While it was a little out of the way, I figured why not just go check it out. I got there about 10:40am and I was awkwardly the only shopper. The lady behind the counter, (presumably the owner?) said, 'Shopping for anything in particular' I said, 'nope just browsing', and that was the end of the conversation!! She didn't follow up with an 'Ok, well I'm blah-blah-blah, if you need help let me know,' or 'Our current sales are this...' or 'Have you been here before?' ... nothing. It was so awkward because I was the only person (besides her) in the store. There's no music or anything & you can literally hear each one of my steps as I mosey through the store, browsing. This was a bit shocking, considering the reviews raved about the cute clothes and superior service. The clothes, definitely cute. Very trendy, not outrageously overpriced, that of which you'd expect from a boutique. But the service, (if that's what you want to call it) was was nonexistent. In her defense, I was in a sweatshirt, running shorts and flip flops- hardly looked like I belonged in such a trendy store, but still no excuse for such poor service (and you shouldn't judge people on appearance, if that was the case). Not only that, She watched me as I walked through the store, and the second I was inches away from the door, she loudly yells, 'THANKS!' I guess that was kind. She was quick to understand both my predicament and help me create an arrangement that was FAR superior to my original one (for a heck of a lot less than I paid another florist). Valentine's Day can often mean a dozen roses and a box of chocolates. At 5:45 PM though, Sarah took the time to ask me about the type of arrangement I would ideally want and crafted this amazing piece. Not only did I find her product, I was a bit overwhelmed with the size of the space and the amount of makers, artists and crafters selling their wares and some vendors with unique mass produced items. With over 300 booths selling everything from small batch food items, crazy socks, chainsaw art and of course lots of KC Chiefs and Taylor Swift inspired art and clothing. This is truly a gift givers paradise. I will return here first when I need a unique gift for anyone.

They are a bit pricey, but locally made. Also, The Foot Spot has Brooks and other fantastic walking and running shoes. They can make orthotics too. But my favorite thing is the HUGE selection of Oofos!! I wear them a lot. I have slides, house shoes and sneakers by Oofos. I had to play the send it back and forth game with Zappos because the sizing is a little different. For my subsequent pairs, I will just visit The Foot Spot. Yay!
