It's a real shame. We went into the dealership this past Saturday to buy a motorcycle with cash in pocket. We were met at the greeting desk with a short haired, heavy set, manly female who should never work in the public, customer service sector. She was not friendly at all and some what smart mouthed. We ignored her behavior and walked to the bike I was interested in. There were lots of employees, yet there was no one interested in selling a bike. We left after 30 minutes. Terrible service. Long story short, purchased a bike from a shady guy who no longer works there. Did business with both him and the finance guy Gene, who is incompetent, untrustworthy, lacks communication skills and was very pushy regarding the sale. 21 Aug, I signed to have my warranty cancelled. It is 14 Feb and still yet to receive my refund. Have been back and forth with HD financial and HD of Emerald Coast. I gave now spoken with Gene, Keisha and a new manager named Evan I believe. Spoke with Evan over 2wks ago in which he stated, "I'll get it handled." He hasn't handled shit. Gus really knows how to pick his employees. It's sad bc Big Gus Tractors has THE BEST guys over there. Those guys need to conduct training for HD employees in how to communicate and handle employees. Almost 7mos later, still waiting on a refund or a call back. I can say more about their sales tactics but it's way too much to write. They have some shady guys over there. Beware. Maybe this is why they have 2.9 rating on Yelp. I'll be posting this same message on their Google as well. read more

Went to Emerald Coast Harley today. I wanted parts for 2000 Sportster. This was my sixth and last trip there since the place was built. I walked in with Harley part numbers in hand. Nothing fancy, a primary chain adjustment shoe, magnetic plug for the primary and a spring. They had NOTHING on hand. Which was the norm from my previous visits. They would order aftermarket parts from China for me. Red the service/parts manager looked up the parts and said they had used none of those since 2019. I wonder what they use for parts for normal servicing? Emerald Coast Harley is a T-shirt shop with very expensive window dressing! I do not recommend! read more

09/21/24. If you asked me 6 months ago to write a review I would've probably trashed this place and everyone in it. As a person who has bought now 4 bikes from them. The last 2 experiences were AWFUL . Why did I go back another 2 times? I guess ignorance, and the fact a salesman had texted us deals that apparently when we got there couldnt be made! BUT my husband and I went to visit James today. If yall don't know James he's probably the best reason to go to Harley. However, this time we actually did go in and walked out with a Road Glide. To our salesman Chris, thank you for being so laid back and NOT pushy. To Chrissy, thank you for understanding we can't spend 650$ a month on a bike and working hard to get us the best monthly deal! Dani, the signing process was a BREEZE. Gene, thank you for being so upbeat and excited to announce our purchase. Larry and Gus, Continue to do what you are doing. Continue to hire the people you are hiring because it HAS made a difference. Happy to report our local dealer is turning around and actually started caring about the passion people have for bikes. I went into this shop for a tune up. Signed the 500 dollar "no call back" and obviously right away received a call wanting me to spend more unnecessary money on things that didn't need to be done. The holy grail of it all was when they said my head gasket and the lifter block needed to be replaced (Motor has 15,000 miles on it). Before the employee was done with his sentenced he made sure to let me know that the parts were 6 months out but i could have an 11,000 dollar new motor installed in a week. I told them no and went to another bike shop. They told me after checking the compression that i didn't have a leak in any of the gaskets. They also said that they order parts from the same place that Harley does and they could have the parts here in 2 days. Harley also scratched my saddle bags when they were working on it. Whoever from harley that is reading this and wanted my 120R engine, bite me. I never read the reviews until after this terrible treatment. I really wish i did. I dont recommend this place to anybody. read more

Bradley in service was great. Listened to my concerns and kept me informed pointing out a couple safety issues that they ended up taking care of for me. While waiting I ended up having a conversation with Ki in sales. She has a wealth of knowledge and I was surprised by the amount of forward thinking that Harley Davidson is building into their products. With that said the inventory at this dealership is over the top. Laidback, approachable professional folks with a wealth of knowledge. Some friends and I visited this dealer during pcb bike week. There was a lady in our group that was having issues with her street bob so she decided to trade. She had only been riding a year and wanted to upgrade to a street glide. She didn't have her endorsement so she couldn't test drive. We tried to convince her to wait but the salesmen just kept pushing her to buy. The weather wasn't looking to good either. So again we tried to get her to wait. One of the salesman took out his phone to convince her the weather would be fine. I have never been to such an unethical dealerships...ever. read more

I bought a 2018 Harley Certified used model.11,000 miles on the clock. I paid the extra $900 fee for the 100 point inspection. I also paid for the extended warranty. The motorcycle I purchased had the check engine light come on day one. The very day it was delivered. One week later and I am here once again, same code, bike back in the shop. Communication has been abysmal. Customer care has been non existent. The service department has been helpful. But they can only do so much. read more

They got me again. My son in law like to get Harley stuff for Christmas presents every year. The wife got a Harley jacket that doesn't fit very well and I got some shoes that were uncomfortable. He bought the stuff at the Harley dealer in Pensacola. This store wont swap it out cause it wasn't bought there. This is the second time we have been through this. We have no problem in Pensacola. They are nice as they can be but it is a long drive. Don't buy presents at these Harley shops. They are local dealers that don't like to exchange items that weren't purchased in house. I have never tried it the other way. The people in Pensacola seem a little happier with your business. The Fort Walton store seems like they are doing you a favor. read more

We rolled through the local Harley Davidson shop to grab a pocketed t-shirt for my dear old dad, as he collects them. We found it fairly easily; however, the traffic pattern to actually get into the parking lot sucked. Once we did a double u-turn [yes, a double] then we were good to go. The store was huge inside! Very clean, everything was neat and organized, easy to find what you need - as it should be in this chain. Prices were a bit higher than other shops, which I found a bit odd - but what I remember most about this experience wasn't the traffic confusion, cleanliness, the inventory or even the price inflation. We were never greeted. We were never assisted. We waited at the counter to be helped, unacknowledged by the girl at the counter who was detailing the previous nights experiences of breaking up with her boyfriend to another employee. We now know all about their drama with the ex-girlfriend and their child and how unfair it is that he spends more time with them, and how she felt neglected....but we were never even noticed. Finally the employee she was talking to looked at us and said, "Do you need something?" If I didn't love my dad so much then we would have left. Granted, the loss of a $30 t-shirt sale wouldn't make them flinch - but it's the freaking principle. We will surely be back to visit Fort Walton Beach on an annual basis - but this one Harley shop will never be on our list of stops OR recommendations, that's for sure. read more

Don't purchase their warranty, and if you make the mistake of doing so, read the fine print and don't let them tell you what it covers or does not cover. I ride the 250 miles from Lake City to Ft Walton and went to the counter for my service. The nice lady at the counter told me how much it was going to cost, so I said the warranty I purchased was supposed to include scheduled services for a term of 4 years. I was then told "that's a different warranty." So I canceled my no coverage warranty. read more

Be aware they claim to be a DSRP dealership. Plenty of good Harley-Davidson MSRP dealerships out there. More antics by these smaller dealerships, you should have no problem getting a MSRP price at a larger dealership where they are pushing 25+ bikes a month. Had booked this location for rider's course by accident. Called them immediately and let them know. The lady who answered said no worries and I would be refunded and it should be back in mu account in 3-5 days. Never got my money back and have tried calling three times and can never get the "person" who is authorized to refund. I am all about second, third, even fourth chances. We are all human and we all have bad days. But, a repeated behavior and repeated disrespect proves that you do not care. Let me explain. I went here one day with my wife and kids and explained that I just wanted to look and had no intention of buying. The sales person refused to leave us alone. It was so bad we just left without looking. About 4 months later I returned with the intent to buy. I met a great sales person named Angela. But, it was late and I had to come back on a weekend. Angela wasn't going to be there so the sales manager, Matt said he would take care of me. When I returned I was there for 7 hours and didn't leave until 10pm. I was treated like a second class person. I even thought I made it easy 21k with a 6% interest rate out the door price. Matt accepted that offer and off to the finance table I went. Mysteriously there were additional charges and the math didn't add up. I asked him to make good on what we discussed and refused. He stated it would be another 2k. I should have walked away and went to the Harley dealer in Panama City. But, I agreed and signed the papers. I get home and find that they snaked me again by changing my interest rate to 7.86%. I immediately contacted my bank to refinance. I know I should have been more thorough and less trusting. After about a month my son, 17, showed an interest in getting his motorcycle endorsement and started saving his part time wages to buy a bike. He saved enough for the basic safety course and signed up. We get there that day and again, mysteriously, they try demanding my son pay another $200 or leave right then. We tried pleading our case to Matt and Susie. Matt berated me in the middle of the sales floor. He kept saying that that there seems to be a lot of miscommunications. Yes, Matt, there does, that happens when you are dishonest. I let him finish and told him very respectfully that he would not have to worry about that happening again. Of course, we can't miscommunicate if we don't do business. The money my son saved to buy a bike on Monday will not be spent at your dealership. I will let my rider friends know and use your poor customer service as an example of how not to treat people. read more

Went to the store to purchase a Low Rider S with a stage 4. First I want to give a shout out to MIKE.... AKA Shadow and Stanley aka STAN THE MAN! They are awesome. Shadow took me on two test rides and wasn't pushy. He was extremely helpful and honest. Stanley worked his butt off at the parts counter, putting roughly $5k worth of parts and labor together for this bike I was going to purchase.... Joe had me hooked when he said he'd take care of me because their main goal was to build relationships with customers; bringing them into the Harley Davidson community through trust and loyalty. Well.... he and Justin wanted wanted to charge me $7K more than the bike was worth. When I told them that seemed pretty high and I wanted to run these numbers by my cousin who works at Southern Thunder HD, they cut the price $4k and tried to pressure me into a deal that day. They offered a $500 gift card if I took the deal. I politely declined, told them this was my first Harley and I just wanted to do some of my own research, and that I would come back tomorrow no matter what. My cousin got back to me and informed me they were still up-charging me several thousand dollars. I went back in to renegotiate, but they were not having it. Justin, their finance guy, was really rude and refused to honor the same deal that they had offered me 12 hours prior. They are clearly more worried about making money that very day than making loyal customers like they claim. Its a shame they lost out on a $29k sale with financing and $5k in parts and labor all over a couple hundred dollars. I am a man of principle and know that my money spends just as good elsewhere. I'll just buy the same bike from one of the other local dealers or through my cousin at Southern Thunder. This dealer also puts down all their surrounding dealers, which should have been a red flag, but I gave them benefit of the doubt. Joe and Justin should probably try treating customers like they enjoy their business and not like they are doing US a favor. Shadow and Stanley, thank you for all your help; it was a pleasure working with you guys. Five stars for their customer service, but I will never do business with this Harley Davidson dealer. read more

In December 2020 he gave me a nice jacket and I went to change for another and they did not accept the change because they did not find the name of the person who bought it, the lady who attends in Fort Walton said that I should go to Pensacola and find out if they helped me there . After 20 hours of motorcycle training and getting our licenses I told my gorgeous husband he should get a Harley and be a sexy biker. Who buys their husband a motorcycle? Maybe a few girls. Who buys their husband a harley? This girl! We initially shied away from this location due to the lackluster reviews here on yelp. Granted they were from 2011... we decided to make this our last stop. Lunchtime on a Saturday this location was hopping. We were immediately greeted, and I was up front with our budget. I knew exactly how much I was willing to spend, and honestly was not sure if I could afford a Harley. Luckily for me there was an almost new white sportster custom on consignment, and the seller was willing to work with us. After a test drive in the parking lot, a call to USAA (they beat Harley's rates by almost 5 points) a snicker's bar, and 3 hours, we signed on the dotted line and I got to ring the bell. They delivered to my house free of charge 2 days later, and went over everything we needed to know about our new ride. Friendly, clean- give this place a chance. I really enjoyed my first motorcycle buying experience. Even though I'll be driving a Vespa :P read more

From what I understand, this place is under new ownership now so maybe some of the issues people experienced in the past are gone. I was vacationing in nearby Destin and decided to rent a bike for the day. I found the staff very courteous and helpful with all my questions. My only complaint was there was a ton of paperwork to rent a bike. I rented a 2014 Fat Boy Lo, and found the bike in excellent condition. I rented same-day, and since it was the off season I had no issues. I would recommend setting up a reservation first if you're traveling during the busy season. read more

Bought my Dad a bike last year and after having issues with finding hidden charges and a lying sales manager, my Dad just called and told me that he was putting a backrest on his bike when he noticed one of the shocks on his bike was installed UPSIDE DOWN. So he has to take it off and install it correctly to get the backrest on. Horrible place. 90% of their online reviews are bad. Doesn't make much sense to keep a business open if you're not pleasing your customers. I wouldn't buy a .99 cent sticker from them. Rant over. read more

Gotta say I was extremely disappointed in the sales guy I was dealing with here. I'm on military orders from California and I just started riding so I wanted to rent and ride while I was here. But for one month of rental it would be the same price as buying a less expensive motorcycle, and that's with the good deal the the rental agent Jeanine was getting me, so I decided to consider buying. She was pretty good and helpful but she missed the mark in setting me up with the wrong guy for the job. I wasn't sure of the bike I wanted and I wanted it to have some specific modifications that I was interested in. When it comes down to it the sales guy Gene quotes me an additional 12 grand for everything that I want. And the numbers just didn't add up or make sense to me. This is of course with my military discount and the cash price because I was getting a loan. So I call another store and they add the same things but somehow they give me a price that's 7 grand less than his quote... He wanted to assure me that he wasn't jerking me around Even got a little hostile when I pointed out the fact that I could add and adding all of the numbers up doesn't come up to the price that he wanted to charge me. Needless to say he missed his mark and I'm actually glad I wasn't stupid enough to take his price without checking with another shop. I would not recommend this Harley shop to anyone in the military or even a civilian. When I went in for my first quote I looked at the huge poster on the wall that staged zero down for military and reduced pricing and everything. But when they gave me a quote they wanted me to put 6 grand down. So don't advertise something if you aren't actually going to help your service members out. Steer away from this place if you are on a base nearby, I recommend taking the 40 minute drive to another shop and save yourself about 6 grand. Jeanine was nice and friendly though but other than don't even consider this place especially if you are in the military. The other shops actually give you the military discount they advertise. Or if you do have to stop in, don't talk to gene. read more

Do not even bother with this store. You are much better off heading to the Pensacola location. First run in with the Fort Walton location was during the purchase. Wanted to customize, was told they wouldn't before purchase yet Pensacola was more than happy to. So Pensacola got the sale. Also purchased the service plan. Wanted to give Fort Walton another chance as they are somewhat closer. Called them to see if they honored the service plan if the bike was bought elsewhere and was told yes. Upon picking up the bike was promptly charged over $300 for the 1,000 maintenance check up. Told them was informed when making appointment was told would be covered, still charged. Done giving Fort Walton an opportunity for improvement they say they have been making. read more

This is for the service department. Tom has always been my service representative. My 2011 Electraglide limited needed major work to the engine and later had the stage one upgrade. Tom is always professional and listens to customer concerns. Quality of work was excellent by the service techs. Had my Electraglide converted to a Trike by another company. Conversion went well but after stopping for gas and turning ignition switch to start, it popped up in pieces in my hand. Put it back only to jam the ignition switch. Tom and his team fit me in and fixed my bike. Can't thank them enough for a job well done. Bike runs great because of this service department. read more

My second visit here and again, the place is dead. Yea its a Monday but still. Fails in comparison to my last Harley dealer I got my hog from. No more Saturday trips to Harley for me. The salesmen that worked with me, Brian, was very personable and took a vested interest in getting to know me and he took his time helping me find what I wanted. I would without a doubt recommend Brian to anyone if your looking for a classy salesmen who cares more about people than money. Brian has constantly followed up with me as well and I can tell he really cares about his people. He was a class act and I could tell he genuinely cared about my experience. After we came to an agreement, Craig, the sales manager, had me join him in his office and provided some welcomed mentorship as he has had some awesome experiences and a lot of knowledge to share.
