I had my keratin lift and tint for my eyelashes. I don't think the girl knew what she was doing. She was a bit young and when I was when I booked my appointment, I asked Mellissa what colors do they use . Melissa said brown or light brown whatever shade your eyebrows are or whatever you want, but when I got there and I laid down on the table, she said only thing she does is black. I said well OK . I then asked if my eyelashes are long enough for this ?she said "yes they are ". One hour later....once She gave me the mirror . absolutely nothing changed. Only thing different was she got black dye on my waterline on my top lid but none on the other lid my eyelashes did not curl. They didn't look any different. I mean, the did didn't even set in .. Maybe my eyelashes were oily ...She should've washed them out and I don't know but they did not make me pay for them so they're pretty good about that even the receptionist must have seen that it didn't take. Had an incredible experience getting a facial by Carly- she had a very relaxing presence and was attentive through the whole treatment, making sure I was comfortable and enjoying the process. She is truly talented at what she is. The whole scheduling process was also seamless and I even spoke to Trish (the owner) directly and she was so sweet to even follow up afterwards to ensure I had a great experience. The last time I had a Swedish massage was going on eight years ago, it was time to change that. Looking around online for best massage near Cheektowaga, The Body Bar appeared with plenty of excellent Google Reviews and a couple of good Yelp ratings. To cut to the chase, I am very glad I came here! I signed up for a 60-minute Swedish Massage, about a month out, for the end of September with ease using the website. They did a nice job reminding me about my session, keeping me informed over both email and text. I arrived about 20 minutes early since it was my first time. It took me a moment to figure out where I needed to park as The Body Bar is in a building with multiple businesses. There is a lot parallel to the road and then a connected side lot, which the connected side lot was where I parked. Finding it was a little bit of a maze at first too, but as of 10/01/2023, they were located on the second floor, deep in the building. Thankfully there are signs that pointed me where to go. I walked into the main reception room and checked in with my massage therapist, Michelle. Afterwards, she led me over to the room where my session was, explained everything she was going to do, and then left so I could prepare. I placed all of my items inside the same room where my session was, so that was nice to have them all close by just in case. I also turned my phone to silent as I wanted to be fully engaged in the session. My session was wonderful! I felt relaxed and at peace. Towards the end of the session, Michelle and I chatted for a bit, which was light and fun and helped me feel relaxed. By the end, Michelle told me my right side was tighter than my left and advised adding in additional stretches as I run five-days-a-week. She also provided some other good advice about my skin and what I should expect the day after my session. I was sad the session was over! Michelle did a nice job making sure it as a full 60-minute session. Once I redressed and collected my stuff, I headed back into the reception room and paid, quick and easy. I had a great experience at The Body Bar! It might take a moment to figure out the parking and navigate the signs to find them inside, but it is smooth sailing after that. So, all these small lingering issues I've had, neck and shoulder stiffness, back pain, ect,,,, who could imagine that with a single visit these annoying issues would be almost forgotten because Tricia was so patient with listening and offering advise on how specific types of massages help with different areas of need, skeptical as always I was not completely convinced. It took awhile but after about 30 seconds I wondered where has this particular therapy been my whole life!! It's always been there and I am forever grateful for learning from Tricia, I'm a new monthly patient moving forward with tons of referrals advising people about The Body Bar!
