I went to the Safeway earlier and purchased a bag of oranges for $5.99, Save-A-Lot has the same bag for $2.99. Some people think that this place only has things that are basically imitation and don't taste good. Save-A-Lot actually have a lot of different foods, chips, candy, drinks etc that are named brand. You can basically find some of the same things that you will find in a typically grocery store such as Safeway, Giant, or shoppers. You just get it at a cheaper price here. The only downfall is that you have to pay for bags and bag your groceries yourself. But bagging the groceries not to bad, it's basically like going to a self check out aisle and the grocery bags are .10 cent each. I would recommend not going at the beginning of the month. It tends to be super busy there around that time. I go to the beauty supply store that in the same shopping center and I have seen the crowds. But overall I definitely recommend coming here, you can really save some bucks!

Go to Aldi first and get most of what you need and then visit this store. Many of the items are not that great for you. There was a lot of poor quality food items (i.e. jugs of punch, cheap cookies, giant packages of bologna, Little Debbie & similar desserts). The produce looked decent but most of it is cheaper at Aldi. The aisles were crowded. There were so many floor displays that you had to navigate your cart through each row, instead of just pushing it forward. If you need milk & eggs, this place is great to dash inside. If you need to plan your meals for the week, go to Aldi or Shoppers Food Warehouse (nearby).

Captain White Seafood Review - 10/10…read more If fresh seafood is what you're looking for, Captain White is one of my favorite places to shop. I've been there several times, and the quality has always been consistent. It's always busy, which tells me people know they're getting fresh seafood. Even when the parking lot is packed, there's plenty of free parking, so I've never had trouble finding a space. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a seafood market. You'll smell fresh fish when you walk in, but it's not an unpleasant odor--it's simply the smell of fresh seafood. One of the things I appreciate most is the staff. They've always been friendly, patient, and helpful whenever I've needed assistance or had questions. Over the years, I've purchased crabs , oysters , black bass, whiting, trout, spot, crawfish , and shrimp . Every purchase has been fresh and delicious. Their tartar sauce is also worth picking up if you're planning a seafood dinner. Now, I'm not a crab expert, so I can't compare them to every seafood market around. I can only speak from my own experience, and the crabs I've purchased have always been good. If you're going for crabs, get there early. They sell quickly, especially during the summer months. Another reason I keep coming back is the daily specials. They often have great seasonal deals, making it a perfect time to stock up on fresh seafood. Final Rating: 10/10 Fresh seafood, helpful staff, free parking, and consistently great quality make Captain White a place I'll continue to recommend.

That, combined with the fact that candy stores seem to be having a moment, put me in a position to check this place out. So before we headed out to the train station, we made a quick stop here. IT'SUGAR is a chain/franchise, with multiple locations across the country. In my perspective, this store is large with a good selection. They have packaged brands that we all know, plus the option to buy in bulk or in takeaway packages. I saw most of the usual suspects, as well as brands I didn't recognize as well as a large selection of Swedish candy which is currently trending. You can by bulk candy either by weight or volume; I decided to go the latter and choose one of their containers that can be filled as much as possible as long as the lid closed. I mostly stuck to the fruity and chewy candies which were quite good. It wasn't busy at all when we were there, so checkout was super fast. Overall, I was impressed with IT'SUGAR - really good variety and a place I would seek out for some sweets.

This one was smaller, but still packed with fun. The kids absolutely loved it--they went crazy over all the candy options! Now let's talk about the price...because baby, candy added up QUICK. For three kids and my little bit of Swedish fish, I spent $62, which is a bit much for candy in my opinion. But hey, it was spring break, and they had a great time, so I let it slide. The associate working there was very patient with the kids,--it was a lot going on with all that excitement and sugar overload! I didn't grab any pictures, but overall it was a fun stop and a great treat for the kids. Rating: 4/5
