Ruined every other fish sandwich for me. We tried their fries both times we went, and honestly not a fan. They're beef tallow fries so they're supposedly "better" but they were pretty hard and oily, and have the meat taste from the beef tallow that I don't like, I would skip these. My friends and I arrived about 20 minutes before the truck opened, and there were already a few people standing in line. The line moved pretty quickly, and the total time from ordering and receiving our food was only about 15 minutes. At this time, the line wrapped around the truck. The food came out hot and fresh. Filet-o-fish is one of my favorites of all time, and the filet de fish did not disappoint at all! The first bite had us levitating and seeing stars. The tartare sauce that the fried fish was smothered in was delicious and creamy, and the fish fillet itself was tender and flaky. The toasted and soft Japanese bun was the cherry on top. Simple and comforting and nostalgic, but elevated in the best way. We also tried their popular Viva Mexico, but we felt like it lacked in flavor and only tasted spicy, if that makes sense. Beef tallow fries were okay and not anything special. Great portions, however, it was still pretty expensive for a food truck burger. I'm glad I got to try this place out and will be back if the filet de fish hits the menu again, and would try their Signature next time.

They were all excellent (if you're from the East Coast, you might be disappointed by the lobster roll because it's a local interpretation of what a lobster roll would be like ) and they are among our favorite things to pick up when we want to grab food and take it back home.. The prices are very affordable! In a time when you can't touch a meal for less than somewhere between 15 and $20 this place you can feed your whole family for that even their drinks are inexpensive. They actually have a lot of locations sprinkled throughout the greater phoenix area. my experience is that some locations are a little better than others in terms of customer service and efficiency but generally speaking I like the price and I like the food no matter which location I go to but invariably some are better than others.

Most would say yeah kinda in a good truck but Lalos has a grill as well where they have kinda set up a semi permanent space, and they grill fresh meat all night long! From start to finish this place is so good from the fresh salad that add heat if you want it or the birria meat that's got tons of flavor but no heat if that's not your thing either. They truly let the Carne/Asada/Pastor meat be the thing to shine. Where others over season to hide bad quality this place knows and you will too.

As for the potato salad, it was fairly decent though it had large pieces of potato skins which I personally do not care for in my potato salad. Since we didn't get any actual food as I stick to a vegetarian diet mostly, I'll give it a 4 star for the sides. Overall, the service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere is what you make of where a food truck is parked. The condiment/utensils available on the ledge do make it easier for grab-and-go.

I chose the pork ones and they were great, down to the pineapple topping. A spicy orange sauce accompanied them that I was immediately addicted to. Hard to believe this was all coming out of the back of a van! I also ordered the beef quesdadilla. Dare I venture that it was better than the tacos? Big and perfectly grilled! Just yum.. The food truck was clean and the employees were gracious. Even better? They know what they're doing. How many food trucks have you waited 30-45 minutes for your grub? Not Lily's Tacos.
