I was a walk in to get my gel nails filled and updated for the month... I showed a picture and asked if she could do it and she said yes. She seemed more interested in anything else. Didn't say a word to me the whole time, answered the phone, booked new appointments, made personal calls and checked her phone many times. I continued on tho and let her do her thing that's fine... no cuticle clipping, filed my nails about 8 different times, tries to do the French ombré she said she could do and it comes out half white half pink with a harsh line midway.. I asked for a sparkler white and she said they didn't have anything like that. (In the whole salon not a single sparkley white gel polish- okay) so she put an iridescent silver powder on the tip... no I don't want silver. She said she'd do a normal French tip, at this point it's been about 90 minutes and I need to get out of there (initially wanted my toes done too but definitely not after all this) so I agreed and showed a picture of the French I would like (which after a few tweaks of me correcting her it's close). I have never had an issue at any nail salon like this. And then charging full price when they couldn't do what I even wanted! (I wasn't expecting free but come on!). I was annoyed beyond at this point, and when I mentioned it she did do a $5 discount. I will not be returning to this nail salon ever. There's plenty of other places to go to but I thought I'd give this one a chance. The end result is not horrible but not at all what I wanted and it took substantially longer than any other place I've been to. It's your typical nail salon, however after trying many in the area I always come back to Elle Nails. They have the most consistent techs- nothing is worse than getting your nails done and hating them. You spend each day finding every little detail wrong with the job and progressively get angrier. I know. The pricing seems to be on the lower gamut in comparison to other nail places, which is nice because they've always done quality work. It's not going to look like The Sanctuary on Camelback, this place is older and it shows. They did get new pedicure chairs within the last year or so. I see Hai he is great at acrylics. I have him do my acrylics and pedicures. My acrylics never lift when he does them and I can go 3 weeks between fills. He also doesn't try to up-sell you with 5 dollar addons, or ask you questions about your life when all you want is to get your nails done and leave. If you want quiet time go see Hai. Perfect customer service, polite and efficient. Service was quick, my nail selection was a full set acrylic ombré. I was even told which product for the base would be better after she applied the one I chose. She was right on the correction. I'm glad she voiced her opinion. Had a pedicure done here. The tech was rather rough. Acted as if I was annoying when I flinched while she did my heels. Sorry, it doesn't hurt but tickles. Upon arriving home I noticed the polish was messed up on a couple toes. What bothered me the most about this place was that there was a sweet elderly lady next to me ... and her tech was rude to her. I lost my Mom last year, regardless it was making me angry to see them treating her like she was a nuisance. Also, I usually get gel, but decided to stop as it was thinning my toenails every time they took it off. They do charge $5 extra to take gel off. Just fyi It was my first visit here, and my last. I asked for a full set and while the lady was using the drill for my cuticles she cut me and I started bleeding she told me I'll be okay and don't worry about it. While getting my toes done she used the hot stones it was so hot the top of my foot was red again she told me again I'll be fine. I come here religiously just for Judy!! She is hands down the best nail tech I've EVER had. She always takes care of me every time I come in and my nails are always amazing. Im in a bowling league and im a server so im definitely not easy on my nails but I never have any issues. Just came in today for a fill and a pedicure. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience I had today. I had some time to kill while I was waiting for my dogs to get groomed next door so I wandered into this salon. It was PACKED (which is usually a good sign). I assumed I'd have to wait a long time but they had at least 10 nail technicians so they actually got to me rather quickly. Cindy did my nails and she was very friendly and did a great job. I'm satisfied with how my nails turned out, they look awesome. I have come to this nail salon for years but will NEVER come again. I got a severe infection from this place within 24 hours. I got a pedicure around 2pm on 12/23/20. During my pedicure, my skin was cut on my big toe and it bled. When I got home I cleaned the cut and put antibiotic cream. When I woke up the next day on 12/24/20 the inside of my leg hurt. Throughout the day my leg started to hurt more and more and a red streak appeared from my toe up to my groin in less than 24 hours. Urgent care sent me to the hospital. I spent Christmas Eve in the hospital receiving bags of IV antibiotics. For your safety, do not come here. I learned the hard way. read more

Wear your mask, sanitize, etc. My pedi looks amazing and they give plenty of different options to choose from! Which is nice. You can get a basic pedicure or more deluxe. Hello, I have a usual salon I go to but it's 30 minutes away. A friend recommended this place because it was closer and she had a good experience. I took her advice and went to the salon. Everything went fine, but towards the end of the appointment she started asking me about my engagement ring, what my fiancé and I do for work. I just thought it was her being nice and interested in me, but then when the check came she said "how much tip would you like to add"? Which I thought was a little strange.. I gave her 25% tip feeling generous and she stated "oh I think I deserved more". I then acted very calm even though I wanted to say a few words and take my whole tip away. I paid what I said I would and left. My mom went in for a dip manicure and she was treated very poorly. The tech told her that the color/ nail shape she had chosen was "not for someone her age." Who says that?? I was very disappointed with the structure of this nail salon. They put me in a chair and only took off my gel polish. Then, the lady ditched me to work on someone else. She left me waiting for 25 minutes in a chair, while everyone else was getting worked on. If you put me in the chair, I expect that you work on me. I don't get here often enough but if you are a regular you will get great service, they will remember you, and are very flexible with scheduling. Van gives the best pedicure in the valley (even beats the large resort spas). And the prices are still very reasonable, regular polish mani/pedi combo is $33. Well, I called to make an appointment they put me down for an appointment when I went in I waited 20 minutes. And I didn't have time to do gel nail polish because that takes longer. So I did regular nail polish and with in the next day it was chipping. So I went in there the following day to have them re-polish them in the lady said all she could do was paint over my chip nails. She said you should've got gel it last longer. I was a nail tech for 23 years and my clients would come in once a week without chip nail polish I should be able to come in and get service and if it's not done correctly have it fixed. She said all i could do is paint over it. And after I said if you just paint over the nail polish it won't look good she started yelling at me and said all I can do is paint over your nails that's all I can do for you so I just got up and walked away don't appreciate being yelled at for poor service. Usually I try not to complain but I HATED this place. I called asking what time they close and they said 5 and said I can come in at 5. So I go in at 4:30 and I get the rudest lady ever. She was rushing and grabbing me pretty hard, as she was holding my hand to do my manicure her nail was stabbing me, the drill they use BURNED me. I tried really hard not to say anything, thinking it's fine it won't hurt for long but my nails and skin around it still hurt.. when I left the shop and was home I notice my nails were BLEEDING. She didn't do them good AND she hurt me and she was so rude to me and forced me to get a gel manicure which I didn't want because the color I wanted wasn't gel. Came a few times with good experience. Im rating them poorly over my most recent experience. I went in on a Thursday evening for a fill and pedicure both with gel polish ($120 after tip). 48hrs later my gel on my feet and hands starts to chip. I wasn't able to get back in until Tuesday (4 1/2 days later) by then my left foot had very little of my French tips left and i had some chipping on my hand. I asked for a repolish because they were chipped. I didn't even bring up the fact I was just in. Wasn't angry or asked for anything free. I was sat down and they started working on my feet and hands at the same time removing the polish. The tech then after what sounded like arguing amongst themselves, she tells me my "polish chipped because I didn't hold my hands and feet correctly under the UV light and it didn't cure all the way. She says she can tell by how it chipped and that repolish is not cheap, $25 for hands and $25 for feet." I said ok and they finished me up im not one to argue nor am I going to walk around with chipped up nails. I instantly felt so uncomfortable and not appreciated as a client. I disagree with the fact that this was my fault. So now I've paid this salon $170 in 4 1/2 days and it was my fault. This is bad customer service at least a discount would have been appreciated. My discount must of been that they didn't ask to add a tip onto my service I suggest you go somewhere else. read more
