The lady that took care of me was AMAZING! I'm not bragging when I explain this, but...in the last two months of traveling for work and vacation, I tried local salons on the road, in which I was staying. All of them failed miserably, so for the 4th celebration in PA, Balinese had the highest rating, SOLD! Lisa is an awesome person and very meticulous in her profession. I went today for a mani and pedi and a facial!! Nothing short of fabulous!! My legs, feet, hands and arms feel so invigorated and soft. It was heaven. Lisa did the best manicure and pedicure I have ever had. Hands down. My facial by Amy was the best too! All natural fresh clean products. My skin feels wonderful. The massage was divine. I left there feeling so clean and soft after both services. Floating on cloud 9. I will definitely be a regular. Oh I didn't mention the awesome clothes they have there too. I love everything there. The service was great and ambiance here is amazing, but please please be careful when scheduling a massage. I'm not sure of my masseuses name (nor would I want to advertise it) but it was the worst massage I have ever gotten. I thought she was cold and want to start a fire on my back. Here is a picture of the aftermath. Here is message I received from the spa. We have reviewed your comments and picture following your massage at our facility. After speaking with the therapists that were both present during your couple's massage, we have found that no hot stones, abrasives or deep tissue manipulations were used during your service. The areas in which you show your abrasions are not areas that are manipulated during a massage. The Swedish massages that you both received use long flowing strokes to induce relaxation. We cannot deny that the photo shows something on your back, but we cannot know for sure that it occurred during your visit to our spa. My response: So first of all, I'm not a child being brought into the ER to be evaluated for signs of abuse. I am an educated medical professional that knows exactly how those marks found their way onto my back. Continued rubbing in the same location of a specific area of the body caused those. As for you trying to play the "not sure it was us" card....it was. I'm not filing anything in court and I'm not asking for my money back so stop trying to sound like a litigator. Your facility was not good, period. read more

This spa is nothing short of amazing! You will not be getting a mediocre experience, it's honestly better than any service I've ever gotten anywhere and I live in Austin and we travel a lot. Laura did my massage and she literally gave me the best massage I have ever had. I think she has 9 certifications. My facia was so educational and I got to try a new line of products that were all natural organic and it gave results of products that are harmful and invasive! You can't beat that! We also got a Mother's Day special price which was a nice surprise as it was still two days before Mother's Day. The combination of the heated rollers and Laura's skill using them to massage the muscles from top to bottom makes this experience not only unique but also so effective in relieving muscle stress and tension. Ordered a deep tissue massage to go along with the Balinese signature and received a light skin massage. The lady doing my massage was breathing in my face and I had to ask for a towel to cover my nose. When I called I asked for a deep tissue and they said they will make note, and that the woman that was doing mine was very experienced. At check out, I told them the massage was not a deep at all, and they told me that I didn't have a deep tissue! The sugar scrub was applied and not scrubbed at all. She put it on and wiped it off. Super disappointed because my wife said hers was perfect and we like the same spa experiences. For $300 I would expect a way better massage. My facial was good, and I even purchased the product she recommended. Unfortunately I will not return. read more

This is a boutique bohemian bungalow. We loved it! My wife and I go fishing at the local party boat charter several times a year. We have stayed at several of the chain hotels in the area. This place is better than the "suites" at the local chain stores. I read the review of the older lady that complained about walking up the steps since all the rooms are lofts. I did not like carrying up my wife's wardrobe trunks for a long weekend up the steps..but then once we settled in it was awesome. I absolutely would recommend! I tried to get in for a trip early next month for a week long trip during Spring break, but they were sold out - go figure. Book early and enjoy. We will absolutely be back, when we do better advance planning! read more
