I love a good massage (like most), and I've had my share of mediocre body work. Simon is exceptionally and extraordinarily skilled. His acupuncture healed my neuropathy and his intuition with pressure, rhythm, and flow is only surpassed by his therapeutic dedication and lovely personality! He has a way to make one relaxed and authentically cared for. Below…read moreis a detailed answer elaborating why Shiatsu is great, & why Simon is great: I have tried chiropractors, physical therapy, and other types of massages, but Shiatsu has shown to be the most effective and lasting treatment for the type of issues I have. Particularly a pinched nerve in my lower back which causes frequent discomfort, and then a weak shoulder that often gets sore. After my initial Shiatsu session with Simon, I was sore, but the next day I felt amazing! And since my last session about a week ago, I still feel great - I highly recommend you try. Adding to that, Simon is very easy to work with. It's kind of a personal thing, having someone massage you, but Simon makes it both relaxing and creates a comfortable and calm environment. Sometimes we converse, sometimes we don't, but I never feel pressured to talk. He's also knowledgable AND patient with questions. When I first visited him, I had many questions that he happily answered with detail. I still have questions when I go to him, and he still has this kind & informative demeanor. It's really not painful, the needles are much smaller than any medical procedure, and Sarah WANTS you to have a good + healing time so just communicate with her. I literally have been telling everyone I know. If you have a chronic pain issue don't just live with it, fix it! Acupuncture is recommended as a valid treatment by John Hopkins + Harvard. It's not pseudo science, it's real science that works with your nerves and stimulates neurotransmitters. I waited until after 5 sessions (~7 weeks) to post this review, but I seriously feel like I inhabit a different body than I had in March when I had my first appointment (posting this in May). I was referred by a co-worker who goes here too, and she has worked at various chiropractic offices in the past part-time so I trusted her opinion. I'm glad I found them. I feel like they put the patient needs first over their pocketbook. I've always had stiffness or soreness in my back and shoulders due to my line of work (dental=hunched over) and poor computer posture. One day it just got to be too much. I contacted them and got an appointment same day with Kiaja. Love her! She is so kind... and funny! And very knowledgeable and able to explain what she is going to do, why she is doing it and how it should help. I love that she is hands on (back cracking), and not just electrodes and walk away for 20 mins. My insurance doesn't cover my chiropractic care. So I purchased a package I get charged every month for, and it's affordable. Their packages are similar to Massage Envy. Examples: 2 times a month, 4 times a month, 8 times a month, unlimited monthly and family packages. The bigger the package, the more savings and perks. A plus...I get to use my HSA Benny card. I've been going for 8 weeks now and my back discomfort/ stiffness is so much better. I enjoy it so much, 10 mins isn't enough time to catch up with the week's events with Kiaja. I haven't been a patient for long but Kayla, the office manager, already knows me by name. And they had a fun March Madness competition... patients filled out brackets and winners won prizes (gift certificates, free services). I know they offer other massage and cryotherapy services too. Also, from the beginning he's flexibly tailored the treatments based on what's worked for me and what hasn't- instead of requiring I undergo all types of treatments (previous chiropractors have required services like elecrostim, which didn't seem to help me). Dr Dave tailored muscle strengthening exercises so they were more advanced and athletic focused, complimenting my regular weight lifting routine. When I've been in acute pain his office can usually work me in. He's resolved my pain from exercise overuse strains and spasming low back pain.

I had 8 hours to kill on the plane, so I started searching for a massage therapist to see upon our return. I've been getting massages for years, but this time I need "the works" and Vedran delivered! He asked great questions upon my arrival, and listened to not only what my immediate problem areas were but also about my general goals from massage therapy. He does not do a "cookie cutter" massage; while he went over all areas, he tailored my massage to areas that needed extra attention. And he checked in a few times regarding the pressure he was applying and it was always in par for me (but trust me he can 'turn it up' when required.) All in all a great 90 minute massage and I left feeling relaxed, but yet energized as well. He also spent time afterwards going over some simple stretches I can do each day to extend the benefits of our visit. Can't wait for my next session.

This guy knows what he's doing. He's very patient, and is extremely knowledgeable. He uses several different techniques, and listens to you and your concerns and works on the areas YOU want to have worked on. I've had some crummy massages from different therapists in the past, but nothing compares to Vedran. Other people have you come in and do the job... but it's not the same connection that I've had with him. Once you get to know him he's pretty funny, and a great guy. I was fully exposed for most of the massage, with minimal attempt to keep my groin covered. I'm convinced that he rubbed his genitals on my hand at one point, because there was some back and forth rubbing on my hand that did not feel accidental while he breathed super heavy. The massage itself was not a modality I have ever had before; there was no stroking but instead just pressing and holding for long periods of time which did not do much to relax me or loosen up my tight muscles. I definitely won't be back. My massage was a couple months ago and I delayed in writing this review because I convinced myself it was all in my head, but after reading similar reviews I feel it's important to give my experience a voice so other woman are aware of potential risks.
