I met with her in person at the venue walk through where we covered a few remaining details. Words cannot describe what a relief Elsa was! She was at the venue early, already setting up by the time I arrived. She created incredible and unique centerpieces consisting of vintage books, small vases, tea cups, and flower blossoms. She also presented my seating cards in a totally unique way - she hung them from suspended frames. Now if this isn't enough to win you over, Elsa did something that SHOCKED me. When I started planning my wedding I had a clear idea of what I wanted it to look like and my mom and I went about collecting everything that we needed to make that vision come to life, even as I was across the country in Boston from my wedding venue in Sonoma. About 5 months out from the wedding I realized I had everything I wanted for the decorations but no idea how it was going to get it set up and I knew I didn't want to spend the day of our wedding running around with light bulbs, garlands, and chalkboards.... enter Elsa! I saw on her website that she offered an a la carte service of "Ceremony or Reception Set up or Break Down" so I emailed to ask about this service and her availability. Long story short - I heard back quickly, we soon set up a time to talk by phone, she listened to what I wanted and also made some good suggestions of her own, and she even took it upon herself to go look at the venue without my asking. I never actually got to meet Elsa because she had come and gone from our venue the day of our wedding once I arrived but I met some of the women who work with her and they were so sweet and accommodating to the few last minute changes I made. Everything looked even more beautiful than I had hope that it would and I can't even say how much of a difference it made to not have to worry about the decorations the day of my wedding. While we're from San Francisco, we've been based in Singapore for the last 9 months, and planning our wedding from so far away was quite a challenge. I had Elsa as my day-of-wedding planner at Healdsburg Country Gardens and she was fantastic. As the others mentioned she gave great and useful recommendations from how many bottles of wine to order to where would be a good nail salon for the day before the wedding. Having her there at the rehearsal and the during the wedding was indispensable and really helped me and my family feel more comfortable and relaxed during the day. She did a great job reassuring my nervous dad and making him feel like everything was under control. The only part of my wedding that seemed a little out of control were the staged photos. This was due to the photographer recommending that we do these pictures when the light was better, throwing off our schedule. I would recommend to anyone to prepare your list of photos you want with family members in advance (mine was very last minute) and make sure everyone involved is aware of the plan including the photographer. I hired Elsa for day-of coordination for my wedding and she was FANTASTIC. She's extremely detail-oriented, professional, calm and firm; all qualities that you want in a coordinator. My wedding ended up being seamless thanks to her! In terms of the planning process, she's a serious expert - she's been doing this for awhile - and when you do your walkthrough/rehearsal with her, it shows. She's also willing to ask the venue and vendors hard questions on your behalf and will advocate for you, which was really helpful. I had a crazy getting ready story which resulted in the bridal party arriving to the venue 1.5 hours late. In spite of this, she remained totally calm and showed up exactly when/where I needed her. She coordinated receiving a lot of last minute items from my maid of honor (like placecards, candles, and decor) and hustled to get everything set up in little time, all of which was executed flawlessly. She ran the timeline like clockwork and was great in knowing what to talk with my maid of honor about, versus coming directly to me. I feel that Elsa is reasonable for her services, and even goes above and beyond! After speaking with Elsa over the phone, I felt at ease, as I could tell she was a pro at her craft. My fiancee and I got engaged earlier this year and we knew we wanted a destination wedding this fall in the Sonoma / Napa area. Being based across the country, I first found Elsa via Yelp and trusting all the other stellar reviews she already had brought her on board to initially help me just search for my dream venue. We had such a amazing experience working with her that we ultimately brought her on to plan the entire wedding weekend from beginning to end. This was the best decision we made and we highly recommend Elsa to any couple! The month before my trip out west, she took the time to speak with me over the phone to really listen to what we were looking for going over everything from budget to style in order to really refine the list of venues to visit. From there, she sent me numerous venues for my consideration and through back and forth we refined the list down. She went above and beyond to not only plan out the entire 3 day itinerary, scheduling out all my visits with the venues ahead of time but also mapping it out for most optimal driving. It was through Elsa that after visiting over a dozen places (many of which she generously even joined us for out of her own weekend!) that we found our ultimate venue - a gem tucked away that we would have never found without her. Even after my search, she spent countless back and forth calls and exchanges to help us narrow it down and make sure our interests were best represented, while also thinking through all the considerations and being the liasion between us and the venue. With less then 7 months till my wedding, it became a no brainer after working with her to find the venue to bring her on board to plan the entire wedding start to finish. First off, she is so personable, approachable, warm and caring - acting like your favorite aunt who truly listens to you. She always showed such professionalism and has tremendous knowledge and expertise having been planning weddings in the area for the last couple decades. As part of the package, Elsa was there to help me navigate each and every major and minor decision. There was nothing that she wasn't willing to help with or lend advice/support. We would touch base on a regular basis by call, prioritizing tasks each week to keep us organized and myself sane. Every step of the way she was there guiding me from recommending and searching for all vendors that fit our criteria (e.g. DJ, flowers, rentals, catering, babysitter, shuttles, hotels/VRBOs for our guests, finding spaces for rehearsal dinner to sunday brunch) to then helping me review contracts and then her working directly with the vendors to ensure my vision would then come to life on the actual wedding day. On major things such as rentals, she again took time out of her busy schedule to spend a full day with me and my mother visiting each one and comparing. Elsa is incredibly detail oriented, honest, has a wonderful memory, and was always very conscious of my budget which is so important and cannot be underestimated. She was always keeping tabs and even finding smart, optimal ways to help us save money including lending a hand in DIY projects! For example, with her infinite, invaluable wedding tips she was able to help us stretch our budget and really maximize value on many things including cake, flowers, DJ, rentals. As part of the package, she also gave me full access to her entire inventory of wedding supplies she had on hand which saved me even more on things that I would have had to buy for one time use (e.g. candles, flower girl basket, signs, bird cage for the gifts, parasols, lawn games). All these small details really added to the overall day of ambiance, and without her I would have had to spend a lot more on these one-time purchases. As the big day approached, Elsa was there for us from leading my wedding party through our rehearsal on Friday to helping set up for our welcome drinks (and staying to make sure everything ran smoothly). The week of and on the day of, she took on so many tasks with her team taking charge of so many of the last-minute details (e.g. lavender to be thrown, placecards labeling, creating the flowers to be strung along the aisles, creating beautiful calligraphy signs, setting up games during cocktail hour). The actual day her and her team were there in the morning working hard behind the scenes to execute our vision so beautifully! The next day for our Sunday brunch, she was there for us again helping us pick up food and beverages needed and setting up while also going then to the venue to supervise takedown and clean-up of everything. I cannot speak more highly of Elsa and her services. We honestly couldn't have pulled it off without her. The time and stress she took off our plate and the money she helped us save by pitching in to help with DIY projects and advise on how to stretch our budget was priceless. My husband and I planned the majority of our wedding, but we wanted somebody to be there on our wedding day to make sure that everything ran smoothly and to deal with the vendors. What we got from Elsa was that and SO much more! About 2 or 3 weeks before the wedding, we had a call with Elsa to go over the day of details and timeline. Elsa provided incredibly useful feedback regarding timing of events (when to take photos, get hair done, etc. . .). She also had a million ideas we would never have considered (e.g. clothespinning the table cards so that they didn't blow away, providing parasols. . .) and then PROVIDED those items so that we didn't have to worry about the last minute details. She even had deodorant on hand when I realized that I had l left mine at the hotel. She fielded questions from the venue and vendors, ran around like crazy grabbing our people for the ketubah signing, got us lined up for the ceremony, and ensured that everything was running smoothly, which really took the pressure off of us. We experienced rain on our wedding day and had to pull the dinner into a barn on the property.
