After the work was completed, the balance was paid on 3/27/26 for $4,630.47. Original amount $8,603.12 approved on 3/4/26 Deposit paid $4,301.56 on 3/4/26 via Amex Balance paid $4,630.47 on 3/27/26 via Amex They have since charge my Amex and Citi cards multiple times, for charges totaling $27,810.87 Citi 3 $4,601.56 2 $386.25 (this was the monthly fee + late fee that never happened) Amex 2 $4,301.56 1 $4,630.57 They wrote me 2 checks that were no good 1 $14,577.18 and 1 $13,233.69 We have been working with them for weeks and it always the same, lies and lies. "I broke down, I have a doctors app, I am at swim meet for my daughter, I am traveling, etc." So far, they have refunded the following Amex 1 $4,630.57 and 2 $4,301.56

The address of his "business " was a vape shop (now vacated with a bakery next door ) , he had no proper business license and ignores all attempts to rectify situation informally. My electric bill went up $40 a month, nothing energy savings about it. It ran almost constantly. His so-called "fix" was a hideous patch that doesn't even come close to matching. When we reasonably asked for a proper liner replacement, he flat-out refused. If he's bonded and insured, he should be willing to utilize that with the intent to remedy my torn pool liner. Things only got worse. We watched one of his employees literally sweep dirt into the center of the pool with a broom instead of vacuuming -- which turned our pool green. Matt promised he would come fix it personally, but despite multiple reminders, he never showed up. On top of that, he swapped out our filters at every visit and then never returned them after we fired him, even after repeated requests.

However, because I was not informed of this appointment, I did not have the blank salt cell outside so that they could put it in for the winter. When I contacted Total Pool and Spa to ask when the tech would be coming out again to change the salt cell, I was told there would be an additional $150 charge for service that could have happened if I had been notified of the day they were going to be at my house. That was my last dealing with Total Pool and Spa! I hired a much more efficient, reliable pool company.
