They always offer something to drink, and are so so nice. My personal experiences of nail salons is that you are just another set of hands and they try to get you in and out as quickly as possible. However, the last time I was there, they caused extreme damage to my nails by using a drill to remove the gel nail polish. It is taking months for the damaged nail to grow out and consequently get back my healthy nails. So I won't go back for a gel manicure unless I insist that no nail drills are used. (By the way, I noted that in their inspection report, they were cited for using nail drills "not intended for human use". I think I found a nail drill similar to the one they used on Amazon, which was marketed for manicures - but maybe the regulators don't "approve" of its use.)

I was looking for a gel pedicure before I left for vacation and was able to schedule a same day appointment within an hour. There's a large parking lot and a Caribou Coffee right next door if you want a sweet treat during your appointment! Lisa was so kind and made me feel at ease. I am more of an introvert and getting any type of beauty service done can be intimidating, but I loved my experience. Her shop is also very clean and service is very efficient. My appointment took ~30 min! Her pricing is very affordable, I got a basic pedicure for $40 + $15 gel add on. Okay, maybe I came here once to get my man nails cleaned up a bit. But no nail polish. Anyway, the kiddo wanted her nails done for the new school year. The wife was at work, so I brought my daughter to V Nails. They opened up at 10:00 am, and we went on a Wednesday. I called at 10:00, and made the reservation for 11:00. We showed up, and signed the log book. The nail technician, "Tina" took care of my daughter, and about 40 minutes later, she got the stamp of approval from my daughter, who was happy with her acrylic nails with a French tip thingy, and some nice hand painted flowers. $75 bucks later, with a tip added on, we headed home. A bit spendy, but I guess that's the going rate these days. Plus the kiddo was happy, so it was worth it. Nice place. Ask for Michelle or Tina. They are very good.
