After the filing, I got a letter from the IRS informing me that they had issued my business a new EIN because of the change in our filing. In July 2024, I contacted Mr. IBraheem because I needed two financial statements as part of a loan approval. I also told him of the difficulty the new EIN was causing with the loan process. He told me that the new number should not have been issued and offered to help me get it resolved. I paid for the financial statements and made the decision to sign up for the accounting services for $300/month. In August 2024, I asked for Mr. IBraheem's assistance with the EIN issue. I was asked to send the IRS letter again. I sent it again. I was told the fee would be $250 for this service which I paid. In September 2024, I asked if there was any update and was told to check back next week because they were busy. I called and was told someone would get back to me. In October 2024, I asked if there was any update and was told that they are "tied up" and someone would get back to me. I called again and was told someone would get back to me. A few months passed, and on Saturday March 15, 2024 we met in person with Mr. IBraheem for our tax filing. I was surprised when he had no idea what I was talking about when I again asked about an update on the EIN issue. Once again Mr. IBraheem told me he would check into it and get back to me. During the course of our tax meeting, I mentioned that I had been sending my statements each month, but had not seen any reports. Mr. IBraheem then told me that monthly reports are not included with the $300/month accounting service. Only a yearly report is included. I asked Mr. IBraheem if he would please send me a list of what accounting services are included in the monthly fee. On Friday March 21, 2025 I again asked for an EIN update. I also asked for the 2024 yearly reports that Mr. IBraheem said were part of his $300/month fee. I was told I would receive them by April 25th...FOUR MONTHS into the new year. I also asked what accounting services are included in his $300/month fee. Again, I did not get an answer. On Monday March 24, 2025 after not receiving an answer to my accounting fee query, I requested that Mr. IBraheem please cancel the accounting services. I told him it was because I did not see the value of paying what equals $3600/yr for one yearly report. A report that I don't receive until April of the new year. On Monday March 26, 2025, Mr. IBraheem's office called. I was expecting an update on the EIN issue and possibly a more clear understanding of what accounting services his fees cover. Instead, it was someone from his office calling to request payment for the tax filing invoice. I told them that I am happy to pay the tax filing invoice if someone could please give me an update on the EIN issue and send me a listing of accounting services included in the $300/month fee. I was told that Mr. IBraheem would get back to me. On Saturday March 29, 2025 Mr. IBraheem emailed me to say that the reason nothing has been done with my EIN request is because his office never received payment. I asked Mr. IBraheem to please check his records because I did pay. After not hearing anything back, I had to stop my normal workload to get on my computer to sift through my records and send him proof that payment had been made. After being shown the error, not once did Mr. IBraheem, nor anyone in his office apologize. No one offered me an explanation for the delay either. To resolve the EIN issue, Mr. IBraheem said I would need to sign a POA. I told him that before I authorized him to act on my behalf with the IRS, to please tell me what specific steps he would be taking, so that I could get a general idea of what the process looks like. And again, I asked what services would be included with the fees for accounting and the EIN fix. Mr. IBraheem did not answer my question about the EIN fix, and rudely told me that the $300/month fee covers accounting services which he typed in bold letters. Clearly frustrated with me for asking the questions. When I pressed him on this further, he said that he has been in business 24 years and he will not change how he communicates with clients. He then refused to file my 2024 tax return and also refused to help sort out the EIN mess with the IRS that his advice helped create. So now as a result, I have to scramble around to find another CPA to file my taxes and unravel the mess Mr. IBraheem helped create. In one year, I spent over $5k for poor communication and a yearly report. Unfortunately, Mr. IBraheem seems to prioritize collecting his fees above delivering customer service. And because of it, I'm left with an expensive mess to clean up.

My previous accountant being someone I trusted, I figured I was in good hands. I wasn't. Taxes are like my kryptonite and I didn't do the legwork and compare new accountants to him and he proceeded to charge me his "flat rate" or however he refers to it as for my S-Corp and I am a VERY small business and I paid his $425 rate and didn't think twice. The last year I used his "services", I noticed that after I turned my information over to his company, I was surprised how fast it was turned back over to me. And just as fast came his $425 fee. I finally caught on and used another accountant last year- and he had to learn about my business and do some legwork and charged me $150 for the EXACT SAME SERVICE. This new accountant is every bit as capable as SW&A. So basically SW&A will make sure you don't spend too much on taxes but will let you overspend plenty on him. By the way- I am SURE if my company's taxes were overly complicated and he actually had to put in the extra work, that he would have honored his "flat rate". I cannot state this firmly enough (my opinion here)- if you are in his clutches or are about to be, make 100% sure that you know exactly what you are paying for and compare it to other firms for the same service- Steve ain't better than almost any of them and you won't wind up spending an extra $1000 or so like I did. On a final note, Steve and I were going back and forth and he threatened to turn me over to an attorney- one of his favorite words- if I didn't pay by the 30th (tomorrow). The link he gave me wasn't working so I asked him to send me another one. He said basically F-you, send it fedex or I will see you in court. It has been quite a while since I have dealt with a sleazy creature such as this.

In just the last few months, their online timecard system (that they charge extra for) kept applying hours to the wrong people, and we had to fix it every week, until we cancelled it. One pay period, they paid everyone TWICE... and then tried to blame us for it, which isn't even possible, because their system locks you in after hitting submit. I had to literally argue with people for over an hour, to get them to return the money. Then, a couple weeks ago, the checks didn't arrive, and when I called they said the currier would be back on Monday (checks were due that day), so we had to drive over and get new checks for everyone... and I am glad we did, as the currier didn't come back for another WEEK! Now, this week, we submitted the payroll a day early (yesterday), and today they said we never submitted it, which they charge a penalty for submitting late. Now, while all of these things are terrible, the people make it worse. Every time there was an issue, the people on the phone argued with us about it, blamed us for not knowing how to do it (despite that we had done it every two weeks for years). And even after today's disaster, it went all the way up to some director, who started off very nice.... and then suddenly became just as combative as the others. An hour later, I got a call from another guy, who basically told me that it wasn't their fault, and I told him we were switching our multiple locations to SurePay. SurePay has been handling our California locations without issues, and now they will be handling the ones here. AVOID! UPDATE! The next morning, after we cancelled business with them over the issues, my business suddenly had a 1 star review, from a non-customer, who just happened to post a 5-star review of Corporate Payroll Services, at the exact same time.
