We needed another outlet for the updated dishwasher. Got a quick response and the guys came over to work on the project within hours. They told us the best way to save money was to split the current outlet which we agreed to. We also had them move the light outlet wires in the bathroom to be centered with the sink. We had hired Dan and his team in May/June 2020. Brandon consulted us initially and explained the whole process: upgrade our panel, extend the wire to the barn (300ft+) and how SMUD and County involve etc. Dan's communication was outstanding. Each time Country and/or SMUD involved, he was on top. He even waited for the county inspector at our property, so that I didn't have to assist. Daniel and Ray were great workers and friendly. We originally were introduced to Elliott Electric two years ago through our contractor, when we had water damage to our home's kitchen, and it had to be gutted and redone entirely. Being an 80 year old home, we had some things that needed to be brought up to code, and Elliott Electric did an amazing job at getting everything re-wired and set up for the new appliances and lights in the kitchen. If I had a "dumb question", they explained things to me clearly. They never left a mess and were always calm and polite. They were probably our favorite sub-contractor of the whole "kitchen disaster" project. Recently, we started noticing some power flickers in the home. Once we had PG&E our to determine if it was on their end or ours, it was time to call an electrician. I knew immediately I needed to call Elliott Electric, because they were familiar with our home and I knew I could trust them. They were able to come out at a time that was convenient for me, texted me to let me know when they were heading my way, and did a thorough job inspecting, then repairing & replacing the problem elements. Every step of the way, the electrician explained to me what he found, how he was fixing it, and then checked everything to make sure it was working properly. However, the flickering returned later that same day. I called them (paranoid something was really wrong with the wiring) and they said they would come back. Fixed a time window and they arrived promptly. They checked out my concerns (loose outlet box, sparking light switch, flashing light fixture in our stairwell) and tried to get a questionable outlet to trip the breaker. Everything was fixed (or they did trouble-shooting and figured out the cause), they explained what they did, and I feel safe in my home again. My experience with this company was excellent. They made it out to our property in about an hour after calling. Came in clutch as the wiring I messed up was for the AC disconnect on the first triple digit temp of the year. Wiring was aluminum which my dad and I didn't feel comfortable repairing. Hired them to install some can lights in our front room. Every communication prior to the job was great! The day of the install also went great. They measured several times and asked my husband if it looked okay before they made the cuts in the ceiling. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave any mess behind. These gentleman are the best at what they do. I was very concerned about having anyone enter my home as a single woman. They were polite and courteous from the first point of contact. They were respectful on the phone and thoroughly explained what needed to be done to fix my electrical problems (in laymen's terms). Dan and his crew have been wonderful to me, working hard to make sure the electricity in my house was safe and functional. From the antiquated electrical panel to every plug and switch in the house, they made everything work -- and they did it in the midst of a rush of other big jobs they had going, and they did at less cost than originally estimated.
