The grounds are very well maintained, it always feels safe and the staff/store is great. I saw another post about the lack of trails. There are trails, but the other review was correct, they are not the greatest. If you come to Collins Lake its usually for the lake experience. I will say, its a very popular place to camp and the campsites are generally right on top of each other. So the only drawback I have is that its a popular place and so you are usually rather close to other campers.
