La Quinta's are our go to while traveling with our pet. This particular stop was right on par with our expectations, clean, comfortable at a moderate price, there is a 25$ "Pet Fee" my only complaint was with the breakfast. Grits should never be put out in place of eggs. The grits where practically untouched while every other option was cleaned out. And let's go with two orange juice dispensers so that if one is broken, the most sought after of the options is still available. (Besides coffee) and knowing this, the attendant needs to be quicker on stocking the other options which were very low when I came through. Breakfast today was a fail. It could be such a positive thing with a little more attention to detail and effort. Nobody, is putting effort into the complimentary breakfasts it could be an area that sets you apart from the rest. I chose this hotel for a quick overnight stay because it had good reviews, particularly regarding cleanliness. When I checked into the hotel and got to my room, the door was standing wide open. There were no housekeeping carts or people around, so I stuck my head in and looked around. The room was empty and had been serviced (it smelled really strongly of cleaner), so I closed the door to assure my key worked, then entered the room. Despite being a cold day, it was very hot inside, so I tried to turn on the air conditioner. I set it as low as it would go, but it would only blow hot air. I tried calling the front desk, but it was busy every time I tried, so I took my things back down, explained, and asked if I could please have a different room. (There were no other customers around and only one car in the lot besides mine, so the constant busy signal on the phone made zero sense.) After my thermostat explanation, the woman at the front desk asked me if I had tried setting the temperature backwards. Apparently the hotel had recently been rewired and many of the rooms had been wired incorrectly. I told her no, but again asked if I could just have a room where the thermostat worked. I also explained that I didn't need a handicap accessible room (which the first room--Room 201--had been), but I was told that that's what I had been assigned and she couldn't change that in the system, even though when I showed her my booking, I hadn't booked an accessible room. I was sent to the second (accessible) room--Room 101--and checked the thermostat. The unit was already blowing cool air even though the thermostat said it was OFF. I played with it for a bit and no matter what I set it on, nothing changed. I figured at least it wasn't hot, so I just turned it back off (air still blowing). I went to turn on the bedside light because the room was a bit dark, but the switch for that light didn't turn it on--it turned on the light over the door leading into the room. I checked a couple of more switches, and everything turned on a light, but it wasn't any of the lights it SHOULD have been. I laughed it off and figured it was just one night, so it was fine. With the lights on, though, I could see that the room really wasn't very clean. The bed was rumpled and the duvet cover had spots of a crusty reddish brown substance in a couple of spots. The walls were scuffed up, and there were dirty- hand marks and smears of random grossness in places. The floors were dirty enough that I ran next door to Dollar Tree and bought flip flops, and Clorox wipes to wipe down things I'd need to touch. Later when I went to get into the shower, I saw that it was dingy and had mold growing on the caulking in several places, and the drain was covered in hair. The complimentary shampoo and conditioner bottles were only about half full. When I turned the shower water all the way to hot to heat the water, it got nice and hot, but then when I started backing it off towards cool to regulate the temperature, the water would shut off completely--you could have a totally hot shower, or a totally cold shower--no water would run at all when you adjusted between the two extremes. Needless to say, this was not a good stay. I got up and out of there as soon as I could the next morning, and just went and killed time in Brunswick until my appointment at 11:30. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all. The whole experience was a mess. read more

This hotel was great. The amenities were surprising and so useful. My kids loved the life sized chess in the back as well as the mini golf hole. Little things like this are so useful after a long drive with kids. The pool was small but fine. They even have an outdoor kitchen with two grills and a sink for guests to make dinner. We had a room with a kitchenette which was nicely equipped. The deluxe queen was perfect for everyone (family of 4) to have space to sleep in their own beds. Breakfast was better than most. Coffee was good! Good food in Brunswick for dinner. This was just a great stay. read more

Nightmare. Room was filthy. Only one of the two elevators was working (another guest told me that both been broken down, but one was fixed). Calling the front desk from your room is pointless. It's a constant busy signal. Alarm in my room was left on & jolted me out of bed at 6am (Another guest told me the same happened to them). Lights by the bed are mounted on the wall over five feet high ALONG WITH the on/off switch that controls them. If you're in the bed, you can't reach the switches. The only way to find and turn off a ringing alarm is to get out of bed to turn on the lights. You're not going back to sleep after that. Old woman who checked me out sat there, without making eye contact, and ignored me while I complained about the filth in my room and the alarm left on. She actually seemed to find it humorous that I was upset. I worked in the hotel and travel industry for many years. This old woman's refusal to offer any compassion or empathy to a traveler who needed to sleep, or a guest who has experienced a filthy room, is unacceptable. This hotel remains in business because it is a dog hotel. If you like sharing one crowded elevator with fighting dogs while you are trying to pack your car; if you like filth and a snarky old woman who couldn't care less, this is the hotel for you. read more

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was spacious and modern. 2 queen beds, with luggage and a dog. There was still extra room to get around. Unfortunately they could use more lighting in their rooms. Bathroom was clean and updated. The AC, for once, a hotel a doesn't allow you to stop the AC @ 65. AM Saturday bfast was great. Sunday's bfast didn't settle right. A dog friendly hotel. I've stayed here a couple of time going from FL to NC and back. It's a pretty new hotel so everything is still pretty nice. The location is convenient right off of I95 and lots of food options around the hotel. A big plus for me is they have 4 EV parking spot where you can charge your EV. This is one of the reasons I choose this hotel. Saves me a stop waking up full charged. Also the beds are very good. I can't stand bad beds in hotels and these are nice. Breakfast is pretty good, although there is also a Waffle House right down the street so I usually go there. Overall decent hotel. I gave it one less star because it's a bit pricier than other hotels. If it was maybe like 20% cheaper it would definitely be 5 stars. read more

You will expect more quality for the rates you are paying. 4th floor rained in the room. 2 elevator but just one working If you travel for work and you need a desk and light to work you just can't . Good news is that they are dog-friendly for an extra $25/night fee. Bad news is that their "dog rooms" are all on the 1st snd 2nd floors and the rooms are pretty beat up, stained, damaged, chipped, and had my dog running around the room like crazy for the first hour, and then all night long, sliding around the scratched up floors, smelling what I'm guessing are smells and who knows what else from previous dogs that were never cleaned. No carpets. Drain flies flying around the gross slimy kitchenette sink drain, had to cover it with a coffee filter; and drippy kitchen faucet had to be adjusted to stop dripping. Breakfast eggs are inedible, and I've eaten hotel scrambled eggs everywhere, but this was mystery yellow mush. Finding a breakfast table that wasn't smeared and dirty took a while by process of elimination. There are cigarette butts all over the grounds. Trash cans I overflowing. Hotel is new, but it's a gross place and we'll never stay here again. Maybe the non-dog carpeted rooms are worth it because the rooms themselves are spacious with 2 TVs. Don't know why the beds are so high, not very convenient for people under say 5'10", but once you get into the bed it was comfortable. Bottom of our room door fell off and was laying n the hallway floor as we were leaving. read more

Just stayed there with our softball team and we were checking beds and we took the cushions off of the pull out couch and there was dog food all in the couch and stuck to the mattress. My mom had dog food in her room in plain sight on the floor. (We didn't have any dogs). There was a dead roach in the stair well. The whole hotel was so hot except in the rooms. The elevators smelled terrible and so did other areas in the hotel. The pool was cloudy and didn't smell clean. read more

This occurred when I went to book our fourth stay at this hotel. The clerk argued that my service dog was not a service dog and I would have to pay $30 per night per fee. I have ADA registration, my needs are in the ADA guidelines, and I carry the credentials. This time were going to stay ten days. This is the only hotel I have ever had this problem with. When I asked for the manager, she told me she was "in charge". I have her name, but I'll never stay there again. I have close to 20,000 points I will never use. read more

Actually better than I expected. As a dog owner I was super happy to see the large grassy area, doggy bags and back gates entrance. While we got in late, the front desk concierge Andrew was an absolute delight. He was helpful and very thoughtful. Beds were comfy, lobby was spacious, rooms were pretty quiet and overall it was a positive experience. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the shower was not clean. Decided to stay here simply because they offered a couple of Tesla charging stations at no charge so I figured I would sleep for a few hours while my car charged for free! Check in process was OK but when I reached my room it had no electricity so I had to go back down & request a change of room. Once I got back up again to another room it was mostly clean but there were crumbs on the carpet but I was so tired I just didn't care anymore. not easy to go up and down at 2 o'clock in the morning! I was hoping to sleep at least 6 hours but unfortunately the alarm clock was set by whoever stayed in the room previously & so once the alarm went off at 6 AM I couldn't go back to sleep. La Quinta, you really need to train your staff not only to clean the rooms better but to shut the alarm clocks off!!!!!. I came in at 2 AM & was simply too tired to think of checking the alarm clock. read more

At first everything was really nice. I was stuck here while my car was getting repaired. I booked my first night through booking.com. Told the front desk I needed to stay an extra two nights. Was told I didn't need to do a check out as they would just charge the card on file. I get my credit card statement the following month and not only was I charged through booking.com for the first night but La Quinta charged me for all three nights on their own so I paid for four nights when I only stayed for three. This happened at the end of March. I've tried unsuccessfully since then for somebody to call me back, I've tried disputing it with my credit card company to no avail. I'm filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General in Georgia. read more

Disappointed. I've stayed at this hotel many times in the past on my trips to see family. It was my go to place. After not traveling for the last three years, I was shocked at the condition of the room. It was dirty and maintenance is obviously fallen by the wayside now. This used to be pristine, clean and great. Now, I won't be staying there anymore. They now also impose a $25 pet fee -used to not be one. Still a modest fee or a pet. But, the dirty floors from the lobby, elevator, to the rooms. Baseboard areas peeling and stained. Shower door was filthy, shower head needs attention, trash on the floor, the disposable makeup towelette had been opened and used and still on display by the sink. It was a full night at the hotel so no other rooms and we were so tired, we went to bed which that did look like the sheets had been changed. Other than the sheets changed, we do not believe house tending was done between prior guests and us. Disappointing to see after what it used to be. read more

This is a new hotel that just opened. The rooms are very dark and modern. Needed to have non feathered pillows because of allergies, they didn't have them, which lead to a non comfortable night. Not one of my favorite places compared to other La Quinta Inn's. read more

I really want to give a rave review of this motel as it is beautiful and the staff are awesome from the front desk manager to the breakfast attendant. This is a new and beautifully decorated. The room we stayed in was brand new, clean and the beds were very comfortable. We awoke to a hot and tasty breakfast with a large assortment of items on the bar. The breakfast attendant kept everything well stocked. A motel can be beautiful but if the employees are not friendly then a stay after a long trip can be ruined but not this hotel as this one has the most accommodating , friendly employees I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Front desk staff was fantastic. Always really friendly and willing to help out our party. Didn't have any issues, breakfast was always kept up in the mornings. Rooms looked great. Lobby always had coffee and lemon water filled. Fitness room setup was excellent (dumbells, a bench, a machine, and 2 treadmills + towels) for being in a hotel. The pool was wonderful at night, and the fireplace and backyard setup was very unique. Even had a giant chess set in the back. No complaints. read more

We stayed at the La Quinta Inn and Suites in Brunswick, Georgia for two nights. That included myself (grandmother, three children, ages 9, 12, and 14, and two golden retrievers. What a wonderful stay we had at this Inn! The individuals working the front desk were always pleasant and helpful. We were made to feel welcome and special. We needed some extra towels and sheets for the pull-out bed, and they were very quick in getting those items for us. The breakfast had many options and the food was tasty. The rooms were perfect for those of us with furry family members. The foyer provided many places to sit and relax and enjoy a cup of lemon water, which was always on hand. There were also pleasant places outside designed to encourage socializing and relaxing. The pool was clean and enjoyable. Although we didn't use the weight room, it appeared to have lots of equipment if you are looking to maintain your routine while on vacation. I'd like to give the place 10 stars, but alas, 5 is the most. It was an amazing stay from the moment we arrived until we sadly had to leave!
