We loved every minute of it. They have QR codes you can scan to hear the music to accompany the art (so bring your phone). The only room for improvement would be to put the QR codes to the left of the art pieces so you can listen to it while you're passing by the art connected with the music). The artist did such a beautiful job! So many details and it was so neat to see places you have passed a million times made of paper. The kaleidoscopes were very pretty and a fun touch. I highly suggest checking this very covid friendly event out.

It was quite a long stretch of Queen St. Everyone seemed to be having a great time and getting into the music It was pretty packed, although didn't feel too uncomfortably crowded, maybe because it was such a large area. Large crowds do form around the performers though, so it is pretty difficult to see (even if you are tall), unless you are lucky to get there as SOON as the performance begins I think. Quite a lot of food vendors. Only suggestion would be to sell alcohol (although there are a few bars on Queen)

There is a coat check by the door, multiple bathrooms on site, and merch tables are usually set up on the left side as you enter the venue. The view is usually pretty good from everywhere in the venue and the in house sound people are generally pretty good. (Most artists have their own sound person on your with them.) They serve blondes pizza and have a full bar. Pizza retails are $6? And the drinks are around $14 for tall cans (beers). The staff can be a little pushy, however if you know the drill they will be really nice to you. The drill is ID presented as you enter the venue. Handbags should be off of your person and ready for inspection (small bags only in venue - refer to venue bag policy). Take off all metal to get through the screening. They may confiscate jet lighters. After you are through security have your Ticketmaster app open to present tickets to enter.

Coat check $2 and drinks $12 were cheaper than the Mirvish or Ticketmaster owned venues which I appreciated. It is owned by the Ontario Heritage Trust rather than one of the billionaires of the world. It is a piece of Toronto history and you must absolutely go at least once to see this incredible piece of architecture.

Let's visit Neverland…read more Ed Mirvish Theatre is a historic downtown venue that continues to put on many of the popular productions that are in the city. We caught several broadway shows at this vast venue, including Peter Pan. We were impressed by the aerial lifts, dynamic backdrop and the swift Tinker Bell glow. The modern special effects of the show are a neat contrast to the 1920s architectural styles and decor of the historic building. The theatre has been kept in pristine condition, and the seats are comfortable. The foyer can hold a packed crowd during intermission, and features a grand staircase & concessions. Note the current theatre name is CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre but be careful not to mix this up with Mirvish's other CAA Theatre that is 20 minutes walk north. Glad we made it ahead of showtime in spite of this!

Which you will want if you like to see the elephant on animal parade that happens down the aisle. If you are considering going to this musical, I would even recommend row 4 or closer, stick to middle but left aisle. Some of the puppets like giraffe will bend down and go right up to your face! Great musical and fun experience. Recommend for family and kids. Just make sure your children are old enough to not get scared of Scar and the hyenas! Haha.

You can use stairs or an elevator. The entire place is extremely modern. They have touch panels for temperature control and AV control. There many equipment, including several large screen TVs on a movable pedestal. They even have garbage cans that open by waving your hand in front of a sensor! Their website is easy to navigate, and you can register for classes there. On Mon to Sat, they have programs for babies, toddlers, kids, adults, and seniors. For kids, there are classes in science, cooking, art, and music. For adults & seniors, there are classes in art, cooking, fitness, and music. Some of the classes have been adapted for special needs kids and their caregivers. The community centre opens the space for Autism Ontario on a Sun, provides the cookies, coffee, tea, and a receptionist, all for free! My son was here to play chess against other children. Luckily, he found someone who was almost equal to his skill level, so he definitely enjoyed his two hours there. During the summer, they also hold summer camps. There is free WiFi.
