I am new to the area and was looking for a new nail salon. I should have turned around and walked out of the door when I walked in and the place was freezing cold at 10:00 a.m. . It was 32° outside and they had a small electric heater going inside. I was greeted at the door by an unkempt male. As I was trying to explain what I wanted I was hurried away to an extremely uncomfortable massage chair that left me nearly in tears after my services from back pain. As I was trying to explain what I wanted which was simply french tips I fill in on both my nails for my feet and hands. The lady doing my feet drew blood not once but twice with the drill they use. Prior to that they put my feet in cold water when I complained they turn on the hot water and it burnt the top of one foot. I was told I would be there 45 minutes I was there nearly 2 hours. My toenails are very uneven and the French tips are very messy looking. My fingernails the fill in does not match the previous color which is a simple neutral or natural color. I am a nurse so I keep my fingernails relatively short and professional looking they are uneven on both hands. I've never paid more than $135 at any nail salon for these services. Today my bill was $175. I was also paying close attention to the hygiene practices. I did not see any of the equipment brought out to use on the drills in any type of sanitary bags and they were placed right back on the same card that they came back on after they used them on me and drew blood I paid them and all I wanted to do was get out of there as soon as possible I hope they see this review and know that I will not be coming back. told read more

Went with my future sister-in-law to get our nails done at Ellijay Nail Salon for her bachelorette weekend. My sister-in-law is Vietnamese and can speak and understand the Vietnamese language. Before we could even sit down, my sister-in-law could hear the staff making rude comments about me and my sister-in-law's appearance, calling us fat amongst other insults in Vietnamese. As I only speak English, I did not know this yet and while we were getting our nails done, the nail technician pointed out that my sister-in-law was wearing a "bride" pin and I made a point to say that she is a bride and about to get married. When I called the staff over who made these they denied that they had said this despite my sister-in-law hearing it quite clearly. Very very disrespectful and disappointing service. Wish I had known before I tipped over 20%. Think next time before you make nasty comments and remember that you never know who can understand what you're saying. read more

I went to this salon for an acrylic fill. The tech tried to convince me to switch to gel and I said no. Instead of using nail polish remover to take off my existing polish, he used the dremel, only partially removing it. He did the acrylic fill extremely fast. I mentioned that I still had polish on my nails, and he said don't worry. After the fill, he filed my nails very fast and told me to wash my hands. Every nail was uneven and rough at the tip. I mentioned it and he used the buffer on them. He opened up the bottle of polish, and I told him again I still had old polish on my nails so he used the dremel again to get it off. Once he started to paint my nails, he left too much space between the polish and my cuticle. It looked like my nails after 10 days growth. I asked him to polish all the way to the cuticle. He said, "you don't want that" and I said yes I do. He said it will look sloppy. I told him he could remove any that got on my skin. He ignored me and so when he finished the second coat, I told him there was too much space. He went back and added more polish but didn't blend it well, so now there is a hump. The worst nail experience I have ever had. By the way, I watched him finish the previous client, and she got better service to include cuticle oil and a hand massage. He asked for payment ($40 for a fill) before painting my nails. if I had realized how bad it was going to be, I definitely wouldn't have left the tip that I did. He was overcompensated. When I go to a nail salon I usually have a pretty good experience. I came in here and it was pretty good until the end. I left paying $86 for a full set French. Don't let them take advantage of you like they did me. My mom called asking why I was charged suck a high amount and they acted like they didn't speak English. Be cautious before going in there or thinking about going in there. read more

First time there, had a pedi and fill in. Pedi was not good and not worth it. I May as well have just got a polish change as my feet are in exactly the same condition as they were when I went in. I wasn't impressed with the fill in either, have polish on cuticles and filed unevenly. They were still sticky as he didn't leave them under the light for long enough. Man who did my fill in had a very rough, aggressive attitude, I even noticed it with the customer ahead of me. I won't be going back, and not sure how they expect to keep new clients. read more

My mom and I had really great pedicures here!! The place is clean and the technicians are friendly and professional. We got the deluxe pedicure which was $60 but I'm from California and I'll pay that for a great pedicure. In my opinion, it was worth it! read more

Let me start off by saying the vibe was mediocre but they definitely need to work on a few things. I Made a 10 am appointment for my mom and I I got in within 10 minutes while me mom waited an extra hour with nobody even looking in her direction. The workers are nice but whoever does the scheduling needs to work on there timing... it's honestly kinda sad to see them prioritize walk ins over appointments and being a business owner myself I could never. We had other appointments to go to today and had to cancel because of this. And when they finally sat my mom down they had her dip her hands in acetone to the point her hands were like shriveling up.Hopefully they step up to the plate soon or I foresee them losing a BUNCH of customers. read more

Me and my friends went there and they scammed us. My friends got a full set and they lady doing the nails said it would be $55. They paid 81 to 86 dollars. Another girl was there that we knew and she got the same thing but she payed 65. We were alone with no adults so I have a feeling they were taking advantage of that. Which is sick. Doing that to kids is wrong and they should feel bad. One of my friends called her mom and told her about it and she called the salon and she asked how much a full set would be like the same thing her daughter got. She said 55. The whole reason they paid more was because the nails were "pointer" like come on. Be for real. I'm also reading these other reviews and these are extremely sad. One of the reviews was talking about how the workers were calling them fat but in their language. HA! LITTLE DID SHE KNOW SHE SPOKE THEIR LANGUAGE. I strongly recommend you don't go. read more

When grinding my nails the ground off top layer of nails after they soaked them for 30 minutes in acetone then ground them again. Said they had to do it to get polish off. They don't know what they're doing. The place is dirty. I don't believe the reviews. How can they be licensed?! Think twice before going there. I won't go back. They ruined my nails read more

I went with a positive attitude on what I wanted for my nails. A guy with a gold chain I guess he was one of the nail techs started doing my nails. I showed him the picture of what I wanted he glanced at the picture and did something completely different. He smelled like he just got out of a cigarette box. I mentioned that one of the nails was very crooked and as I was explaining to him what the issue was he walked away. He kept watching a soccer game the whole time he was doing my nails. Completely ignored my issue on the nail and he kept rushing me on taking my nails out of the gel light and they weren't even dry. I wanted a coffin type nail and I got square. This man should not be doing nails. They are blocky, not what I wanted. Will not go here again to get acrylic nails. He kept nipping me with the damn drill and didn't even say sorry. I knew I was in trouble when the tech said twice that builder gel was simply clear gel polish. Should've left then, but recently relocated back to Georgia and was desperate. I made an appointment in advance, and asked for an experienced nail tech. What I got was 1 pedicure person who had little to no experience, seriously didn't even know how to wrap feet/legs with hot towels. She started by laying the towels on top of my legs instead of underneath. The result was a clothes line approach that left the towels hanging on my lets. 3 nail techs touched my hands, because apparantly it takes a village to do my nails. If you're counting, that's a total of 4 techs. I saw zero sanitizing equipment or even Barbicide, just tools on a cart that the tech had to rumage through. This salon is the stereotypical "rush them through", high-volume nail salon, and one I will never use again. Very disappointing. read more
