We stopped in on a weekday afternoon for some ice cream. We decided to order a peanut butter and chocolate sundae and a chocolate vanilla swirl cup. The young man taking your order was very friendly and helpful. We decided to sit at one of the tables outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. After a couple minutes, we got our ice cream and the swirl was very tasty but nothing outside the ordinary. The peanut butter sundae was really good. If you like peanut butter and chocolate, order this. It's a great place to spend a few minutes while wandering through downtown Pine and have a little dessert. read more

I ordered the cherry lemonade at a decent price, and it was fantastic! It was refreshing, and you also get to keep the cup, and get $2 off a refill if you keep the cup and lid! The service was spectacular! It was quite busy and it only took me around a minute to be served. The shaded tables along the side of the truck were incredibly nice on a hot day (around 90 degrees Fahrenheit), so I am definitely coming back! read more

Did my quarterly Strawberry/Pine run today and wanted something different from my previous visits. I have seen this cute truck a million times but didn't realize the Cali we of it's tastiness. Besides the enormous hot dogs (didn't have one but other people ordered them), the staple here is the soft serve GELATO! Not ice cream....GELATO! I ordered the Gold Digger sundae; vanilla gelato, with chocolate, toffee and other goodness! Portion was good sized as the gelato was filling. Cute tables with bright yellow umbrellas (it was HOT not gonna lie). The young man working was professional and friendly, which was awesome considering he was alone and did I mention it was HOT!) On our previous trips to Pine, Elky's was still in COVID state i.e. closed. I was so excited to see it had opened back up and I'd finally get a chance to have soft serve ice cream in this town. So of course I had to treat myself to one of their sundaes. And it was fabulous. I don't know if the employee *loved* that I came up with my own custom sundae order, but given the above, I wanted what I wanted. I asked for chocolate and vanilla swirl with a little bit of hot fudge, and whipped cream. She charged us the price of the other, fancier sundaes, but again under the circumstances, I didn't really care. There were sufficient tables for the amount of customers on a Saturday afternoon. If you can look past the highway there's a bit of a scenic forest view to take in with your treat. Can't wait for my next Elky's! read more

Amazing! While spending time with the family in Pine we stopped here for ice cream. Such a fun decorated place but the ice cream was amazing, creamy, and homemade. I highly recommend making a stop here when passing by or traveling to Pine! This place is a must! read more

Must stop!! The fresh squeezed lemonade was so refreshing and not too sweet. The slawdog & chili dogs were to die for! The chili is homemade! The nachos were also really good. The workers were very nice and patient with my big family. Definitely will be back!! read more

What a treat! Strawberry/Pine is one of my favorite AZ staycation spots, and I discovered this spot during one of my visits. I was up there in September and treating myself to some retail therapy at one of the antique/boutique shops (Rusty Pine Cone). I had seen this soft serve truck before, it is right on the Rusty Pine Cone's property and is impossible to miss - brightly colored with a large/prominent menu and a few tables w/ umbrellas right in front for seating. I finally couldn't resist any longer and decided to order something this time. They had a seasonal pumpkin special, so I of course opted for that and it was delicious. Rich and creamy, and a huge portion, I couldn't finish it. Service was nice and friendly, it was pretty standard pricing, I think $6 or $7, and I noticed they had some other offerings in the way of hot dogs, chips, and other snacks. I would definitely indulge another soft serve if I head back to Strawberry again. read more

It's hit and miss with this place. We've had some really great lemonade, but last time we ordered some, it tasted like diet lemonade. Next time we went I told them about it and thinking that maybe they gave us someone else's drink asked if they sold both regular lemonade and diet lemonade. They said no, but that they do use a mixture of regular sugar and artificial sweetener that they get premade from a vendor. Obviously that batch was not made correctly. Anyway, beware of the lemonade if you don't like artificial sweetener or am not suppose to have it. And same kind of thing occurred with ice cream. We ordered the #3 (the Peanut Butter Pine Time) and couldn't eat it fast enough it was so good; next time we went it was so runny (thinner than a shake) that you could hardly eat it with a spoon and it tasted nothing like what got in the past. So disappointing. All the staff is super friendly though. read more

Surprisingly fresh, hot, gooey and filling hot dogs and bbq pulled pork. We decided to pull up for a little snack on the side of the road with hopes low to the flow. (Floor) Well, we were delightfully surprised by the quality of the food, fast and courteous service. 10/10 recommend. read more

Happened to drive by on the way to Flagstaff and said "we'll try it on our way back home" well we stopped and got the "Strawberry Hill" a cherry & strawberry lemonade. And I must say DELICIOUS!!!! The weather was perfect so we sat down and sparked up a conversation with locals and the owner of the truck. Very nice people and compliments to the owner. This is a hidden gem for soft serve ice cream cones and ice cream sundaes. They also serve fresh squeezed lemonades and food items. The owner is super nice and very appreciates the support from local business. My boys absolutely loved this truck and we will be back. The truck is hidden but in the same property as The Rusty Pinecone gift shop and next to the Ponderosa Market. A must if you are in pine. read more

We hit five different places in Old Town Scottsdale and definitely came away with our heads full of additional knowledge and our stomachs full of delicious food. It should come as no surprise that Lindsey is a teacher given the attention to detail and history in the information that she shared, and didn't mind one bit when I took some of the wind out of her sails with the Milwaukee connection that one of our steps--AZ88--had with a popular eatery back home. The amount of walking wasn't too much for my mom (recovering from knee surgery), and I cannot appreciate enough that the company didn't cancel the tour despite it just being the two of us on the tour with Lindsey. I also enjoyed that she was a true local, being on a first name-basis with much of the staff at the stops we made, driving home the comments she shared about being a local resident. The stops were varied from chips and salsa to bacon-wrapped water chestnuts, from elote to wine and cheese. And any tour that ends with gelato has to be good!

Wine Collective, where we sampled 3 wines and snacked on charcuterie. 4. Cimmino's, where we had our choice of several flavors of gelato -- and the ingredients were imported from Italy! Each stop featured a unique atmosphere and tasty food. I really appreciated their ability to accommodate dietary restrictions -- because I don't eat red meat, I was provided with two smoked turkey tacos in place of brisket nachos, and with chicken tacos in place of pork tacos. This was a huge plus for me! We spent about half an hour at each establishment before walking to the next. As we traveled, Zach shared some fun facts about the area's history. I left with a satisfied tummy and some great new memories.

There were options to stop for photos, beverages etc. I would note to be prepared for the breeze as you ride on the golf cart and be aware you'll likely be on a couple busy roads with actual cars so ensure your belongings are secure. It was an absolutely fantastic time and I can confidently say I'd love to do another tour with any out-of-town guests who visit me!

Each had a speaker on it as well as a walkie talkie, so our guide up front could keep instructing us and we could hear that as well as a cheery playlist. Another staff member rides at the back for safety. We ate at several places and definitely had enough food! There was time to relax a bit at each stop. The retail shop has expanded - still the oils and vinegars that we know and love, but also other dry sundries like pasta, spices and seasonings. There's a little deli area with loaves of bread, focaccia, fresh cheese. And there's the spa merch - for soaps, balms, and the like. They still offer tours as well. The food is still outstanding. There is a lot of seating inside and out. But it does get VERY BUSY, so yes- during peak brunch hours it can be very hard to find a table. I don't go often enough, but love it every time I go.

The ice cream and various selections are awesome. The high butter fat of the ice cream makes it very flavorful, rich and creamy.
