I spoke with a GIA. She is AMAZING! She walked me through step by step while on the phone while I was on my iPad. She helped me with my password and walked me down which app to download also (overdrive). While walking me through it, it was like she was showing me in person following along. That was well over a year ago, and in that time, this agency has done nothing but waste our time, money, and hope. At every stage, Building Bridges has failed us. They canceled meetings, canceled phone calls, and repeatedly rescheduled. They buried us in endless requests for paperwork and documentation from multiple agencies--only to then allow those very documents to expire, forcing us to start all over again. Despite us responding promptly and complying with every requirement, they've shown nothing but negligence and disorganization. We were told, "Once your house is inspected and approved, you'll be ready for placement." Our home was inspected and over six months ago with approval lagging for another 5 months. So, here we sit, still waiting, while Building Bridges drags its feet. We have spent hundreds of dollars on required trainings, testings, and travel--all with nothing to show for it. This is emotionally devastating. My wife and I have clean records, a safe and more-than-adequate home, and we live in a good area with great schools. We are fully ready to provide a loving, stable home. Meanwhile, we've been informed about the 700,000 children in the system in California who need homes--yet Building Bridges has actively prevented us from giving a child a home by refusing to move this process forward. Considering that we can not have biological children of our own and time is not on our side, this experience has been absolutely crushing. Building Bridges has robbed us of more than just time--they've robbed us of opportunity, hope, and trust. I have zero confidence in Building Bridges FFA. Annette, was nothing short of kind and patient while helping us with all our paper work and required documents. You can feel the love she has for the works she does. She continued to offer support through the entire process . Violet is another amazing human whose love for the work she does just pours out. Basil, green beans cilantro eggplant Swiss chard kale turnips carrots guava wow. There was way more variety then that I could not recall them all. All grown right there on the property and cultivated with a love for healthy eating and respect. I was thrilled to have landed there. Fruits and veggies and herbs are not cheap in the grocery store and as I am coming to learn are often genetically modified and coated with who knows what kind of chemicals and pesticides. I loved the fact in First of all the place is huge. There is a Methodist church in the front then you take a long winding road with some turns the property was beautiful and I had one of my dogs with me who was recently attacked by a much bigger dog and was clearly traumatized by the incident. Scared to go outside and body language spoke for him. Dog owners know how to read and recognize their pets To watch my sweet little soul mate excited to be outside sniffing everything so many types of plants and vegetation birds singing, butterflies and bumble bees, up and down a few paths we explored. The young man told me that I'm welcome to come back they are open Monday thru Friday and if I wanted to come everyday that would fine too I left with 2 grocery bags full of wholesome and healthy produce and my dog and I left with a little more pep in our step due to our adventure in nature at this incredible place.

Don Mowery spent 90 or more minutes on the property where he measured, walked, photographed and evaluated the premises. He was on time, completely professional and easy to speak with. Although comparisons were difficult, which we knew ahead of time, he found 7 properties that had changed hands in recent years and that had similarities with the property at hand. For each comp, he provided a lot of data and also photographs. For my late brother's land, he provided a ton of information plus satellite and other views of the property I had not found on public sources.
