By day, the conservatory is vibrant with paper printing and academic program. By night, there was Dress to Impress Fundraiser. I arrived here by night but also want to come back during the day to see the venue's full potential. SPACE: The space is a very simple warehouse-esque location. The space has multiple rooms, storage (presumably for paper), and equipment. During our visit it fully transformed into a wrap around runway and event space with gallery pockets. It was perfectly cozy and engaging. Few parking spots are available, the remainder is street parking in a residential area. EVENT: Dress to Impress event was one of the most creative fashion shows in the city. I've seen a lot of fashion shows. This was one of the better expressions of wearable art. Almost all garments were made out of paper, some from phone books! The show was refreshingly inclusive and celebrated all people. It was beautiful. The event also featured silent auction with event tickets, wearables, and art. It was a lovely occasion with a DJ, small bites, wand paper fashion. The event was good value with various tiers for different guests. It was certainly better priced than some other local fundraisers. SERVICE: I interacted with a few staff members prior to the event and at the event. All were so sweet and genuinely welcoming. The hospitality was just top notch. I felt so very welcome! I would highly recommend attending the next Dress to Impress event to any fashionistas. I can't speak for the classes just know that they offer paper making, printing, book binding, marbling, and more. I plan to keep my eyes on their schedule and attend a workshop next time.

Was the harmonica a former possession of Old Man Nicholson? Seriously, there was a harmonica on display with a little white label next to it reading "harmonica." No duh it is a harmonica, but what is so important about it? It also really bothered me that there was a doll on display with her hair parted for pigtails and only one pigtail was secured with a ribbon. The other pigtail was just lose; she looked like a homeless lady off her meds. I spent a long time staring at that doll thinking of all the reasons the person who arranged the display left her like that: 1)It was arranged by a man. 2)Someone found the doll with only one original hair ribbon and realized it was missing a ribbon but did not buy matching ribbon from Jo-Ann's because she wrongly wanted to keep the doll "authentic." 3)The person had absolutely no clue what she was doing and she has no eye for design what so ever. Perhaps she is an accountant or banker. Either way, this person never spent a lazy summer afternoon braiding her sister's hair poolside, that's for damn sure.

By the early 1960s the building, in near total disrepair, was nearly torn down to make a parking lot. Fortunately the historic store was saved before demolition began and restored by Robert Hunker. The courtyard area is amazing as well. They have a downstairs area with several rooms each room has a tv easily ready for presentations. You can hear every noise from the upstairs area. It was literally like the movie stomp the yard. The floors constantly creak. Not an ideal space for classes in which I attended. More of a party space vs a learning event environment. You could visibly see the insulation in the ceiling. The bathrooms were clean but had the cheapest of toilet paper with butterflies on it. Overall this is a party venue not a total event space.

I visited two times within the same week and loved how each event really personalized the space and made it their own. This is perfect for corporate or creative events. It's a beautiful canvas for people to be able to add their own branding and flair. They have a bar and lots of different seating options. The bartenders at Market Garden are always on point and friendly. The space is also super easy to get to. There a huge parking lot behind Market Garden and an elevator to get upstairs if needed.

The views are immaculate - the Westside Market and W 25th. The rooftop has a bar area, tables, and benches. There are various tropical vibes - aquamarine hues, white vacay looking furniture, tropical plants, and gorgeous blue canopy/overhang. The decor has gorgeous juxtaposition with brick walls of the building. It's just gorgeous. You have to visit and take a million pictures. I felt like I was on the mini vacation. While this destination is on the rooftop, it also offers considerable amount of privacy. For instance, while walking up to the building, I wasn't able to see or hear the event I was attending. It's a big plus to have this privacy yet view the surrounding landmarks. As far as getting up there, find the door directly across from the entrance. Go up a few flights of stairs and arrive at the Canopy. The rooftop bar and event venue is only available for private events. I visited this location for a yoga class with Bottoms Up Yoga & Brew. There will be another class here in July (find it on Eventbrite). I really enjoyed the yoga class here. It accommodated our small group very well and we went for brews downstairs to the Market Garden Brewery right after. All of us were very impressed with this rooftop. I wanted to visit this venue for the longest time. I finally stopped in for the Cleveland Vintage Market hosted by the Cleveland Vibes. Ambiance: The space is huge - over 11,000 square feet of open space. There are remnants of Tenk Machine & Tool outside - a little mural. There is one ballrooms and separate rooms to the back of the event space. The vibes are industrial sophistication - gorgeous exposed brick walls, wood details, and abundant natural lighting. I can absolutely envision a wedding here with juxtaposition of delicate and rough. I love exposed brick walls, so for me the venue was just perfect. It was also just right for the Cleveland Vintage Market. It fit in plenty of vendors and attendees with still sufficient room to roam. Marigold Catering: There were sandwiches and cinnamon rolls for sale during the event offered by Marigold. I did not try either. I really enjoyed Marigold catered food at other events I've historically attended at other venues around the city. Service: I interacted with the security staff at this venue. They were so friendly and great at directing the foot traffic. Parking: Parking is available at a surface lot next door owned by Marigold. If you're up for a show walk, Nautica Pavilion is also a good parking choice. Ubering to this destination is pretty easy, GPS shows an accurate location. I look forward to visiting Tenk West Bank again! I hope that the venue hosts other events soon so that I can come back!
