I purchased a bix of chocolates to cheer up my daughter, upon taking off the cellophane and opening the box, there were 7 pieces of candy that had been smashed, the way a couple pieces were "bent", as well as the visible fingerprints in two of them, could only have happened at the manufacturing facility. Bought this chocolate box of candy for my granddaughter for Valentines day. Very disappointed in Elmer Candy Corporation. The candies are bad and has holes in them. My Granddaughter took off the plastic and opened the box and found the candy like the pictures. A heart shaped box of Elmer chocolates on Valentine's Day. Who knew Elmer had chocolates? I did not until my son came home with one from a classmate today. Since he isn't big on chocolate I stole that heart shaped box from him and ate them. Every last one. They were gooood, too. Nothing beats Gold Brick Eggs for Easter. Except maybe Pecan Eggs. Got a gift of chocolate as a present. Opened sealed container and two pieces missing. Sent an image right there on spot-week goes by. Then, I go to FB and send a more strongly worded message and finally someone emails me and ask, "what pieces were masking? Send us a photo." I called number immediately. I said, "you are asking me a question as if you did not look at the images." Carol Nicosia remarked, "well, everything is robotic here, so no hands touch anything." I asked, "do you think I'm fabricating this?" She said, "I didn't say that, but there is nothing we will do to help you since you don't have a photo of the back of the box" I expressed my disbelief in such a policy and I told her that I would be very vocal about customer dissatisfaction. Full disclosure: up until about 3 years ago I had NO IDEA that Elmer's was local. I thought that every kid got a basket full of Gold Brick and Heavenly Hash eggs from the Easter Bunny. I guess we're just special and the bunny likes us best. Or maybe I'm just a dope. Who doesn't love a Heavenly Hash egg? Put that baby in the refrigerator... are you kidding me? Do it next time you have one, unless you don't like having your mind blown. It's Gotten To Be an Obsession A few years ago I stumbled on Elmer Chocolates in my local Dollar General around Valentine's Day. I wish I could stock up now for the rest of the year. I like the other brand names of chocolate candy, but I have to say I like Elmer better due to the unique flavor and smoothness of the candies. I am reviewing the heart-shaped 6.8 oz box (this one had an edgy graphic cover of duct-tape splattered with paint? ha ha) and it was the usual flagship assortment of orange and strawberry creams, chocolate and regular caramels, and heart-shaped truffles. You have to keep them out of sight or they disappear like vapors. Tip--don't let on to anyone about the orange and strawberry creams. Distract them with the caramels. read more

Dear Elmers Candy Company, I'm wondering if you still make the mint bublets. They were so light and wonderful back when I was young. Of course I'm alot older now but sure wish I could find some. It has been so long since I had Elmer's chocolates. When I was a kid, (I'm 74 now) Gold Bricks were my favorite. It has been years since I've seen them. My husband picked up a small heart on Valentine's Day ad I was so pleased, I looked at the bottom of the box and realized it was an old favorite. I really loved them. Why was that? I frequented all grocery stores in the Houston area that I normally patronize, and none of them sold your Heavenly Hash candy this past Easter, as usual. I certainly did not find my favorite candy this past Easter. Also, a few years ago, I discovered for the first time, that Elmer Candy Corp, your company, made Heavenly Hash candy in "DARK CHOCOLATE," which is even better, since I love dark chocolate best. Therefore, it has been over one year, since I have had your Heavenly Hash dark chocolate candy. The combination of chocolate, marsh mellows and almonds, are heavenly to savor. Although, what I believe would make your candy even better, is to add more almonds to it. Just image how delicious it your be, to savor an almond in every bite. Seriously, nuts, dark chocolate, and marsh mellows, in every bite is extremely heavenly.
