Did absolutely nothing for me. I fell at work and fractured my left shoulder (seen and diagnosed in ER immediately after the fall). Have to see this Urgent Care because it's a Workman's Comp. contract with my company. The NP told me to go back to work the next day with a sling. Would not order an MRI or order pain medication. Never saw a doctor. The NP did order ortho consult, but for a "fractured radius"...not even the correct bone. She changed it to "fractured humerous" still misspelled it. She told me to go back to work with a fractured shoulder but wanted to see me in a week for the bruise on my face!!! Totally incompetent and dangerous. I woke this morning with a swollen eye and thought I had pink eye. I saw April Beltran, a Nurse Practitioner, and she took a look at it and it wasn't pink eye but an angry tear duct (not a medical term). She called in my prescription right away and I was on my way, in and out in less than an hour. I typed my email in incorrectly and the nice receptionist said she would fix it for me. Spare yourself the misery and drive the extra 20 minutes to beachside. Always have to wait a minimum of 45 minutes in the waiting room, and then an additional hour waiting after being called back to see anyone. I also can't begin to express how frustrating it is that they are texting me asking me to send them emails of photos of all of my IDs when I'm literally sitting 5 feet away from them in the lobby and they could just ask in person. I'm the only one here. They are not busy. So far, my check in process is at 36 minutes. Just waiting for another text from them asking for something. read more

Other than having to get a shot in the butt, This place is as good as it gets! The staff were all extremely friendly and the place was up to date and very clean. I went here for a bad cold I had for like 2 weeks. I didn't call ahead or make any kind of an appointment, just walked right in and was helped within 5 minutes. The Dr was going to prescribe some pretty expensive meds but to save me a little money he gave a few samples (which turned out to be more than enough) to save me a little bit of money. He was pretty understanding and caring... Thats a quality that most places are missing today. The next time my immune system lets me down Ill be back for another shot in the butt! read more

I visited Coastal Urgent Care 9/1/2020 for a cat bite that became infected in my hand. I had just gotten off of work and was rushing to be seen. When I arrived, I asked someone to please help me, because I was in so much pain. The front desk receptionist informed me that they did not accept patients after 4, so that staff could leave at 5pm. I had arrived at 4:20pm and there is no announcement stating that they deny patients anywhere on their business page. The receptionist looked at another lady (did not look me in the eye), and said no. I was denied care. For anyone looking for quality care - and you want to be treated with respect, decency and like a human, go to Emerald Coast Urgent Care. Their staff is kind and friendly. They had me taken care of in 20 mins with my meds sent to my local pharmacy. They did NOT deny me healthcare and they are open until 8pm and will treat patients until 8pm. read more

Went here recently for some stitches. Obviously, as with any medical services the wait time will vary depending on that day's volume, but for me it was a very short wait. The staff was great. The stitches were skilled and swift, and I didn't even feel the tetanus shot. read more

Have been to this urgent care several times over the past few years. Used to recommend them but won't anymore. Last time I actually saw a doctor she was very good and thorough. One time I attempted to go I was told they had stopped seeing patients for the day! This was around noon. Tried to go today but waited for 45 mins and they had only called one person back to see the doctor. Watched three people leave though. Also, signed in on there tablet and filled out the info online from the text that was sent to me but then had to fill out all the same stuff on paper after doing it online. I walked in at 5:36pm with my 3 yr old who had a fever of 103 for 3 days. This urgent care is open until 7pm and they turned my child away saying they weren't seeing anymore patients. They had 3 people in the waiting room and were open another hour and a half. There was NO reason for them to have turned my child away other than they wanted to get off early. In the healthcare field, you have to put others before yourself and can usually expect to not get off on time. That's how it goes. I'm disgusted by these employees. I can not imagine turning away a feverish toddler while still open. I'm so mad I was crying. As if there's many other options for cars around here! read more

They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. Arrived at 4:03 on Sunday January 12th. Per two signs posted on their front door they accept the last patient at 4:15 (they close at 5 on Sundays). I ran in to ask the front desk girl if they were still accepting patients (my husband who was needing care waited in the car). She told me very rudely they stop taking patients at 4 and there was nothing she could do. Keep in mind the waiting room was completely empty and we drove 45 minutes from Mexico Beach to get there at 4:03! When I reminded her the sign out front says 4:15 she replied sharply ok I'll let the office manager know to update the sign. As we were pulling out the doctor in his brand new yellow corvette with license plate "DRSAID" pulled off. So rude, so disrespectful, another sign of healthcare professionals doing the bare minimum. Ended up going to bay county ER and we were in and out in 20 minutes. read more

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. It is clear that they are more interested in their personal time schedules than they are in helping a patient. When told that if you get there before 6 they will see you only to find out that that is not the case at all. This place should be shuttered. They close at 7pm. I fought rush hour traffic to arrive at 6:03pm with a serious case of bronchitis in need of "urgent" care. There was 1 person waiting and 2 employees staffing. They turned me away, saying they would not allow anyone to sign in after 6pm. If you have anything medical or urgent, good luck. I recommend you avoid this place like the plague. The "help" is only interested in their own convenience. Not in patient care. read more

Today was my 3rd visit to Coastal Urgent are in Lynn Haven. Unfortunately the service/care has gone downhill each time I have returned. The other 2 times I was there they have done what they needed to do to get me fixed up an on my - way which is fine - that's what they do. Today was a different story. I made an appt. to be seen for some upper respiratory cold symptoms I was having. Even though I had to wait past my appt. time they were still pretty quick at getting me back. The young woman who took my vitals was very friendly and professional. Wen she was done, she left me in the room to wait. About 10 minutes later she and another girl came back in with a breathing treatment - still very polite and professional. Next an older woman came in. She didn't introduce herself. She asked how I was feeling and I started to tell her when she interrupted me and asked if I was (boys name). No, I am clearly an older woman - not the little boy who was in the next room waiting to be seen. She said - "I'll be back in a minute". She then left my room an I heard her enter the next room and ask - "Are you ________? Good question. I wonder where she learned to ask that question? After another 10+ minutes the same older woman came in again. I was still completing the breathing treatment so she stood there and stared at me until it was mostly finished. No small talk. No reminders of how to do this...etc. Just staring. She must have gotten tired of staring at me because she finally turned it off even though it wasn't completely finished. Same woman - still don't know who she is. She asks me what is going on (same questions btw the other girl asked (here's a suggestion - READ THE NOTES!). She then, without warning climbs up on the step stool in between my legs to look in my throat, nose, and ears. Now, I'll, tell you - she was a small woman and needed to be up higher like that to complete her job, but a little notice would have been great. She then asked a couple of questions (I thought she was going to save it all right here). I answered, and then, get ready...She asked me what I wanted her to give me??? Well, I don't effing know. Aren't you the professional? Well maybe not since I still have no idea who you are! Now, I am old enough to know that whatever I have going on right now is probably going to need an antibiotic to knock it out so I said, "How about the strongest antibiotic you can give me that will knock this crap out once and for all?" So that's what she agreed to give me. Next, she stood looking at the breathing machine and stated that she would like me to have one. At this point she brought up using inhalers and asked if I had one? Assuming she was talking about a rescue inhaler I told her that I do have one, but I would need another if she wanted me to use it all the time. She left the room then and when she returned she had two boxes in her hands. She started opening one of the boxes and telling me about using it - this is the only time she mentioned that she was referring to a topical steroid inhaler. I stopped her and told her that I had one. This is when she decided to scold me because according to her "I told her I didn't have one". Really? When? And when were we EVER talking about the steroid type inhalers. Needless to say - this woman - whoever she was, is rude, obnoxious, and has the bedside manner of a rock. I won't be back. There are plenty of other places to go rather than put up with this kind of nonsense. I have been to an ENT surgeon who has a reputation for being abrupt with patients who had a better bedside manner than this nut! As for the rest of the staff, they were all friendly and mostly professional. Except for the gaggle of girls in the front office talking about how fat they were and their "beer bellies". Nice! Time to go home and go to bed! P.S. They didn't call in my prescriptions to my pharmacy like they said they would. I checked 3.5 hours after my appointment time and had to call back and ask them to call them in to the pharmacy. read more

I will never ever go back there again. This is the worse place ever! The front desk staff is rude and uneducated. They don't listen to you and don't communicate with each other. The fake doctors there are no better. They don't listen to you and can't properly treat you. They are over priced for the huge lack of service they offer. The PA was extremely rude upon entering the exam room immediately accusing me of neglect because I used the word "abscess" for my 5 year olds tooth/gum issue. I help my children brush their teeth regularly, they have never had a cavity, they visit the dentist every 6 months for check ups. I do not neglect my children at all. This was a jerk reaction to a word she saw in the chart without talking to me or looking at my child. As it turned out she had an irritation due to her first loose baby teeth and she needed an antibiotic, which is why I took her to the doctor. read more

We to Coastal Urgent Care on September 25, 2012 after suffering from a sore throat for 3 days. Tested for Flu and Strep, was told that both were negative. Paid my $99 and was sent to a nearby pharmacy to buy Saline Nasal Spray. Became severely worse over that weekend and On October 1st I called requesting a prescription and was transferred to the nurses line where I left a message begging for some kind of medication. An hour later a nurse called me back informing me there was a Z-pack waiting for me at my local pharmacy that would last 5 days. Picked up the Z-pack and started it that morning. The next day, I was feeling good enough to actually get out of bed, however this was false hope and I continued to decline. On October 5th I called requesting a new prescription and never received a call back. On October 11th I called and was told that I had to come back in, spend another $99 for the doctor to see if I had something else. Continued to decline. That same say, October 11th, I made a call to a well known respiratory specialist in Bay County that I have never been to before. Thinking because I was a new patient and it was the height of the cold season, there was no way I was going to get an appointment but they squeezed me in that same afternoon. For $80, I was given a breathing treatment, 2 prescriptions, 2 sample inhalers and a shot. It is now October 15th and I am feeling 90% better. I have a new doctor!!! I will NEVER use Coastal Urgent Care AGAIN. They need to remove URGENT from their name. Maybe if they cared for their patients they would not have to rent so many mobile storage units to advertise on. read more

I came in on a Saturday afternoon with an ear ache. I have insurance, and I paid my copay. The nurse forcefully shoved the ear flushing nozzle into my ear, hurting me and after the procedure the doctor stated there wasn't any signs of infection after the removal of ear wax. Three days later I check myself into the hospital E.R., with massive pain in my ear. I had a bad ear infection, and I felt my ear was bruised by the pervious nurse working at this location. I have not returned due to this fact. Now I have received a bill for a "new patient" fee, that's over $300 and my insurance has obviously declined. This fee was never mentioned, or communicated in any way other than a bill received a year after service. My insurance has already them paid over $400 for this one procedure, and now they want more after the fact. This is abusive in the medical industry. This an example as to why are insurance rates are so high, as well as why medical malpractice insurance is through the roof. I have the hospital bill to prove my statements.
