So I've now been to Scarlett's twice and my experiences have been great…read more My first experience was for a lash extension, Karina was my technician and walked me through the process as it was my first time. She explained how to care for my lashes, what would be required in terms of a next visit and while the procedure took a little longer than expected it was an amazing result. I returned last night for a different procedure. This time it was for a lash lift and tint, shorter in time and different but Karina was still great. She made sure that the results would speak for themselves and that everything was done right. The owner was very sweet and remembered me and made a point to say hello. A super pretty, very girlie (yes I love it) place to get some pampering done. Hoping to be able to try some of their spa services soon. This place is coming along nicely, give it a shot!

This was my first time at Scarletts and Karina did a full set lash extension. I moved to…read moreConnecticut from Las Vegas where lash boutiques are on every corner. My old salon, Cherry Lash Lounge, was the best. I would go in, sit in my comfy chair and fall asleep. The process was easy and painless. Scarletts has a lot going for it. The salon is nice and clean, but I miss those comfy recliners from Cherry. My back was killing me laying on that flat table and it was cold. 30 minutes in, I was done. The glue they use here is super strong. My eyes were watering for a while from the sting. That has never happened to me before. The tape they use is also kind of tough to get off. Again, I never had this issue before. The lashes themselves looked good when Karina was done, but the irritation lasted for a few days where my eyes would just water. I want to give this place another shot because so far I've lost minimal lashes in 2 weeks. But I'm not sure I can overlook everything it took to get here. My advice, get comfy recliners and blankets for clients with 2 hour appointments. A different glue would have me giving this review way higher marks. The burning is no good. *****UPDATE****** I decided to give Scarlett's Lash Lounge another shot and I'm glad I did. Karina and I talked about the issues I had with my lashes and found a solution for the tape and the burning. The table is still, not my favorite, but Karina does a great job so I'm willing to just put a pillow under my back (I would still suggest investing in a recliner. It's the best) My lashes are great, comfortable and easy to maintain. I've been back twice since my initial visit and I'm a faithful customer at this point.

I'm really disappointed because I wanted to love this place. The first two times I got my nails…read moredone, I loved the designs. However, having them remove my gel x was a nightmare and they've totally ruined my nails. The tech buffed them down way too thin. Despite her commenting on how hot the file was (and me agreeing), she kept going and I trusted she was doing it correctly. The next day they were burning and bruised - they're still breaking and painful 2 months later.

Prices are jacked for no reason. Their prices make no sense-- VERY money hungry…read more I asked for a spa pedicure(basic pedi at around $48) with gel polish (+$10). My big toe was filed to a round shape for some reason (I wasn't asked) and so I asked for an acrylic overlay on JUST my big toes(only two toes) to make them square. Somehow my total came out to $72.32, NOT INCLUDING TIP. I usually don't pay more than $55 anywhere else. I really wanted to like this spot as it was my first time but I've NEVER paid that amount for a basic pedi with gel including an acrylic overlay on the big toes (must I add, I've done this at multiple other locations). This was not worth $73 and I will not be returning. Edit 5/18/24 10:43am: I'd like to add- the business just responded as we all see below and stated I messaged them previously. The only contact I made with them prior to my appointment was a phone call earlier in the day to set up the appointment for the pedi. From there, the only price "breakdown" given, was when they gave me a laminated sheet at the foot bath showing me the different pedicure price options. There was no communication regarding the additional $20 to add the acrylic overlay to 2 toes. The response to my review is also the first time I'm hearing of this $20 charge for the acrylic. Which, might I add, $20 for two toes is absurd. Now in regards to the "elementary" math. That is very degrading for a business to say to a customer who has willingly paid with no fight to avoid a confrontation. Along with the fact this just proves the service you'd be giving your future customers. It is an unfortunate response as these reviews are for the businesses personal use to improve any quality errors wherever those errors are made.while I respect the services and prices varies from place to place, I do not respect a place of business degrading, insulting, lying and not communicating to their customers. As I mentioned before- I do not recommend going here. And I will not be returning. There is no reason to give your money to a business with obvious honesty issues, communication issues and doesn't know how to take constructive criticism as seen in both their actual review and the screenshot provided. Thank you The Nailbar CT for showing your true colors. I've lowered your rating from two stars to one. It's unfortunate I can't give zero. Edit 5/18/24 12:44pm: let me reiterate- I HAVE NEVER contacted them prior to my one and only phone call to schedule my appointment OVER THE PHONE to schedule a 6:15pm appointment on 5/17/2024. As you see in my screenshot of my call to you, which was ONLY 42 seconds, I only asked if they do pedicures, and to schedule for 6pm, you suggested to arrive for 6:15 instead-- I agreed. That's where the call ended. Once again- this business proves my point of being unprofessional. Instead of going back and forth with someone who has willingly paid you and If you guys read and comprehend what this complaint was about, you'd notice this was about the lack of communication, and that the price doesn't match the work after an error was made on your behalf. And while you very much could have me mistaken for a different client, or just falsely accusing me, regardless, as a business owner, you should never speak to someone the way you responded to me.
