He kept scheduling appointments for the repair and then making excuses why he had to reschedule. At one point he said he had Covid, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Another time he said he had to go out of town as his Brother had died. After about 2-3 months of this, I told him I wanted a refund as I had decided to get someone else to do the repair. After multiple calls with him I had him agree to Fedex me a "refund" check, which of coarse bounced, along with my control panel that he had taken with him. Gordon Charles Smith is a scammer! He took my money and didn't even attempt to do the work. I'm also filing a criminal complaint with the sheriff's department in Henderson County, as well as a complaint with the NC Department of Justice. He needs to be held accountable for these actions or he will keep doing it to other people. I found another guy to do the repair for me, and when I told him what had happened, and the name of the company, he said he had four other clients that were scammed by the same guy.
