Got them done Friday and by Sunday my GEL POLISH has chipped! Extremely rushed service even though I called beforehand making sure they had time for me. Don't even get me started on my sisters set!! She got regular polish, the lady put 3 coats of polish without letting it dry she just used the drying spray then put 2 more coats over that then told her not to touch anything for the NEXT 15 MINS and the polish was so wet it slid right off! I came here Friday with my sister and they messed up my nails so bad to the point I had to go home and cut them off myself because the glue was still gummy like. All the nails had a different type of thickness. You could bend some of the nails. They did 3 layers of polish but didn't let any layer dry before applying a new one. Then they sprayed quick dry stuff on my nails which I have never had to get done before. And not to mention the staff kept staring at us before our appt started the vibe was really off. Location: In the highland plaza shops by Homegoods, TJ Maxx, Kohl's, and other stores. In other words good location, as there are things for you to do if there is a wait. Wait time: Typically not long. The first time I went in, it was a little hectic b/c they were remodeling and so my wait time was about 10-15 minutes. This was my second visit to this nail salon and I called in for an appointment. But I called in an hour ahead and they had an opening with my requested nail technician, Phea . Service: acrylic fill, coffin shape, with minimal glitter detail. Pedicure (basic, I think). Experience: My first visit here was a bit chaotic, b/c of the remodel. The space was much smaller and they sat you down and then didn't check back in until the nail technician was ready. So that was a little frustrating in terms of communication. However, I feel like most nail salons are like that. So until you know who you want, it may feel this way. My second visit, they told me to have a seat but didn't really direct me to pick a color or provide me with the nail Rolodex of colors (removed half a star). I picked a color from the regular polishes and had Phea match it to a similar gel polish. But then I noticed that at her station there was a color I really liked and ended up with that. With my pedicure, I was somewhat disappointed that I was not offered options (e.g., stone massage, foot mask, etc) but at least they didn't try and up-sell me. I took off half of a star for that. Phea's work is detailed. You can show her a picture on Pinterest and she will work with you to get it to where you want it. She checks in to see if it's what you wanted. So. Pros: They are very nice, kind, and professional. Cons; Two of my nails she nailed round but the rest of them where very round when I asked for oval. The round make my hands look not elegant. The fake nails don't even fit my fingers correctly they are cut off too short. Stay tune for edit. I will try and call them tomorrow to see if you can fix a round shape to oval. Update 5/1: so I chickened out regarding them fixing it. I have been going to the Brickyard location for a long time and today was a completely different experience which makes me never want to go back (and I doubt we will). We had an appointment for 3 pedicures at 2:00. When we got there, they had chairs for 2 and had the 3rd member of our party wait for a chair for about 15 minutes. No big deal, but after they seated her, it was another 30 minutes until they started her pedicure and my daughter and I were completely finished and drying by that time. Kind of disappointing since we had an appointment and it seemed like that didn't really matter. What really made it so we don't want to return is how my 8 year old daughter was treated. The person working on her was fairly young and someone I'd never seen before, so I'm guessing she's new. The entire time we were there, she was scolded for moving, splashing, giggling (because her feet tickled when they scrubbed them). The last straw was when my daughter asked the nail tech if she likes her job (to be polite) and the employee snapped back and told her to stop talking to her. She was over getting her nails painted when this was said, otherwise I would have confronted her directly. What should have been a fun and enjoyable time was ruined by an employee who treated my 8 year old like garbage. I do not see us returning, even though we've been going there the past nine years. I usually am one to never leave negative reviews, but felt the need to share my experience. I used to get my nails done at Pro Nailz all the time, but started going elsewhere two years ago because of location to my home. I had to get my nails done for a last minute event and Pro Nailz got me in right away which I was super thankful for! They stated on the phone that it would be 40-50 minutes for what i was wanting done. Before sitting down I asked if my design could be done, and I was given an immediate, confident yes. Two hours later I left the nail salon with something I didn't ask for and plenty of painful nicks from the tools. I was going to ask if I could have my nails fixed at the salon today, but my nail cuticle and skin are so inflamed and painful to the touch that I'm just going to keep the nail design. During the experience I bled three different times, and at one point started crying because of how bad it hurt. My nail tech was VERY kind and clearly was very sorry. I wouldn't be making this post but many people came up to me and asked if I was okay and if I liked my nails. It's constantly busy, churning out every design, color, and shape in the book. Nevertheless, there is plenty of talent to admire here. Every time I've come to Pro Nailz, I am happy! Today was a little off course since I decided to get long acrylics. I was assigned to Cindy (#8) and she was fantastic to work with.
