Need to get nails redone at a different salon.

I have not had my nails done in forever... maybe 2 years now. I am sharing my experience I had today Em's Nails & Spa. This salon is located close to the Veterans Memorial Highway which makes it very convenient. The salon entrance created a welcoming atmosphere. The lounge showcased a large variety of colors to choose from. The technician's area I was seated at was clean & the chair was comfortable. The pricing they had when I came in today was affordable. The customer service needs serious improvement. The technician that did my nails was rude from the time I was seated to the very end. My Experience - I asked for french white tips as soon as I was asked what kind of nails I would like. The technician tried to give me a totally different set then what I asked for before I had to restate what kind of nails I wanted. My nails came out decent with a lot of air bubbles. I will have to get them fixed at another place when I return to the valley. In the end, I definitely suggest finding a better salon who values their clients. One of my best ever full Sets I've ever gotten! Loved them so much! Beautiful and clean salon as well as friendly staff! Will be my go to spot now!

Hm where do I start, well for starters I just moved here and have been consistently looking for a good Nail salon but boy this was a pretty big disappointment compared to the other half decent places I've been too. As soon as I arrived I was seated which was super nice considering the fact that I didn't have to wait at all but unfortunately as the visit went on my tech lady was considerably rude and right off the bat you could tell she didn't want to be there. I was also nicked a couple of times while she was doing my toes and I even started to bleed alittle from her digging into my skin to deep. Going on as she did my nails she was rough and even got stains all over my hands from the dipping powder, which I would understand if it was a little bit but this was totally unacceptable. In turn I ended up paying $120 for this utterly disappointing experience and tipping $5 which in turn should've just tipped nothing and don't get me wrong I would've tipped $20+ for this, if she was friendly but that wasn't the case. I will not be coming back here again and will be taking my money else where. Update: 2days in and my toe is now infected, this place is absurd!

I am visiting from Seattle and came across this place because of the great reviews. Probably won't come back. I was able to book online which I liked. I showed up and they didn't appear to know I had an appointment. I got just a regular polish French pedicure. The chair was comfy and the salon had a nice feeling to it. Unfortunately my cuticles took the brunt of it. My big toe, in addition to the chipped polish, is now infected. 3 other toes were bleeding as well. The cuticle care was just way too rough. No dryer for the polish. I waited 30 minutes before leaving and let them air dry. When I got in my car, I hit my toe and everything smudged.

I get pedicures and manicures about once a month and always love trying new places, so I've been to many, many nail salons in my day. This place is one of the best. I went for the first time today, and the atmosphere is so nice and relaxing, and everyone who worked here was so kind and good at what they do. Prices too are comparable to other nail salons that are far less nice. My nails look amazing and I left feeling so relaxed and happy. Can't wait to come back! read more

I have tried a lot of the nail salons in the area. One absolutely destroyed my nails and I needed to rehab them a bit. When I came here they saw the damage, helped me to remove the dip and over the last couple of months my nails have become healthy and long again. I love both the mani and pedis I get here and I would definitely recommend l. read more

After making the mistake of visiting a different salon in the area, Em Nails fixed my horrible gel manicure for a very reasonable price and made sure my nails were perfect before I left. This is definitely the best nail salon in the area and I highly recommend becoming a regular here. They will take care of you and make sure you get your money's worth! read more

I am visiting from Seattle and came across this place because of the great reviews. Probably won't come back. I'm all about length when it comes to nails and never had them shorter then what's pictured. Service was good. The nail tech was very nice and sweet. But he just wasn't it for me. It took him forever to shape my length. If you don't care much for long nails... this may be the place for you. But if you want lonnnggg nails.. I suggest you try another place. read more

Nice- absolutely Clean- for sure That's where the good comments end. I have friend who love this place so I believe it's pretty dependent on who your nail artist is. I went somewhere else for a full and while I won't go into details, she could not believe how poorly these were done. I accidentally deleted the pictures but they were very thick (thicker than a nickel which you'd see if I didn't delete my pics) and my mail stuck out of the sides under the artificial so I had to file when I got home. Definitely won't be going back. read more

They fit me in last minute and did a good job at a fair price. I do a French dip powder manicure and he wanted to do all pink and paint the tips white but I was pretty insistent on dip for both (I don't like the UV light) and they turned out well. He shaped them a little more round than I like but otherwise top notch. read more

Before I start, I am suggesting to everyone first find out how much it will cost you and then do your nails!!! I am coming to the Em nails spa for almost 5yr and this is 3th owne during this time of period! I love coming here and Julie previous owner dose amazing job!!! So well, yesterday I got my nails done by new owner and for my new set and very simple design I was charged $97! She told me $70 for my nails $10 for taking off my old nails and $17 for design! For being there customer I shouldn't be charged for taking off old set!On top of that, she couldn't use the stickers that I bring to her. She suggested me that she can draw something. She put a little foil and two lines as the design. I can just imagine how much she would change me if is ever nail done with cute Halloween design , probably $200!!!! Again, I know prices in that place I'm customer for this place for the past five years! So I was ripped off for $35-$40!!!! And I know it's true for the fact that I am visiting this place a long time and also I went to the nail shop behind them and asked them how much they will charge for my nails (and I showed them my fresh new set being done )as a new full set and they told me maximum $60! Trust me I didn't told them where I have them done or how much they cost me !So Em nails spa lost loyal customer! And is there lost ,because for me every corner has the nail place that I can go and feel good! Julie it was nice to know you and thank you for your service!!! read more

I was absolutely pleasantly surprised at Em Nails & Spa today. I showed up without an appointment, shortly after they opened, and they got me right back. It was clean, they were very efficient, and I'm extremely happy with how my gel manicure turned out. They also offer a 10% discount if it's your first visit, which was a cherry on top of an already delightful experience! I will definitely be returning. read more

I was in and out of sleep throughout the entire session because of how relaxing and skilled she was. That experience is the main reason we continued coming back, hoping to be matched with that therapist again. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was completely different. The therapist I received did not seem to be performing an actual massage so much as repeatedly rubbing up and down my body. At one point, she made one long stroke from my hip to my neck on the right side of my back, and I immediately felt a burning pain on the left side. I don't know exactly what happened, but it was painful and concerning, and it significantly impacted my experience. What concerns me even more are things I have learned about how this business is operated. I became aware of an employee who reportedly had documented medical conditions requiring frequent breaks. Even after providing a doctor's note, management was allegedly reluctant to accommodate those needs because breaks were said to "not fit the business model". As a business consultant, workplace culture and leadership matter to me. Based on feedback I have heard from customers and employees, I have concerns about management practices. I have heard reports of refund requests being denied even in situations involving the death of an immediate family member on the day of an appointment. I have also been told of employees being criticized by name in group chats that included additional participants. Based on my own experience and the concerns I have become aware of, I do not believe management prioritizes either customer satisfaction or employee well-being. The owner, Greg Lovato, left me with a very negative impression from the several negative reviews I have heard of this business. Greg, your sucky "management" style appears to undermine both customer loyalty and employee morale, two things that are essential for a successful business. No wonder your employees quit with no notice. Get some professional help. Hope you go kick rocks in bare feet.

I'm an elementary school teacher and a rock climber, so short nails aren't just a preference--they're what works for my lifestyle. Despite explaining this several times, I felt like I was continually being talked out of the length I wanted because the technician believed longer nails would look better. The shaping process was also frustrating. When I asked whether my existing shape was considered round or square, I never really got an answer. Since I was happy with the shape I already had, I was simply trying to communicate that I wanted to keep it the same. Instead, the conversation kept circling back to questions that left me feeling more confused than guided. The biggest concern was during clipping. Several times the clippers pinched the skin beneath my nails. When I mentioned it, the technician seemed to focus on the tool itself rather than adjusting the angle or technique. It was uncomfortable and not something I've experienced during professional nail services elsewhere. I had also hoped to add a simple nail art design. I brought photos for reference, and while the staff was polite, they seemed uncertain throughout the process. I expected more confidence and guidance. At other salons, technicians will look at inspiration photos and offer suggestions about colors, shapes, or design options. Here, I felt like I was repeatedly being asked to make decisions that I was hoping the professionals would help me navigate. The finished nails were uneven, my cuticles still looked rough, and unfortunately the gel chipped within about a week. My natural nails also felt weaker afterward rather than stronger. What stands out most is that I never felt heard. Good nail technicians don't just perform a service--they listen carefully, help translate inspiration photos into a realistic result, and confidently guide clients through the process. That's the experience I was hoping for. I genuinely think the people here are kind, and this review isn't meant to be harsh. It's feedback from someone who wanted the visit to go well and has had much stronger experiences elsewhere. With more attention to listening to client preferences, consistency in shaping and prep work, and greater confidence when discussing nail art options, I think Sandy Nails could provide a much better overall experience.
