One of the best to do it! Not quite a dive, not quite a sports bar club ambiance. Its the sweet spot where they always deliver a top experience. They have plenty of tvs for the game, great beer selection and top notch bar food. Trust me their wings will be your new favorite. Great spot for groups, just watching the game solo or a chill date. It is pretty spacious, I've gone a few times when people were having birthdays. One thing to note is the trap doors to get into the bathrooms lol. read more

I celebrated my 30th birthday at E's, and I truly could not have asked for a better experience!!!!!!!!! Ajay and Mia took amazing care of us and were so attentive to our group of 23, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the night. The food and drinks were incredible !!! Our open bar package was immaculate and so smooth! We also ordered large platters, and everything was handled with so much care and attention. The entire team was incredibly welcoming and kind, and they let us decorate however we wanted, which made the night feel even more special :) We were able to fully enjoy ourselves without worrying about anything!!! Came here with my friend after work. We grabbed seats at the bar. They have the doors open and it was beautiful weather out so it was nice and open for us. We started off with two margaritas and the chips and guac. Service was fast, efficient and unparalleled. You can tell they really care about their customers. The guac and chips were freakin perfect. If I was to order that I'd want the chips to be theirs every time! So delicious ... especially the guac. We wished our margaritas were a bit more spicy but still a great drink made. We tried the frozen margarita as well... that was fantastic. Not too sweet and very refreshing for a summer day. The straw given was fun. The shrimp tacos were delicious and it came with 5!!! I wish I had a better word for delicious maybe mouth watering. Really this spot was so great. My friend ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and the first words she said after taking a bite were "omg" she said it was so crispy so good. 10/10 for that sandwich. It was trivia night here. We didn't play but still fun and in all great vibes from all of there employees. This place was a 5 star bar. Totally exceeded our expectations. read more

A very sad birthday experience :( A warning to those who make birthday plans here-- I am very disappointed by my experience, which is so sad to say because I don't usually judge harshly in my reviews. But being that this was my birthday, and was lied at to my face, it was kind of a bummer. So...What Happened? I chose the upper west side to have my party so my friends wouldn't have to be hit with congestion pricing. E's made it easy online to book a space in their bar, so I reserved for 20 people. I guess that was too easy. When I got there, we were seated at a table in the front of the bar with only 10 seats. When I went up to the person that sat us down, I asked where our other table was because we had a reservation for 20. The response was, "oh people usually just stand around the table if it's more than 10 people". Bro...what?? No where online did it say that. It was my birthday, and I was embarrassed and disappointed. Eventually the folks sitting behind my table moved and my group took over that space but that wasn't until 45 minutes later. We then had a server for my table who promised us a round of shots for the group. I asked 30 minutes later about the shots and he told me no. So not only did we get screwed over by the seating, but the empty promises made it worse. So..Anything Good to Say? The aesthetic is cool. I liked the jukebox they had in the front half. Food was decent too, I have to give it that. If I was introduced to this place with a small group, I would've had a fantastic time. But with a group bigger than 10, and shoving us all in the walkway comes off as stingy business practice. Overall My friends made my birthday special, but I had a hard time fully enjoying myself feeling so embarrassed by inviting all these people and them having to be crowded on standing while they eat. I feel betrayed by this place low key. I don't cause scenes and didn't the other day but the empty promises, and me having to face my friends like this was an awful feeling for me. I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, nor fussy. I love to celebrate businesses and that shows in my many other reviews. I'm way bummed by this experience. read more

Came here for a quick drink as the next door Tiki Chick was quite intimidating for me to go there solo without my girl (and wasn't in the mood for a cocktail at happy hour).... All kidding aside, the bar is pretty cool. Definitely go when the doors are open in the spring/summer as you get a nice breeze. Didn't get any food here. I saw there was some extra seating in the back for private parties. Lot of board games too, so fun way to enjoy some food/drinks/games. read more

Cute bar, great menu, nice to sit outside. We had great service and a great time. The entire side wall slides out in nice weather and its great to have the fresh air. Gets very buzzy in the evenings, really nice servers and manager. read more

Spreading the Yelp love for #ThankYouThursday to this bar that made my birthday this year so special and fun! As many New Yorkers know, it is so hard to find a spot to make a large group reservation without a fee or food/drink minimum. E's is the place! We had a reservation for 10. You put a credit card down to hold the reservation and there is a cancellation policy. However, there is no minimum or fee to reserve a large table! This spot is definitely more of a dive bar, but it is so fun! The music was pumping and the drinks were flowing! They even had a sign on our table that said "Cara's Birthday!" So cute! They also have a plethora of board games you can get out and play at your table. Thanks for making my birthday so fun and stress free this year! read more

I love this bar! I go almost every Tuesday for trivia. The staff is so amazing. The happy hour deals are pretty good prices, the food is also very good for bar food. We love the nachos. It can get crowded for trivia so I recommend booking a table in advance. It's such a great vibe inside with many booths and cool stickers on the walls. I love coming here read more

First Impressions: This spot became one of my favorite local spots to hang out ever since the pandemic and outdoor seating started. I love the vibes and the happy hour crowd. I always end up meeting dope ass people here. The Noms: The happy hour food is filling and cheap. I wish they'd expand the menu a bit more since I like coming here so often, it would be nice to have more options. Last time I came here with a girlfriend, one of the guys behind the bar offered us wings (which I would never turn down free food, lol) he said he was trying out two flavors to trial on the menu. It was good, love the spicy sweet flavor best.. the other one was just regular buffalo wing sauce. If you're reading this... PLEASE EXPAND THE HAPPY HOUR DRINKS MENU! Thank you! I love coming here for trivia nights and for karaoke. I'm too chicken shit to actually go up and sing, but I love singing along as a backup singer lol. This has become my default spot to take out of town friends who visit (along with Prohibition) so please please keep improving! I was in the area to see batman. I stopped in here quick and place was lively . I sat at the bar And got a quick drink. The beer and the drink was really good. The prices here are also very reasonable. I like the vibes of the bar and the Bartender were friendly And attentive. I did not try any food so I would definitely have to come back to visit. This place is just great all around. I have to admit I came with no expectations because my friend described it as "divey". Our server dude was really rad - he was upbeat, patient, speedy, and generally all-around helpful. Probably one of the best servers I've had this year which is kind of wild to think about because I've been to so many restaurants. We hopped in after hanging at Tiki Chick a couple doors down and we kind of took over a table between the inside and outside awning of E's. We got a round of jello shots which were apparently fairly strong, but the flavouring was delicious and my taste buds had numbed a bit by that point so it was just generally good. They are prepackaged if you feel like you want something made in-house. I had to pace myself afterwards. I got the poison apple drink which sounded pretty good - I did ask for it light so I can't comment on the alcohol content of it but what I can comment on is the Maraschino Cherry they added. I'm pretty sure it was a Luxardo Maraschino Cherry which is literally the best kind of maraschino. I was THRILLED to see it and eat it. Even if it wasn't Luxardo, it's a darn good copy. E's immediately gained 1000 points in my book for that because it shows a pretty high level of care for their drinks. I'm not some drink aficionado but I do love quality drink toppings. My priorities are skewed, but I'm glad I noticed this. Drink toppings aside, something about the ambience got us to open up a lot more than when we were just a couple of doors down - what was a birthday gathering with some silence and pauses turned into a rumble of energy that ended up with our entire group going out to dance after. E's bar is a great casual spot to stop by for a quick drink or have an extended game night with friends. I've been here a couple of times for birthday get togethers as well as just meeting up with friends who live near the area. Honestly, I don't know why more bars dont keep boardgames in the back because it's such a fantastic business model, each time I've been here I've ended up staying longer because it's fun to just play through different board games while catching up with friends. The food has always been pretty good, the drinks have been reasonably priced, and the service is quick and straightforward. Most recently I had the chopped cheese which had jalapeño in it and was very yummy. Will certainly be back! read more

The table side s'mores are brilliant. It's such a cool concept. The proportions are off though. You get a dozen or so marshmallows but only one chocolate bar. So it's more like tableside roasting marshmallows than s'mores. Drinks were ok. Fries and onion rings were really good. We sat in the table service section in the back but waited forever before a waiter came to take our order and again when we needed the check. read more

Great happy hour until 7pm Monday-Friday. I had the angry orchard rosé cider and happy hour fries. I also had a cherry frozé, not on HH but only $9. Ruben was our server and kept everything fun and the drinks flowing. Gets a bit crowded, but plenty of seating and games. read more

Ok guys coolest date day/night idea! Take your date to e's BAR for board games and s'mores! The bar is so cute, clean and has safety measures in place. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. We grabbed scrabble but there was a ton of other options. Then we settled in to enjoy making our s'mores! This is my new favorite spot on the UWS. Friendly staff and great service every time. The food is absolutely delicious. Burgers and fries (always topped with savory, never too salty, seasoning) come out piping hot and fresh every single time. The cheeseburger deluxe is also topped with an amazing onion aioli. If you like onion rings, the ones here are super crispy with a well seasoned batter. This bar is the perfect ode to some of the best musicians between the 70s to early 2000s. There's always great music. There's cool lighting and it's very clean on the inside. I'm a regular and always will be! read more

The best board games bar in the city! We have tried quite a few of them all over Manhattan and Brooklyn, and E's has remained our absolute favorite. The vibe is always casual, friendly, and fun, and ramps up a bit on Friday and Saturday nights. They have a fantastic selection of games, enough that there is always a new one to try even though we have easily been there 20+ times over the last few years. The servers are always laid-back, there are different seating areas depending on the vibe you're looking for, and the burgers are AMAZING. The happy hour deals are also amazing, and incredible that it's most of the day! We have easily spent 5+ hours here on multiple occasions because you just don't want to leave. We also recently hosted an event here, and it was such an easy and positive experience. Erin was so friendly and incredibly helpful with our options for how to book it, and really took the stress out of any part of the planning process. The day itself was perfectly smooth, and our guests really loved the relaxed and fun vibe of the bar - exactly what we hoped for. Hopefully we'll have a reason to book an event with E's again, but we will for sure be there regularly in the meantime! read more

Can't speak to this place during "normal" hours but I was here before a Jacob's Pickle res earlier today during their happy hour (that lasts until 7pm!!!!) and had a mimosa and split fries with a girlfriend. The mimosa was good, not great but also I'm not sure I've ever had a great mimosa. Fries were better than expected for it being a dive bar frankly, although they didn't give us enough ketchup and the service was too slow to ask for more. The bartender truly disappeared after dropping off our drinks to the extent that we had to look for him to pay our check. He was nice, just inattentive. With that said, initial impression? Yeah, would def be back. read more

Limited food menu but the chicken sandwiches are very good. I wish they would at least serve fries and chips/maybe nachos or some kind of other appetizer. The drinks are absolutely incredible! Very good vibe overall and very good service. We came on a Thursday night and the staff was very friendly. My friend suggested that maybe they have an area for dancing but I'm not sure if that's maybe something that they do on the weekend. They had lively music playing. Looks like a very bustling outdoor seating area as well. I have walked by many times and finally decided to give this place a try. Definitely will be back! read more

People always say to me "Eric, are you the E they're talking about?" And the answer is no, I'm not. But I do like e's Bar a whole lot. The service is impeccable and the drinks are fantastic and they have an awesome comedy show in the back there on Monday nights hosted by a couple of really funny dudes. It's at 8pm, I think. Really nice, casual bar in the upper West side that gets a lot of traffic. I came here on a Friday night and it was totally packed. They have a lot of indoor seating space but on the weekends it still might not even be enough however, they allow standing room so you don't necessarily have to wait for a table or anything, just find a spot! They have a few cute and simple frozen drinks but this is def a casual drinks spot and the board games they have emphasizes this. Noise level is way up there so I'd say it's better for a group of friends vs a date or calm night out. read more

What a down to earth spot in the area! It almost feels like a bar that should be in another neighborhood, but it stands out in a good way. Went with a friend last Thursday evening and we took advantage of the outdoor seating. I loved that the outdoor seating wasn't only in the street, but they had makeshift seating areas on the sidewalk as well. I came here because they're participating in the Tippler and the signature cocktail to redeem was the Espresso Martini. Very delicious! My friend and I also shared a large basket of spicy fries. Perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, hot on the inside. The staff was so amazing as well. Each person we met was really sweet and attentive. There was one young lady in particular whose name I regrettably forgot (I should've wrote this the same night). I believe her name started with an 'M' & it was her first day but she was doing so well! It didn't seem like it was her first day at all. This bar is so cute! My server Franklin was full of conversation and assistance immediately, he even offered to make me a lemonade that they didn't have on the menu which was so sweet! I would definitely return here with a group of friends, possibly for one of their trivia or karaoke night events. I love the interior, it's very open, cozy, and the perfect pinch of retro due to a literal juke box. I recommend ordering the Shishido peppers, they're a clean appetizer that accompanies a round of wings or the beef tacos perfectly (both were delicious)! I opted for a classic margarita, although they offer frozen margaritas and frozen rosé. They also have a bunch of cocktails to choose from which is great, the beer list is like an epic scroll so no worries on lack of drink options here. The basement was musty and dark and all the windows were shut. We politely asked if they could open a window or turn on the AC for a bit just to air it out. The response was a flat "No." That was it. When we asked why, he said if he did that someone else might complain, and then he just walked away. He kind of just waived us away, it was the weirdest interaction. That was the last time we overlooked the attitude. We normally like to hang out and spend $120-$150 here, but at that price we don't want to feel like we're an imposition.

The food was good and drinks were too. The space and workers were also very accommodating. Clean bathrooms and everything. My place of employment wanted to book somewhere to have our holiday gathering after work for December 2025. I visited U Bar in person in late October to inquire about such an event for approximately 70 people. The host informed me to get in touch with the owner due to such a large amount of people and just wanted to ensure that it could be accommodated as needed. I had no problem with that and she gave me the business card, I bought some grilled chicken pasta Alfredo and headed home. As soon as I got home I spoke to the owner Eddy both via text and call. We spoke about what accommodations I would need, he said no problem. I reiterated to him that it was something that would be very informal and he told me that since it was on Friday, he would honor the "college Friday" deal that they have for college students for myself and colleagues as well. As you can imagine I was all for it, he booked it for December 19th at 4pm. He told me that he could open earlier for us, but just for the downstairs section which was perfectly fine. No hassle. After the call, I got an automated text stating that my reservation for "15" people had been booked and confirmed. I called him back immediately and told him that the reservation was for 70 problem as discussed, not 15. He told me not to worry that it'll be fixed in the system eventually but that I didn't have to worry about the glitch. I said okay fine. Keep in mind, this was late October this all transpired. Fast forward to December 11th 2025, I got an automated text stating that my reservation had been updated to 70 people. Not sure why it took a month and a half to "update" the number of people but I didn't care as long as the agreement we had had been met the day of. Then the VERY NEXT DAY on 12/12, I got an automated text stating that my reservation for 12/19 had been canceled altogether. Feeling understandably confused and annoying, I called U Bar at least 6 times to speak to someone to clear up what the confusion about the reservation is because I'm only a week out from the date of the event at this point. NO ONE picked up the phone but they were definitely open at the time. Remembering that I had Eddy's number from speaking to him prior, I called him to no answer but then texted him to explain my grievance. He then proceeded to respond back and say that the restaurant, managers as well as HIMSELF had been calling me prior to because I had two reservations booked. Now, keep in mind, I didn't actually make the reservation on my end, HE, the OWNER, made the reservation based on our conversation. I explained how disappointed I was that the reservation would be cancelled without notice. He informed me that he would speak to the manager about the situation. He hasn't gotten back to me. I then spoke to my best friend who had the idea of calling the restaurant and sneaking a merged call where I could speak to them. He did in fact get in contact with someone at U Bar (I heard it myself) but then the line disconnected. He called back immediately and no one picked up. No one there ever called me about having two reservations. I tend not to even believe that I had two reservations because ... 1. I never booked any reservation there on MY end. 2. Why didn't I receive an automated message about the "other" reservation that was allegedly booked as I had gotten about the one for the event? 3. The owner alleged that I had a reservation booked for both 12/12 (the day my original reservation was cancelled) AND 12/19 the actual day of the event. But even if I did have two reservations, what difference would that make? Am I not allowed to reserve a spot on multiple days? What would one reservation have to do with the other? None of it makes any sense. They will never see a DIME from me and what's worse is that I was ACTUALLY looking forward to my colleagues and I really visiting this place and getting the same care that I initially felt back in August. Now, I pray for the day this place becomes a parking lot. Unbelievably unprofessional.
