Their cheese has different proteins than most store bought cheese so it's actually easier to digest. I could go on about the taste but just having a local cheese maker who makes original quality cheeses is awesome. Chapel Hill Creamery captures all of the sunshine and bliss and southern charm of Chapel Hill in their cheeses. I love going to different farmers markets and finding CHC cheese.

While it tasted good and filled me up, it wasn't the best I ever had. But it's worth a visit. You should check it out.

We opened our wine and began to create our work of art. The first items on our board were small containers of olive tamponade dip and fig jam. Then, we cut triangular shapes of manchengo cheese and added slices of Brie cheese, one of my personal favorites. We added square slices of extra sharp cheddar cheese and crumbles of Gorgonzola cheese. Next, we fanned our prosciutto ham and made cute little fans of our salami. " Give life to the board, use different colors and shapes", said Luiza. We cut small bundles of grapes and added them to our plate. Then, we added blueberries, blackberries, and thinly sliced apple. Our work of art was coming to life. Olives were positioned next to the cheese. Then, we added artisan crackers. One had rosemary and the other cracker was a garlic cracker. Don't forget to add the pistachio nuts and garnish with fresh herbs. We used rosemary last night. It looked amazing and delicious. Luiza recommended shopping for ingredients at Wegman's, Trader Joe's, or Whole Foods shopping stores. She creates boards that are vegan or she will cater to specialty boards. The dinner is the epitome of "Slow food" and eating local. Meet the goats. Hold the goats. Bottle feed the goats. Milk the goats! Learn the history of this local treasure that has grown to help support six other neighboring farms. And then dine. We started with a selection of six different cheeses made on the farm. Several of which have won awards and in my opinion, all of them were winners. This was followed by two different salads made from local greens and delicious vinaigrette dressings. The second salad was very unique combining carmelized red onions with goat cheese, walnuts, and a salsa verde: incredible! The entree was pulled pork with Asian seasonings along with vegetables and lime rice. Any description I attempt will be inadequate. You had to be there. It was absolutely delicious. Dessert was a rich chocolate Pot de Creme (fancy pudding). I'm insulting this decadent desert by calling it pudding. It's a good thing this is a casual dinner because we were all licking our bowls. Oh, did I mention the chocolate goat cheese truffles? Reservations are required and they stay booked up pretty far in advance. The dining capacity has increased so reservations are not as difficult as in the past. You will receive a complimentary glass of wine and are welcomed to BYOB. They do tours of the farm, host dinners, and supply some of the best locally made cheese to one Charlotte cheese counter that I know of (are there more?) and that's South Park's Earth Fare. It's not far from the 40 exit. This is a great store and is laid out like the store in Morrisville where I usually go . They no longer have the burger/ sandwich grill but do still have the area where you can sit and eat. There are many other ways to get something to eat there and it was clean when I was there. I was pleased to find many items that I can't find in other stores. The prices are as good or better than the discount stores on many items! I have tried several of the wegman paper products and have been happy with them all. Again, cheaper than the discount grocery stores. A nice shopping experience!

Additionally, they have a well stocked, large selection of Hispanic groceries and some vegetables. Beside them and connected with a doorway in a shared wall is a Mexican restaurant.
