How have I not found this place before??? Some of the tastier street tacos ever! Soft tortillas, flavors are excellent. Watch out Don Tono I will be after your tacos for the rest of my life. Thank you for finally bringing outstanding quality to such a simple yet glorious treat.

I'm basically a regular here now. Years later and I come back over and over. I still stick with the steak tacos, the elote is really good, and the pork tamales are amazing. Give it a try if you want something authentic!

The street tacos here cost about $2.10 each, and I spent well over $20 on them during my visit, which probably says all that needs to be said about their deliciousness. I also added a quesadilla to my order, which was similarly terrific. And, unlike some food trucks, which tend to be stingy with extras, I was delighted to note Elotes Don Tono spared no expense when it came to cheese or avocado. So, if my review of the food itself is so glowing, what's up with the four star review? The answer to that question lies in wait time, which is substantial, and certainly more than one would expect from a food truck parked next to one of the city's worst Wal-Mart locations. I was just about the only customer present during my visit, and still waited over 20 minutes for my food to be prepared. Of course, once I sunk my teeth into it, I stopped caring about the wait immediately. So, perhaps it's worth it, after all.

I ordered a carnasada nacho. Very cheap chips The old squirt on cheese sauce In a few me crumble's of meat in jalapenos on top. I did not know why they gave me a spoon with my nachos until I tried to eat it it was for the full container of cheese sauce that the chips were sitting in so disgusting I threw it in the trash.I could it better at Taco Bell for 6.50. The tacos that I saw coming out looked good apparently I ordered the worst thing I could have

By far my favorite pork in Springfield. I have been extremely pleased every time I've eaten here. I don't even find myself going to other Mexican restaurants. WORTH A TRY!! And don't forget the Elotes! Or the ramen that is seasoned like an elote is also ssoooo good read more

I'm going to start off by saying that I am not giving them three stars on the food but on customer service. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I came to this place, maybe that other taco trucks are better equipped when it comes to service and food prep. I waited over a half an hour for FIVE tacos, it's not like I ordered two dozen but just five. When I walked up, I was not greeted as a guest more of a nuisance. The menu was not displayed, so I had no idea what I wanted until they gave me a menu to look at. Most trucks/restaurants have a menu posted for all to see when they come to a restaurant. The atmosphere was unsettling, I would suggest music maybe. Also, more tables would help if people wanted to sit. Over all I would not come back unless i was drunk and needed something to eat. Food was on point though!! read more

Excellent lunch spot! I've had various meat choices of quesadillas, tacos, and burritos. Tacos are on the small side, so order an extra one. Burritos come wonderfully simple with just meat, and pico if requested. Be sure to try both the green and red salsas. read more

Had some great tacos and quesadillas. The service was quick and really friendly. There's a nice open covering if you want to eat there, but still get out of the sun. We will be back for more. Also, Pineapple Whip is right next door, great for a meal and dessert! read more

If you want good authentic tacos go here. The schedule they are open is kind of strange but the tacos are the best ever. I have seriously never eaten a taco that tastes this good. The portions are kind of small but they are amazing. Seriously if you love tacos and want great authenticity find your way here. They're closed on Mondays so dont try but man the tacos are good. I regret all the times I drove past and didn't stop, but so glad I finally tried it!! The best tamales I've had here in town, and the tacos were great too. Make sure to try the corn- served on a stick and seasoned just right! Happy to hear they've opened another location. Will be back for sure! read more

I enjoyed the tacos very much. Warning, these are Mini tacos approximately 1/2 size. At $1.80ea I expected more. I tried one of each. They were quite tasty. I would recommend this to others but would warn them expect small portions. read more

We paid quite a lot, way above supermarket price for tough, fatty meat. The t-bones were ok, but the ribeye, new York steak, and filet mignon were barely edible. The hamburgers were supposed to be very lean but we're less than 80% lean. We will not be buying from them again. read more
