This has quickly become our go to place on Friday evenings where our little biker boy has enough space to go wild with his scooter, as we admire him and hudson river views while sipping on some libations. Slightly overpriced menu, but seating and setup is perfect for people with families. Many many kids around too! All self-serve and their bar food options are decent although we've only ordered fries once which were as per expectation.

Do not come here!!! I repeat, do not! I used to be a regular and would come here every weekend during the summer. Unfortunately, that ship has ended thanks to the "lovely Brooks," who is the current manager. Might I add... she stated she was the owner of this establishment along with the bartender. She is quite unprofessional and does not know how to conduct herself as such. When you work for hospitality you should know how to be hospital. I came here with my lovely family, as I always typically do. I witnessed Ms. Brooke yell at two underage girls who just wanted to play with sand and probably did not see the sign that was inside the restroom as they went directly for the water bin that was placed outside. I then asked for her name and the bartender stated he couldn't simply because she was the owner. She then came from behind and yelled and so I yelled back and stated it's not what you say, but it's how you say it. Learn how to conduct yourself. Never again I step here and I will spread this to all my UWS friends.. Do not waste your time. The food was mediocre and apparently, it's not family friendly. They lost a regular, for sure.

Riverside Park + Outdoor Cafe + Spring in New York = Immense Happiness. As long as the humidity is at bay, and the sun is not heating the asphalt to temperatures that would make the devil flinch, I cannot think of a more perfect setting to enjoy an artfully crafted individual pizza, a cool glass of lemonade (a bit way too sweet), and a decent selection of draft beer. This is my Riverside Park sunset hang. A great place to hang with your dog, to chat with friends, or to stare into the eyes of your lover as you enjoy your last evening together until your return trip a few weeks from now. Service staff is friendly and helpful when you ask about menu items. If you are in Riverside Park this summer, you should check this place out.

Is this the best mixed drink or best burger place? No. Is it a great local spot to have a drink & burger while hanging out & enjoying the park? YES

It's a great place to hang out with friends and family. Kids playing in the sand. Cocktails and Beers for the adults. Food and snacks. But post pandemic management decision to only sell bottled water when pier I has free cups of water. Pizza that could barely be called Pizza anywhere in the world let alone NYC. Environmentaly they are a disaster. Everything in single use plastic. Tied up in a single use bag. I'll be back but wish they could do better. Then again I guess they don't need to. They can be this mediocre and still have us spending money.

Went after work with a few friends, maybe an hour before golden hour. They have an upstairs and downstairs area. My friends and I sat downstairs to be closer to the water. We scanned a QR code to access the menu and ordered from our phones. They called order numbers at the counter and it took awhile for the food to be ready. So long that i went up to ask 3x. My friend who was half an hour late was at our table before the food was ready and I had put in her order before she left her place. The food is expensive for what it is. I ordered chicken tenders and it came with three mildly seasoned pieces, honey mustard that was more mustard than honey on the side. My friend ordered the apple salad. There's an option to add chicken for an additional $8. She opted not to add it. After we received the salad she mumbled that she could have made the same thing it home haha. My other friend ordered a burger which she liked. I think this place did their prices based on the value of the location and being by the water in Riverside Park. You really have to walk through the park to get here. The setting is nice, but not enough to justify the quality of what you're getting at this price. Overall I get it, it was a good experience but probably wouldnt come back unless a friend wanted to.

Always a great setting and the menu has changed with more interesting choices...the food is packaged and served in LARGE single use plastic containers. As a result- I will not order food from the kitchen!

Decided to come here after work for a drink and some food. Here are my thoughts: What I ordered: Margarita $13 delicious but too small for the price. Chicken sandwich: just okay. The French fries were good and crispy! More pros: The staff! All of the staff at this establishment are friendly! Another pro is the view. Tip: to get the best seats come before 5 on the weekdays

    Do they take reservations?

No, they unfortunately don't. I think they only take bookings if you're having a large party and want to rent out the whole space.

I was able to make reservations at the last minute on a Sat night despite July being a very touristy month in the city. We arrived early and an outdoor table was just finishing up so we were sat within a handful of minutes. Beautiful evening to sit outdoors and the people-watching was good but not bothersome. We ordered Escargot, crispy artichokes, french onion soup, the duck and the steak au poive, all of which were excellent (the duck was very nice). Despite the variety of wine available we were enjoying cocktails and our water glasses were constantly refilled. The service was very good as well and the maitre d was also very pleasant. Very solid performance and would love to revisit at a later date.

Conclusion- disappointed, as it's 5 years past its prime, as its last Michelin Bib Gourmand (2021) sign had proven prophetic. Pros- the only non-French menu item off the lunch menu, the burger with fries, was one of the tastiest I had anywhere in sometime. Would have been perfect had I ordered it medium rare, instead of medium. One plus is the decent portion size, for both main entrees and appetizers. Cons- all the other French menu items can use room(s) for improvement. Starting with the mussels bowl, although very flavorful, mussels were a bit overcooked, and it can use a bit more butter, and one less pinch of salt in flavoring. Next, the Escargot appetizer can use more flavoring, and the tuna tartare was way too bland, definitely needs more salt, pepper, and whatever other seasoning to enhance its flavor. Service- server attitude was decent; however, the wait times for food for both appetizers & main entrees were way too long, especially given the fact it's a rainy weekday mid-afternoon and there were only 2 other tables of diners. Given its past glory, and fact there are several other Amelies chain locations in NYC, perhaps the owner(s) of this establishment can take my constructive comments to heart?

I'd call it "French style" where you should ask if you need because they don't coddle you and constantly check in, which I prefer. It's a bit small but that's neither good nor bad, just what it is. The "casual fine dining" they're going for is the perfect description. I felt neither over nor under dressed in a button up short sleeve and a nice pair of jeans. I mean it's drenched in butter... it's obviously going to be delish. the fries were perfectly crisp on the outside and layered in salt. weird to have to ask for mayo but they did bring it out. - the, albeit pretty, veggie sides I felt were unnecessary and borderline cold so unclear on how much they really added the meal - the Tarte Tatin à la mode was a win around the table. the apple melted in your mouth. the Poire belle Hélène was good but paled in comparison
