The intimate size of the property worked perfectly for our smaller wedding and being able to add certain rental spaces helped us tailor the property to fit our needs. Shelly and all of the staff at the Garner House were all so incredibly kind and helpful through the process. I wanted to visit a friend in town and decided to work from here for a few hours as to avoid traffic. It's a great space to work from, there's plenty of seating and outlets for your electronics. I sat by the window and there were outlets at the base and they looked a little older, but they work. I decided to get a library card and Sophia helped me out and she was so spunky and nice and she called me friend, it was a really pleasant experience! She also explained to me the different benefits of the card like checking stuff out from the library of things and logging onto the cloud app to access E-books and/or audio books. They also have crochet & knitting meet-up here. Parking was easy and located behind the library.

I guess I've been to this library twice now, and am also getting old. I visited this time around because my book was the One Book, One Ontario pick for 2025. It was a huge honor to have my book selected, and I was very happy to participate in the author event last month and meet so many lovely, thoughtful readers. Librarian Starla Villalba did a wonderful job both organizing and moderating the event. She also decked out the main entryway of the library with displays themed around my book, all designed to engage community members. I love libraries and love to see them thriving due to the hard work of passionate librarians. The Ovitt Family Commmunity Library is a valuable resource for the people of Ontario. I live a little far away, but life is long, I'm sure I'll be back again someday.

I was so excited to find this charming little gem. I thought the address might been botched or that…read morethe person who posted the listing must have somehow been wrong but a close look at the single photo and some snooping around was rewarded with a very generous Little Free Library and the sense that I had discovered a wonderful, little know piece of Claremont. I was so excited after failing and then eventually finding this LFL that I took a few photos that would make it's location more clear. But once I thought about it I realized that the hunt and the eventual success were the most fun elements of the process. So I'll give no more hints than this. The address is correct and the photo is accurate. The selection was a bit thin and there is an unusual amount of room inside this LFL so if your bookshelves are bulging with items you've already enjoyed here's your chance to make someone's day! Go.
