This gym used to be very enjoyable, it has great machines and is generally clean. However, over the…read morelast year it has become overcrowded and practically unusable. On any given day or time there are anywhere from 3-6 trainers on the main floor (not the training room). This takes up a significant portion of the gym (especially during peak hours) making it impossible to get anything done. Secondly, I found the staff to be very inattentive and condescending, especially the managers, when speaking to them about questions or concerns. The staff are also often seen chatting in groups or ignoring unruly teenagers. This gym has become more of a social club than a place to work on health and fitness. If you are looking for somewhere to get a good workout in, I suggest you spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

It was a great combo of HIIT style exercises - both cardio and lifting with varying weights so adjust for strength. I loved how hands on Coach Eric was - constantly giving demos, offering tips, and checking on all the clients throughout the workout. The group was great - everyone was friendly and encouraging, exactly what you want in small group fitness! It sounds like this gym also offers personal training throughout the week. They said I need to come in person to sign up and activate the deal. When I got there, the reception desk told me they couldn't offer the deal to the visitor from out of state. I was so confused and angry as they could have said the same thing over the phone when I had called to enquire about the deal. I would have gone to some other gym. I had to pay $30 to use the facility. Such a bad customer service. The gym was good. They have good workout space and good locker room facilities including steam, sauna and hot tub. Steam and hot tub are cohead. So prepare to bring bathing suits. If the customer service was good, they would absolutely get higher rating.

The owners JD and Troy are so welcoming and friendly and they seem to remember everyone. I got recommendations on wraps, gloves, etc. when I decided I wanted to really get into this. I go 1-2x a week and have really enjoyed getting into a new sport/hobby. The coaches are just the right amount of serious and goofy to keep people learning but also having fun. They do a good job of managing varying class sizes with people at all different levels. I've met a lot of other nice and welcoming members of the gym through the classes too. People of all different ages and backgrounds come here so it's always very diverse with who you are working out around. But everyone seems to fit in and get the attention they need in order to improve their skills. The first class is free so I definitely recommend checking this place out!

I stopped by but didn't get a tour since it was late. I did speak with Steve several times about my pain and history and what exactly we were going to do in the pool. We spoke several times and he was always professional, caring, honest and friendly. I'm planning on starting aquatic therapy before May. I can say I give Steve 5/5 after speaking with him. I'll post update after my first day of treatment.

Pros: Great staff…read more Great energy. Class members are supportive. Classes and workouts are easy to follow but always challenging. You'll never outgrow the system. The app allows you to track progress and has daily workouts easy to do at home. It's worth the money if you show up at least 5 days each week. Cons: There's a published "fine" for cancelling a class too late or no showing but the Timonium location has doubled it. This mostly affects the 6 & 7 am classes and early weekend classes. I will note if you have a one time legitimate reason to miss unexpectedly you can ask for forgiveness. Recently they've increased the class maximum size but the space the gym is in can't really handle the extra people and it often feels too crowded when they jam the class.
