Melissa said brown or light brown whatever shade your eyebrows are or whatever you want, but when I got there and I laid down on the table, she said only thing she does is black. I said well OK . I then asked if my eyelashes are long enough for this ?she said "yes they are ". One hour later....once She gave me the mirror . absolutely nothing changed. Only thing different was she got black dye on my waterline on my top lid but none on the other lid my eyelashes did not curl. They didn't look any different. I mean, the did didn't even set in .. Maybe my eyelashes were oily ...She should've washed them out and I don't know but they did not make me pay for them so they're pretty good about that even the receptionist must have seen that it didn't take. I cannot say enough how fantastic the experience has been in spite of the circumstances that prompted it being not so fun and actually pretty scary. Ashley has been phenomenal in helping me navigate my injury and I cannot say enough about both her technical skill as a practitioner and her level of caring as a person. She also was a great sounding board as I worked with an orthopedist and a PT. She supported me as I needed to advocate for myself when my pain was minimized. Of all the treatment options, this is the one that I've chosen to continue. The space is comfortable, clean, and relaxing. I've never had an issue finding street parking. To start, the space where you receive your massage is in a very zen, cool space filled with things to help you relax and feel comfortable. It is located inside a mixed use building so there were several points where we heard people talking and yelling during the massage, so that was a bit annoying but not Joe's fault. If you're used to a spa like massage, this is not the place for you. That being said, I've had massages in all different types of spaces so I could get over the noise and still relax. The techniques he used were very unique and many I hadn't experienced before. I felt very loose and relaxed afterwards and noticed later that night I was extremely emotional so massage must have worked out a lot of emotions and built up tension. It was a very relaxing experience and the ambient music was perfect. Joe made sure to make sure I was comfortable many times and didn't talk much during the massage which I appreciated, as some LMTs are chatty when you're trying to relax. He also started off the session by explaining his approach and techniques which I really appreciated and helped make me feel comfortable.
