She had extremely high blood pressure for which she ended up landing up in the ER.. and asked if she could be given something to control the BP after her discharge.. she was told the medication she was already taking would suffice to help the BP... when really that medication (i later confirmed with her cardiologists office) was only to help with the heart rate irregularities she was experiencing. Her cardiologists office confirmed that the nurse in the ER was wrong. 65 different nurses will come visit you in a matter of 24 hours but none of them know what is going on. It's almost like there is 0 to minimal documentation that is done with fidelity and integrity. When you ask them for something they look at you as if you have 0 right to ask them for anything. It's absolutely disgusting.

My fiancé was in Ellis Hospital since early Monday morning for chest and stomach pain. The next day he got told that he had an infection and they were giving him antibiotics which was fine. Within a few hours later i spotted 2 big black and blue bruises on his leg and hip that was no where near the stent removal.(HE DID NOT HAVE BRUISES WHEN HE WENT IN) They kept giving him medication that was not working and they said that they don't know what one was doing the job so they kept giving him more which was making him drowsy and sleeping all day. They also negotiated him and letting him sit in his own bodily fluids not only that they refused to feed him for 24 hours and left him starving all day and they did nothing about it they also did not let him use the bathroom when needed they kept him in bed and not allowing him to walk around and stretch. When he asked for something it took the nurses and doctors hours to respond to him. The doctors and nurses do not care about anyone in the hospital they rather chitchat to each other about themselves.

The NP then proceeded to order numerous tests and procedures and then referred her to an oncologist without reviewing the results. The oncologist told my daughter that the tests were unneccesary and that she does not have cancer. My daughter then received 8 different bills totally thousands of dollars. Ellis has not returned phone calls. I would stay far, far away from Ellis Medicine.

To Dr. Elaine Cheon-Lee, patients are just a source of money. She doesn't care about your health…read moreconcerns. Don't ask questions during your annual checkup. If you do she will charge extra. That's what happened to me. After Dr. Cheon-Lee did a quick routine examination, I asked her a question: Is there anything I should know or be aware of about entering menopause? I made it clear I am not interested in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) because of its side effects. I wanted to know if I should consider a bone density test or perhaps taking supplements. The doctor recommended a couple of OTC supplements and then brought up HRT. She started badgering me about trying a cream that she assured me has minimal side effects. I finally gave up and said OK just to get out of there. To my surprise I received a $130 bill for an "office visit". This was in addition to the $188 my insurance company paid for my annual women's health exam. When I reached out to Dr. Cheon-Lee I was told the hormone replacement therapy was not part of annual visit; therefore I was charged for an additional visit. She agreed the bill was unexpected and acknowledged I wasn't informed in advance there would be a charge. This came after I repeatedly told her I wasn't interested in HRT given its side effects for women with a medical history like mine. So CareNet patients, be wary about asking your doctor questions without also asking what it will cost for an answer. If you receive an unexpected charge, don't waste your time reaching out to your doctor or trying to discuss the issue with the management team. No one cares about patient satisfaction. Your concerns will be ignored. I filed a complaint with my insurance company, which said it will keep Dr. Cheon-Lee on its radar. I will pay this bogus bill, so it doesn't affect my credit report. But CareNet has gone downhill as shown by the number of 1-star reviews it now receives. My advice: Skip this place and go somewhere with honest doctors who listen to and care about their patients.

With that in mind, I'll say I 'enjoyed' my visit to Ellis Emergent Care. I left feeling WAY better than I did when I got there - which is the point, right? The waiting room was calm, quiet, and not crowded. The staff was professional. I won't say 'overly friendly', but it's the ER people!!! They could have been on the tail end of three 12-hour shifts. They were, however, gentle, caring, respectful, and efficient. I was in for extreme dehydration during pregnancy and had to get an IV. The nurses and PA very much seemed to have the attitude of "Lets get you feeling better and get you home." They're obviously busy, but don't seem frantic. The receptionists remembered my name and had all the paperwork ready to go when we went to check out. I feel like all of these reasons in aggragate make it a 5-Star ER. You're not at the spa, but you're also not getting ebola or watching someone die on a stretcher. I'd call that a win. Since it is a smaller facility, they have a limited number of beds/rooms compared to other major hospitals. With that in mind, if there are more than 10 people in the waiting room, it could mean they are filled to capacity. We waited about an hour before I was admitted to a room on a Wednesday afternoon. I felt given the number of people I saw leave and get admitted before me, this was very reasonable. Pro Tip - this facility does NOT accept ambulances, and as a result, the hectic, chaotic atmospher that you experience in other places is noticable absent here. I usually go to WellNow clinics for urgent care. Before this experience they have always been kind, caring, and quick in getting me the medical care I need. This time, not so much. I went to WellNow with a terrible poison ivy rash that was on my face, eye lids, hands, etc. At the time my daughter was 4 months old and strictly breastfed and I was struggling with postpartum depression. Feeding her, getting her in and out of her car seat, just existing was physically painful. And she refused to take a bottle during this stressful time. Upon hearing that I was struggling with my mental health the doctor threw up his hands and attributed my symptoms to my mental health and I had to beg for treatment which he did eventually grudgingly give me -- but even that wasn't sufficient to treat the issue and I had to take the prednisone prescription he gave me in conjunction with the other prednisone I had been prescribed when I had previously sought care and devise my own tapering regimen which did finally do the trick. He tried to tell me he couldn't give me more than a certain amount of prednisone but another urgent care doctor back in November when I had the same exact poison ivy response gave me the dosage and the tapering schedule I was asking for. Then, I received a bill months later with a 20% discount. I went to try to pay it today and they are trying to charge me the full amount. I spent 40 minutes on hold and then the representative was unable or uninterested in doing anything to remedy the issue. I am now waiting for a call back from a supervisor. I am deeply upset with the way I have been treated and truly feel that this treatment is due to being a breast feeding mom that struggled with mental health. Stay far, far away from WellNow if you are also a breastfeeding mom. To add insult to injury, I left this same review on Google. The "owner" asked that I email them to resolve the situation. I did, recapped my disappointment and frustration and they sent me a form email asking for my DOB and address demonstrating that if a human being did read my email they have the empathy of a rock. I responded with the requested information to the billing email address and received an automatic reply that the address is not routinely monitored. Main take away: WellNow doesn't give a flying rat's behind about their patients' experiences in any way, shape, or form.
