I got here at 8:30. It's 11:00 still waiting to see a doctor. Another half hour in the back room before seeing anybody.

I have lived here for 30 years, spent a lot of time in Bay Meds ER with clients and their families…read more We have always had great care. My husband was admitted through the ER needed open heart surgery the next day. Dr England was his surgeon and everything went without a hitch. He had great care, fantastic nurses and great food while he was in there. I have spent a lot of time at both hospitals and I prefer Bay. However, not a fan of "Select" your "Acute Care" is more about your insurance than your needs. and not a fan of the old second floor in Bay Med, not enough CNA's people go days and days without being bathed. I had to bring outside staff to bath and shave my client after he grew a full beard in there.

A nurse named Candy Kandi Kandee however the nutball b!t$h spell it . She told my son in front of me that she had heart patience who do not cry and moan as much as my son does. She also told my son he brought the shooting on his self and she also stated she has her own problems. She's been sick and throwing up all day, but she's here taking care of him. When she was moving my son from the chair to the bed she allowed it his chest tubes to be pulled out. She also told him the improper way to sit she told a Patient with chest tubes to bend down "exact words bow like you're bowing to a king". She's the worst nurse ever mean and hateful a lot of the staff is really biased but what can you expect doctors and nurses working in a low property community located in Florida. Most of the staff there act super weird like they got a demonic possession or something, you will know them by the horns they try to hide but they horns actually show. I do thank the few that truly helped my son and showed common human decency+ https://photos.app.goo.gl/SuCwQXEHXUHRe32k9

Bay Medical Center - Clients are not cared about. Seems political play a huge role. Worker just coughing and spreading the flu and never checked in. Privileged

In the past 2 weeks I have made 2 attempts to make an appointment. The office staff has…read moredisregarded my requests both times. The first time I called in because I had a cough deep in my lungs that I feared felt like pneumonia. I explained this to the nurse that answered the phone and I requested an appointment. She said she would have to pull my file and ask the doctor before getting me in. She said she would call me back shortly. I waited 3 hours for them to get back before I called to follow up. When I called back the nurse said it was too late in the day (it was 3:30 in the afternoon) and maybe I should try going to a walk-in clinic. First, I would prefer seeing my primary care physician because she has my history; and second, the co-pay for a walk-in clinic is almost twice what I pay to see my primary care physician! (the nurse knows that) I tried again, thinking the experience I had was a fluke. I followed the procedure this office sent me regarding scheduling my appointments on-line. I went to the website and selected the next available appointment time. When I arrived for my appointment the nurse snickered and said they would never have scheduled me for that time because it was too late in the day, so I obviously didn't have an appointment. The nurse was rude! I told her I wanted to wait and chat with Dr. Awantang to tell her about my experience. The nurse proceeded to 'block' for the doctor by running back to her and then coming back and saying she had just gone in with another patient and I would need to leave. I will NEVER go back there again. That nurse (receptionist) should be fired for the attitude she displays towards patients.
