We called Streeter Plumbing and Heating and they asked a few questions and called us back and by the grace of God, two, instead of one 40 gallon power vented units were delivered to them. They were about to return the additional unit when we called. Once we said we would take the 40 gallon tank, they said they could be over within two hours. True to their word, Streeter's team, Rich and his partner, Laco (?) , arrived within the quoted timeframe and got right to work. They finished the job within 2 hours and we were back in business! Over a holiday weekend and 2 days before Christmas! We cannot thank Streeter Plumbing and Heating company enough! They turned a tragedy into a minor blip and slight inconvenience! They came and "did their service" which clearly states many things they're doing but explicitly - check capacitor - check drain pump They come and leave and say all is good in the same day. About a week goes by we get this absolutely foul inhumane smell in the house. After hours of searching we find our drain pump to be not working and overflowing causing the smell some how. Next to our existing drain pump is a brand new in the box drain pump and a brand new electric meter. We call this company to ask why this was left here and why we weren't informed there was an issue. We're harshly told that there was no issue and that they didn't leave that pump there and that's not their meter and that since we have a backup pump to swap the pump ourselves as it's our problem The brand new pump wasn't ours it was left there by the tech they sent out to do the "work". We're now left with some ruined carpet and water damage mitigation rental equipment on our dime due to their mess up. Now let's fast forward another week where our AC stops working. We of course call another company to come since this company is incompetent and of course the issue is the run capacitor that they got paid to inspect completely full to the top with a mouse family. Along with the capacitor issue they said they're checking the wiring and half the wiring in the capacitor cubicle is deteriorated and the insulation is at the end of its life. They were very respectful when we needed to take time to make decisions, and gave us a breakdown of what options were available to us. I think this says it all; when the oil tank removal company spilled a little bit of oil on our lawn, Joe pulled me aside and said this: " I wanna show you something. I'm not happy about. Oil spilled on your lawn and I'm really upset about it." When I reassured him that it was fine he responded, " it might be fine for you, but it's not fine for me. "While I'm here, this isn't your house, it's my house, and I take responsibility for everything that happens on the job. And this is unacceptable." No, like I mean it. You know when you need something fixed, repaired etc. and you ask your friend for a recommendation and they say "I gotta guy"? Welp, now you're going to be giving everyone you know John's number because this is going to be "Your Guy". I initially found John on Yelp, go figure. I called him up because we were experiencing issues with our Navien CH-240 Combi-Boiler. So, being that I already called a sh*tload of other plumber's which either did not return my calls or bother to show up for our confirmed appointments, I was an emotional wreck. John picks up and listens to my desperate plea for help. So after listening to me John says "No problem buddy. I'll come by and look at it" and gives me a date. Now, John did have to reschedule which he promptly notified me of. Which was o.k. because this showed he cared enough to ensure that I wasn't just waiting in the wind. This is where he also get's 5 Stars for excellent communication. Alright moving on. John shows up On-Time for our rescheduled appointment and goes straight to inspecting the boiler. John discover's the problem (Cracked Heat Exchanger). John took care of everything from the Warranty with Navien to ensuring everything was good on my end in the house. After getting the warranty approval John scheduled the new boiler install the following week which by the way he showed up On-Time and as scheduled. During the install, I was downstairs bugging John about every plumbing related question imaginable. John answered everything politely and also gave me pointers on Navien boilers. Ok. here is where John takes the cake of being the best priced plumber hands down. After installing the boiler, John informed me of how to receive a Rebate from National Grid due to installing this boiler! Seriously, go look it up! I never knew! What a great guy. Trust me. You won't find a better plumber than John. If he has to reschedule, don't get upset. This guy is getting so much work and it's just him. He told me that due to a shortage of plumbers from young people not wanting to get into the trades, plumbers are in high demand. However, John doesn't price gouge like the rest of these companies. Don't look any further. Give John a call.
