My first visit to this establishment. I had an in, as…read moresomeone shared a stylist contact with me. I was able to text the stylist, figure out what I wanted and scheduled a time. The establishment is clean and bright location. Parking is easy and it's right off a main street in the shopping center. My appointment started right on time. Kelsey was great. She and I talked for awhile of what I wanted and needed. I had sent her an idea ahead of time, but we tweaked it for me. She was very understanding and made everything really enjoyable. At my appointment I was treated with a beverage. The drink is relaxing as my hair is being worked. The end result was fantastic. I still love the color and the look of my hair. I will go back to work with Kelsey again.

I would normally drive up to Des Moines, cross my fingers i'd find someone who knows what they're doing, and then repeat again a few months down the road. Now, all I have to do is drive down the road, and all my worries vanish. For starters, the vibe is very relaxing. when I sit in their waiting area, I always feel like i'm at a girlfriends house for coffee. There's always someone at the front desk to greet you with a warm smile, and check you in for your appointment. Next- product. Long ago, I did marketing for a day spa back in New York, and I get a little judgmental on what products salons choose to carry. My jaw dropped to the floor with excitement when I saw that they carry Davines. It is 110% THE best haircare line you can find, and suitable for all hair textures-my daughter has straight long hair, and mine is VERY curly, and we're able to use the same shampoo & conditioner. I think product is extremely important for troubleshooting everyones unique hair needs. My daughter had severe dandruff/ cradle cap since she was a baby. I booked her an appointment recently with Morgan for a natural tech treatment, and I could not believe the difference! Oh, if I didn't mention, my daughter is 4.. beautiful salon that's kid friendly, and has product that is gentle enough for a tiny scalp, but powerful enough to shred through all that dead skin.. what a win! My son also gets his hair cut here (7y/o) usually with Maddie. She somehow is able to keep him sitting still in the chair, and always provides him with a clean fade, and a managable cut. I myself jump between Maddie & Morgan depending on my needs at the time. When I don't feel like dealing with my hair, I usually book with Maddie for a nice braid. I would also like to mention that their talent with coloring hair is pretty comparable with a big city - they execute their consultations so you feel confident in their work throughout the entire process. Kole especially does some incredible work!

The location is conveniently off of I80 near Living History Farms and Machine Shed. Parking lot is easy to get to. May not be easy during traffic hours. The entry in can be blocked if driving during traffic hour. Inside: I love the look and size of the studio. The privacy was a huge selling point for me. I was able to have an intimate time with my stylist with no other gossip or banter from other people. The washing station is a communal area. Which I was able to meet other women and stylists for a short time. The processing area is around the corner of the washing station and if other stylists don't have their doors closed you can easily eavesdrop in their conversations. My stylist did a great job! I'm in the process of getting my black hair lightened so I will be seeing her more than once. I look forward to visiting again. Highly recommend this type of salon if you like privacy and intimate conversation.
