we've had to use Ellis Appliance several times over the past 5 years. Three times were when our LG refrigerator's compressor failed. First time was during the pandemic, and they were the only ones who would come to look at our fridge. They were able to get us a part- even though it took a while due to the supply chain problems caused by the pandemic. Two years later the compressor failed again- not Ellis' fault. It's all on LG. The 3rd time, we called Ellis again and they came right out. But 3 strikes and LG was gone! Then a week ago our dryer - an almost 30 year old Maytag- started acting up. Ellis came right out, diagnosed the problem, got the parts and fixed the dryer. He came when he said he would, and kept us in the loop in terms of getting parts in. We would recommend Ellis repair service to everyone. read more

BUYER BEWARE. Shady business. Replaced part on dryer that failed in 2 months. Called every 3 weeks for the next 7 months to get replacement part. Said it was ordered originally but then started dodging calls and texts. Take money and run operation. Pursuing legal. read more

The customer service is terrible at best , I bought a new refrigerator spent 2700 dollars . 3 yrs later ice machine quit working, fixed it twice , last time never worked, waited 3 weeks for a call back . Called them again made a appointment for Monday between 8-10 no show no call. She called me at 10:14 and said service guy was sick, and she just got there, and wanted me to apologize for being unhappy. I I'm giving Ellis appliance a definite 0 rating. I purchased all of my appliances when we built our house. My washer immediately made a loud loud noise sounding like a plane was landing. I called Ellis and they sent a service man. He did somethings to my machine but it did not stop the noise. A service man came out again and cut the back of my machine out. Still made the noise. So Dave said he was going to bring the washer (that was still under warranty) back to his office. After numerous upon numerous calls about my machine and 3 yr and 4 months later I got my machine back. Now it smells so mildew I can smell it in a different room. During this time I requested a new machine since it was under warranty but dave said he was not going to loose money on this deal. He wants me to lose the money. I am giving 1 star, simply because 0 is not an option. The service here is TERRIBLE. Dave's wife answers the phone. And her go-to solution is to hang up on people. We have been 5 weeks without a working refrigerator, they keep telling us they will be back, they fixed the compressor, 2 days later it quit working again. When I call to complain & explain that we need a refrigerator Dave's wife simply says it's not her problem. This last time as she was relaying to the old man that I was complaining, he said that he's sick of it too (sick of what - me complaining because you can't do your job??) I said he should be sick of it - so why isn't he doing something about it?? End result she hung up on me. When I tried to call back - they wouldn't answer their phone. Very professional! I can expect more manors from a 3 year old that these people. Over all - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! read more

We have always bought from Ellis Appliance in our attempt to "shop local". We spoke with the owner (Dave) in the show room several weeks ago regarding an oven. He had to order one in, but assured us repeatedly it would be in and delivered before Thanksgiving (which is what we needed the oven for). Radio silence for over two weeks until I called the store. Turns out my oven was delivered to the shop 5 days earlier (I did not receive any notice of this), but now his delivery calendar was full until December 9! When questioned about his guarantee of Thanksgiving delivery, he simply stated that the item arrived later than anticipated and he was backed up. No "sorry", no "what can I do to make this right for you", no attempting whatsoever to fix the problem. What terrible customer service! And worst of all, because of the lack of communication on their part, I cannot get an oven from another store in enough time for the holiday. We will never buy from Ellis Appliance again. read more

Worst ; mean, could care less , and bad habit of hanging up on people, that's what Ellis Appliance thinks customer service is. I called Ellis on Monday morning to schedule service for my dryer. Was told the earliest would be Wednesday at between 3-5 pm. Come wednesday at 3 -nobody, come 4-nobody, I called Ellis and asked if they were still coming out. The man who answered said he had not heard differently. Waited til 5- nobody, 6 - nobody and no phone call saying that they were not gonna be here. Thursday morning at 8 am I called and got Mr. Ellis and asked if I was still scheduled since nobody showed or called. He said he didn't know but would find out and call me back. At 9:30 I still had not heard and called and explained that nobody has called me back and proceeded to deal with the most rudest , obnoxious , and anything but customer service knowledable person. She was saying she just got in and the phones have been ringing and did not have time to call anyone. Asked what was wrong with my dryer and started yelling and could schedule me for next week. When asked why I wasnt next on the current day schedule , she said other people had been scheduled and told me that I had cancelled my appt for Wednesday . When I mentioned it's just me living at home and did not cancel she said the conversation was over and hung up. Seems to be the easy way out of helping someone. Called back and Mr Ellis said he heard the whole conversation and I started yelling at her,finally got to get an appt for 2 days later. Will never shop at this place again, and with their customer service being so crappy, they should get out of the business now before they go bankrupt cause of stupidity. Zero rating. These are the rudest people in the business. Bought a washing machine from them in July that had a major error codes after 2 washes, owner said he would replace and to give him a week. Never called me back. They tried to refuse to service my dryer that I also purchased with them and we I reminded them that I bought from them they agreed to come out a week and half later. Part has been on order for over a week and no one cares. Rude, lazy and lack customer service all around. Don't buy anything from them. read more

We have not had good luck with the service at Ellis until we bought a dishwasher last week. We bought ever appliance there when our house was built. We like to buy local when we can and even though their customer service has been nonexistent, we decided to try them again. Well, they hired a new installer by the name of Jason and let me tell you, Jason will be THE reason that they stay in business. He's been there 4 months. He was a total pro. So friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. He was very thorough and respectful. Don't let him go Ellis owners!! He's a keeper. He's making you all look good! I was so impressed with Jason!
