I was starting to get worried when we got off the freeway and starting passing all these other hotels but kept driving and ended up at an old mall. Oddly that is where the hotel is. This is a strange location for a hotel; it's inside a dying mall. The good thing about that is that there is a huge parking lot, so if you're towing something this is the hotel for you. The rooms are very comfortable. Although many folk say they're 'dated,' I think the color palette from the 1980s is much warmer than the grays and blues everyone uses today. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was its restaurant. It sucked. The Buffalo Chicken flatbread is on some sort of tortilla that doesn't resemble flatbread at all. And the chicken on both the flatbread and in my chicken salad was just rubbery and terrible. read more

Embassy is always a great place to stay. When I researched this hotel, it stated it was near a mall so I thought it would be a good place to stay. Unfortunately, the mall was pretty deserted and the area seemed a bit sketchy. We were traveling so looking elsewhere was not an option. Once we entered the hotel, there was no disappointment with our stay. It had everything we needed. Bar, restaurant, breakfast and a wonderful room. We did take advantage of the happy hour reception and we ate at the bar for dinner. We had to leave early to get to our son's house so we didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I am sure it was good. Room was perfect, clean and roomy. We slept like a log. Only small issue that the water was cold in the shower. We did complain about that the water and the clerk told us there is a trick to getting the water warm in the shower. Which should have been told to us when we checked in. So if you stay, run the water in the sink until it gets warm and then start the shower. Wish I would have known this so I could have taken a warmer shower. That is why I gave them a 4 star rating. read more

We really enjoyed our stay here. A huge shout out to Corey at the bar and the kitchen staff who were super accommodating when we called at 9:46 PM to see if it would be possible to get food when we arrived. We were told "no worries" and were welcomed when we arrived. I wasn't expecting much from hotel fare, particularly right at closing but it was really good, especially the wings. We enjoyed a glass of wine while we waited and chose to eat in the bar/lobby area as the ambiance and seating was inviting and very comfortable. Although the food was definitely frozen, fried fare, they clearly have a good supplier and kitchen staff that cared to prepare and present it properly. The room was updated, clean and comfortable if a little on the small side in comparison to other Embassy Suites. Breakfast was good; however, there were items missing (specials advertised were actually unavailable) and machines not working (iced coffee) as well as a limited selection of coffee condiments but the staff was phenomenal. We enjoyed the pool as it was private and in a perfect sunny spot but it could've been a little cleaner (cloudy and leaves). I chalked that up to being rather early in the season for much pool traffic. The evening reception was enjoyable as well and the staff worked hard to ensure no one waited too long and tables were cleared and cleaned quickly. Additionally, this is the first time since Covid that I've had cleaning staff come around and offer to freshen up and restock, so I was grateful to not have to call and wait. If we come back to the area, we would absolutely choose to stay here again. Thank you to all of the staff that made our stay great...you all made it 5 stars! read more

My coworkers stayed here from Mon-Thurs this week and overall our experience was good. This is probably one of the cleanest Hilton chain hotel I've ever stayed in. All I see all day everyday is people cleaning the hotel! From the desks and chairs in the lobby to the dinning area, to your room. Now since Covid, many hotels have reduced their house cleaning service to only providing by requests. Meaning, if you stay 1-3 nights, you won't get room service unless you ask for it. There are stickers everywhere stating so (Hilton policy). However, at this hotel, even though they had that same sticker everywhere in your room, in the elevator, they also said at this location they provide room service every day so unless you don't want it, put up a sign or tell the front desk. I put up the sign for my 3 nights stay but I left a big tip in the end. Now, the location. Wow, not in a good way. Driving here was like driving to a deserted mall, where you only see on TV or in the walking dead.. They claim to be connected to the mall but what mall really? The empty deserted haunting looking mall? The lobby has doors connected to the "mall" but I wish they just locked it all together. Because it is opened. We peaked and walked into the "mall" it literally was like walking into a haunted empty abandoned mall with Ruby closed, walls boarded up in some stores and literally a wall created to block access from the hotel section to the foodcourt. There were still 4 coin-massage chairs. So creepy! Because the mall music was still playing! Would I stay here again? yes and no, yes because they are super clean and no because the area creep me out..... read more

I have certain quality standards at Hilton properties and Embassy Suites is a brand where one has certain expectations to meet. Brunswick GA is a small town (mom grew up there) The bad: the pool water was green, one person in my party decided to brave it but didn't want to put their head under water. One area of the pool had so much algae, it felt like you were stepping on pond grass. "A little chlorine goes a long way" isn't an expression they are aware of The atrium of the hotel was definitely not being cooled by a/c. I understand the need to conserve energy, but it felt like a swamp in the common areas Where were any bellman to help with the luggage on arrival? They had luggage carts, but apparently it's do it yourself The good: the cocktail reception was great, the bartenders genuine and friendly, and customer oriented. The breakfast was great, the lady flipping the omelets was a good cook and very sweet. Save your money, the rooms are old, dark and outdated! Toilet is for kindergartners it's so low and when you sit on it the toilet moves and bangs the wall! It's not connected properly! The floor grout is filthy, tub is gross with layers of caulking on the inside and base. Door looks the it was in a flood splitting on the bottom! Shower had no water pressure on 4 & 5 floor from what we heard checking out! We experienced very low water pressure as well! Lighting is low so you can't see, lightbulbs not working or bulbs flickering , crooked lamps & shades! What was once a nice hotel with great simple appetizers is now just chips, pretzels & fruit! The Free wine is cheap rot gut tasting and beers are Bud & Bud Light, with cheap rail booze! One positive not the bed was comfortable! Can't recommend this hotel for the price you pay for a bedroom suite! Save your money it's located in a nearly vacant mall next to a movie theater which doesn't give you a warm and fuzzy feeling for security! Never again will we stay here! Staff was cordial but could care less about conditions several people were complaining at the front desk! Save your money and stay elsewhere! Rooms and hotel common areas are very nice. Staff was very nice but they were terribly short staffed. The hotel allows dogs and while we pick up after our dog not everyone does and the grass areas were awful. For this reason I would not recommend this hotel for people traveling with their dogs. Incredible place to stay. Morning breakfast....comfortable rooms. Cheryl & Sheliah were my breakfast providers and the were incredible folks to start my day off. I recommend this place for the friendly staff and incredible service. Val (the Pretty One) kept things lively with her humor. Sergio, Alvin & A.J. kept my coffee cup / orange juice full and the fruit /cereal bar well stocked. I'm between a 2 and 3 on this place. The price was outrageous for what one gets for one's $$. Arriving, I thought we had accidentally selected a hotel in the "hood." Rooms are very dark Small sink area hardly any room for bathroom items to get ready. We plugged the sink so I wouldn't lose items bc it has no plug. The plug in the tub is so old it comes all of the way out to keep the water to drain, or plug it completely. Shower pressure was THE WORST I've ever had. I can't wash my hair bc it would take 45 minutes to wash and get it all rinsed thoroughly. .... Are the good reviews above from the guys.....just bc of the breakfast? Because that's what it has to be. I haven't even had breakfast yet we just got into the bed and it's hot even though it's set on 66, and we're too tired to call and have to move to another room. The fan for the air won't even kick on. Listen if you can travel back to 1995 this would be the place to stay, but in 2023 IT NEEDS UPDATES & REPAIRS.... NOW!!! What an interesting location. I was nervous as this hotel is in a pretty much abandoned mall. However we did feel safe and the hotel is very nice. The bed was excellent and the service was exactly you would expect from an embassy suites. I do have to say that I really like the keyless digital key on my app. Also what an amazing breakfast. First time ever at an Embassy Suites. Front desk ladies were very nice. King bed suite on the 5th floor was very nice. TV in the living room, and bedroom. Wish there were some firmer pillows on the bed. We went to the complimentary Evening reception both nights (5pm -6:30pm) and they had packaged peanuts, popcorn and pretzels. You could get alcohol, but we had an ice tea and ginger ale the first night, and a virgin pina colada and strawberry daiquiri the last night, but they were not good. Not enough liquid was added. (All ice) The breakfast was the best of any stay ever. They have a drink/fruit/danish station (coffee, soft drinks, milk, juices, packaged muffins, fruit), an omelet & waffle station, and all the other breakfast items (sausage, bacon, grits, potatoes, toast, oatmeal, English muffins) at the last station. At the omelette station, you can get fried eggs. Breakfast ends at 8:30am during the week, and 10am on the weekend. read more

This property isn't much to look at, and it's adjacent to a mall that's half empty, but we've stayed here multiple times and have always been comfortable. I like the Embassy Suites layout, with the extra sitting room/sofa sleeper in the front, as it creates a buffer between the bedroom and potential hallway noise. The bathrooms at this property are small, with vanities that don't have space on top or any storage underneath, but there is an area between the living room and bedroom with some counter space. The shower was disappointing on my most recent visit; it was cold outside, and it took the water forever to heat up, a result of a poorly insulated building with equally poorly insulated pipes, no doubt. The lobby is a little depressing, with gray, tan and brown neutrals that look bleak and sad rather than upscale; perhaps it's the lack of natural light, but I never loiter and always just pass through on the way to the elevators. It's just not inviting. The fitness center is adequate, and larger than ones in many Hilton properties. But the important thing for me at any hotel is, are the beds and pillows comfy?, and these are. read more

Was at this hotel for several days over the work week. Seems like they have done a little remodeling since I was here last so the place looks a little nicer. Still working on some of the front end area remodel, should look nice when done. Room was pretty nice, spacious and was somewhat quiet in the bedroom area despite the echo chamber design of the place. Workers at the breakfast area and reception area are nice. However, the front end staff seemed visibly upset if I engaged them with something as insulting as a "good morning" or "how are you". Breakfast is average as is the reception. Best hotel experience I've had. From check in to check out, everything was excellent. Don't sleep in on the breakfast buffet, made to order omelets, grits, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, fruit and all the other continental breakfast options. In the evenings they provide light snacks and completely drinks during happy hour. Our room was spacious and very clean. The entire hotel is spotless. The on-site restaurant was a little pricey but overall good food and didn't have to leave the hotel. If you have anyone staying at FETC this is a great, nearby hotel. They have a complementary happy hour from five till 630 with awesome drinks. After a long day of traveling on the road we always enjoy a very nice hotel stay. Our choice is normally in the Hilton family so we stayed at the Embassy suites in Brunswick which is halfway to where we were going in the mountains to escape the Florida heat. We have to say the Embassy suites really knows how to get their guest to return time after time. After checking in to the hotel and getting up to our room which is an inside room and you're over looking the atrium which is beautiful, they have plants, and pictures on the wall which has you looking in every direction. After settling in and unpacking some of our suitcase and taking a shower in this beautiful bathroom, it was their nightly complimentary cocktail reception, which serves different kinds of alcohol ,beer ,wine and soda. And along with that they serve several different kinds of tasty snacks. After a very good nights sleep on an excellent mattress, and a very large TV to watch in the living room and in the bedroom. You go down the elevator that is very close to your room and get a wonderful complementary breakfast which is a buffet and The chef that will make you a omelette of your choice with different meats , and different vegetables, of your choice. This is how the Embassy suites treat you with class and dignity and you don't mind stopping for the night and having an enjoyable evening . read more

Me and my two buddies recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in Brunswick Ga. The hotel itself is bright, clean and tastefully done. We found the rooms clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast alone is worth booking a room there. The layout of food was incredible, I haven't seen anything like that in a long time. I would not hesitate to stay there again in the future. If it's to be said that a business is only as good as its staff then Embassy Suites hit the jackpot on this one big time. Starting out with Diane the Manager who went above and beyond for us we would like to say "Thank you so very much". This wonderful lady went out of her way to find us a safe parking spot for our motorcycles so we didn't have to worry about them overnight. And if that wasn't good enough the hits keep coming folks. Jessica, the Bar Manager was incredible. She made both the nights we spent at the bar very special for all of us. She never made us feel like we were just a customer but more of a friend she hadn't seen in ages. In short, she gets the award for being a "Georgia Peach"!!!. Her co-worker Cory was also just a blast to hang with. He's a great guy and really goes out of his way to show you he is there to help in any way possible. I've stayed in my share of Hilton and Marriots and this ranks as one of the better Hilton's that I have seen (and is the best hotel in the area). The staff was fantastic! From the friendly check-in staff to the bartender pouring drinks during the free happy hour socials (free drinks and snacks) hosted by the hotel, each staff member contributed to a great stay. This Hilton did all of the little extra things that are often overlooked and that the other hotels in the area do not seem to do. They have warm cookies waiting for you when you arrive, complimentary bottled waters in your fridge, and free Wall Street Journal and USA Todays as you leave. In addition to a great staff, you have the happy hours, a breakfast that consists of the essentials (yogurt, fruit, eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast, cereal, juice, bagels, etc), and decent sized rooms. As an added bonus, you are walking distance to the mall and many restaurants. THe biggest drawback is that the gym is on the smaller side, but still is much better than the nearby Marriots. Overall, this was a great stay and will be where I stay whenever I am in the area again! read more

We love staying at Hilton properties and this place was no exception. We were going to stay in the Brunswick area so we could go out to visit Jekyll and St. Simon Islands. We found this location had a great price and was in an idea place to travel out. They are located just off the main hwy. going out to the islands and a quick ride out and back with little traffic on the weekend. This place is very spacious and the entire first floor has not rooms. The one side is the breakfast, happy hour space and the other side is more or less a waste of space. I was greeted as an Honor Member and because i used the new app to check in early, i got my key and went right to our room. The room was spacious with a living room area, separate bar area and a separate bedroom. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were awesome with a large selection of breakfast items and you could order a specially made omelet made by a very fast working chef. There was a Happy Hour every night and even on the weekends. Your limited choice of beer, wine, soft drinks and light snacks of chips, veggies, and sauces. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed it completely. The only problem we had was the first morning at breakfast. There was only one Busboy and he had a hard time cleaning enough tables for people to sit as they were very busy. After that everything was just fine. We will go back again next year when we come through that area. read more

My family and I came here recently for Labor Day weekend. There were a couple of not so great things that transpired, but overall we had a good time. The good: the hotel was updated and conveniently located, all of the employees were nice, the breakfast buffet was good, and there was an onsite bar/restaurant, a pool, and a mini "market" that had a small selection of snacks. The not so good: We returned from watching fireworks at the park around 8:50 pm on Sunday and attempted to order drinks from the hotel bar. They refused to serve us and stated that last call was at 8:45 because they close at 9 on Sundays. However, when I spoke to the employee at the front desk a few minutes later, she advised that due to it being a holiday the following day, both the bar and buffet were supposed to be operating on a weekend schedule. She said her manager told her so and she was under the impression that the manager also communicated that to all of the employees. The bad: We were put in room 417 and as soon as we stepped in the room I smelled a strong odor of mildew with an undertone of disinfectant. I initially believed the mildew smell was due to the daily cleaning and disinfecting of the room and furniture and it being left damp as a result. I soon realized that was not the cause. Upon entering the bathroom I saw that the whole wall to the right of the toilet was molded/mildewed. Literally almost from the ceiling to the floor. Disgusting. It was evident that there had been a water leak at some point and they didn't take the time to repair the wall. After driving five hours to get there, I was too tired to raise an issue or move rooms that night so I let it be until the morning. The next morning, I notified the front desk employee (I believe her name was Karen). She was extremely apologetic and assured me that she would get us a new room. Within an hour she made it happen. She sent housekeeping to our door with key cards for our new room, along with a note apologizing and a $15 credit to be used in their market or restaurant. I appreciate her care and getting us moved so quickly, but I don't understand why anyone initially thought it was acceptable to place a guest in room 417 given its condition. read more

I have been coming to this hotel for a few years now, every month. They have had a huge face lift and now it's one of the best in the area. Rooms are big. Beds are comfy. Hotel is quiet. It's attached to the mall. You can walk through the hotel and right into the mall from inside. Nice. The managers special, where they offer dinner snacks, chips, salsa, etc., is a nice touch, beer and wine also. Nice way to wind down after a day of work and before dinner. Front desk folks are all nice and try to help with anything and everything. They offer regular rooms, special rooms (501-508) and corner rooms (for an up charge). In the am, it starts with a great free breakfast to order or buffet style. It's always really good and you can fill up. Way to start the day. My 20 year old daughter was driving from FL to NC to visit and her car battery died in Brunswick, GA when she stopped for food. I insisted she take a hotel room for the night and make sure the car was ok with new battery. I called A few Hotels who wouldn't allow her to stay as policy is 21 to book a room. Embassy Suites was great and said no problem, I could pay over the phone she just needed to show ID and CC. Her stay was good, bed was good, overall a good experience. What put them over the top, was the fact that when she got to my house she realized she left her stuffed bear (beary) in the bed. She called, they found her, kept her safe and locked in an office until she drove back! You have to understand, my daughter has had "beary " since she was one day old! My family and I enjoyed our stay here during our annual July 4th holiday trip. The hotel is extremely clean, new, and spacious. We ordered two double room suites. They were incredibly clean! We didn't have a problem with the room arrangements at all. The bathroom was bigger than most, and we never wanted for anything. Their continental breakfast is IMMACULATE. I have never seen a hotel serve breakfast buffet style at THIS caliber. I've been to actual breakfast buffets that simply cannot light a candle to what we were greeted to every morning. Hot and iced fresh coffee, cold juices, milk, and a tea station satisfied everyone at all times of the day. They have a special made-to-order omelette and Belgian waffle station with every chopped topping you could imagine, bagels and toast, fluffy regular eggs, grits, oatmeal, potatoes and onions, sausage, pancakes, crispy bacon, and a full yogurt bar! My family practically rolled out of the lobby every morning! We definitely enjoyed ourselves and are grateful for their dedicated and prompt service. They also have a complimentary snack and adult beverage happy hour from 5-7 everyday! I ordered a free Tequila Sunrise and was NOT disappointed. The front desk staff were more than willing to help us find other things to do in town and in the surrounding islands, and when our room keys went dead, they happily replaced them, even at 1:30 in the morning. The hotel was clean. Our shower hit water didn't work and we were told to run the wet bar and shower together for a while. That helped, but the drain was very slow going down.
