Mike came to check out the job and provided an estimate within 24 hours. He fully understood the job and the written quote was very clear. On the first day, he sent 3 electricians. The job includes re-wiring and moving switches, some recess lights in the kitchen, and new wiring and installation of a ceiling fan in the living room. The job came out trickier than expected, such as finding cable lines through a complicated multiunit townhouse, and not being able to snake wires in the ceilings because somehow there is no strapping between the ceiling and the joists. We decided to allow all these wholes to be made throughout the walls and ceilings to install the ceiling fan light, so they had to do some extra work, and we had to pay more for all that wall/ceiling repair later with our wall guys (Atmosphere Painting and Plastering, reviewed separately). They also found some stuff behind the walls that previous owner did that wasn't up to code and they fix that. At the end of my kitchen project, two of his guys came back to finish up all the outlets and whatever they needed to do. They were clean and quick. Similar to Matt's team at Kitchen Tune Up Peabody (separate review), these guys are very nice and communicable. They did a clean nice job. It was so good, I called to schedule and appointment for my mom's house for the next day to fix some issues. Price wise, I thought it's just within normal range of pricing, it's not the cheapest. But I do value a great experience with good communication, professional workers, and quality work. If you value these things, too, I do think the price is reasonable. A side note, the company uses digital quotes and transaction. I thought that was a nice tough in this digital age. It just makes things clear and the process and transaction a breeze. Overall, I highly recommend this company.

Cardosok2@icloud.com I used Dry Cleaners by Val for clothing cleaning after a house fire. I allowed garments to be picked up as part of the post-loss process. At pickup, I was told the clothing and pickup area did not have a smoke odor and not contaminated ( Michael Parreira). Despite that, the garments were processed. To remind Dry Cleaners by VAl its your so responsibility to take contaminated clothing that stated on your contract. They took my uncontaminated clothing for a check. During the process, I raised concerns about the condition of my clothing and asked for services to be stopped. However, additional items were still cleaned afterward. (Richard Swanson and Val Deperrio had a conversation about my dry clean and the gaslighting in that conversation was unprofessional). When the garments were returned, several items had changes that were not present before cleaning, including shrinkage, stiffness, discoloration, and blue streaking. Some items also had a strong soap or detergent odor. I was told certain garments were "unrecoverable," but I consulted with two independent textile and fire restoration professionals, both of whom noted observations consistent with improper or non-specialized processing. One also indicated that the reported turnaround time appeared inconsistent with standard industry practices. I also experienced inconsistent delivery practices after raising concerns. Deliveries were initially made to my address, later refused after I raised complaints (citing contamination concerns), and then deliveries resumed to that same address for my siblings garments. Thay took retaliatory practices against me. I did pay for the services but remain dissatisfied with the workmanship, communication, and how my concerns were handled and I'm following up with the AG offices (Attorney General) against them. Also try to Bill of $30,248 for the work they haven't done and they called it a mistake. I end paying $16,000 after they try to pull a fast one on me. After my experience, I personally would not trust this company with my garments again.

When I received Val's outrageous invoice for $1,349.09, I asked if I could cancel and just pick them up myself since I was paying out of pocket. I was told that it was too late, the work was done. I later received a phone call from the owner, Val, himself, who, in between expletives, screamed at me, said I was the reason they don't accept self-pay customers, called me a liar, said they actually hadn't cleaned my rugs, and he would have them delivered to me. My heart is racing recalling Val's rage-filled rant. He has sued numerous customers over non-payment. STAY FAR AWAY. I had the larger of these same rugs cleaned, including pick up and delivery, for $205.00 in December of 2024 by Boston Rug Cleaning.
