We have been to this dealership 2 or 3 times over the last couple years to look at new and used diesel motorhomes. Unfortunately, we got the sense we weren't very important customers as we don't have the budget obviously many people do who purchase at this dealership. We also did not feel they would fairly negotiate with us on the price of our diesel pusher in order to trade in only offering low book and continually telling us they don't need to negotiate on Newmar products because they "sell themselves "! We didn't feel we were priority as the owner and other staff members would answer the phone while we were trying to negotiate with them as well as help other customers in the showroom while we sat in their office. We purchased a 2024 Dynamax Isata 5 30FW in late June and worked with Brent in Sales. This is not our first time purchasing an RV and we know it's a long process. We walked in without an appt and Brent was quick to show us what we were looking for and was extremely knowledgeable about the Dynamax products. There was no pressure on the Sales side to purchase, but we opted to put a deposit down to hold the rig we liked while we worked thru selling our 5th wheel and dually - which we ultimately traded in to them to make it easier for us. On the delivery day Nate had already worked thru the Finance side and had us pre-approved. They were easy to work with and very friendly. Even let us borrow a car to go grab lunch and come back. We love our new rig and had a successful maiden voyage a few weeks later. Unfortunately, prior to our next out of state trip we started having issues connecting to shore power. We had problems again this weekend with shore power and happened to be about an hour away from them at a campground with our RV club. We reached out to Brent late Thursday and worked out to bring it over Friday AM. When we arrived Tony and Tim immediately came out as Brent had told them we were on our way. We had a packed RV for our trip and our dog and within a few hours Tony and Tim figured out the issues and got us back up and running. Buyer beware! We had an awful experience trying to sell our RV. We were on vacation and decided to stop at this dealer to see if they would buy our RV. We were quoted a reasonable price and made the dicision to sell. We said we would be back in a week and got a commitment on the price. A week latter we called twice to confirm the price and were told the it was still good. We travelled 240 miles, procured a rental car and proceeded to Demartini's. When we arrived after a three hour drive we were lowballed on the price by thousands of dollars. After we complained they actually lowered the price they were willing to pay. I bought a 2022 Forest River trailer from these guys in April 28th of last year. I will always tell people about my experience with them YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR... I met with Jack at the Main st dealership, looked at a trailer, the Surveyor model, and came back with a cashiers check a day later. He told me after I gave him the check and signed the paperwork I couldn't take it because they had to do a pre sale quality inspection. A few days later I picked it up at their main dealership on Idaho Maryland rd and met with Jack and Tony. I bought a few things water line, sewer line, electric converter for the plug. Jack said he couldn't find an owners manual, he said the same thing at his office where I paid a few days earlier when he said he'd have one for me when I picked it up at the other location. The furnace never worked. Seems to have a short, the fuse sparks and pops as soon as it touches the panel. Pieces of the trim on the interior were not attached properly. Within weeks the countertops around the sinks started swelling, they're made of particle board. Poor choice to use around water. 2 of the window blinds failed within weeks. The shower curtain started separating from the frame within weeks. Toilet was mounted off center, this was noticeable from a glance. How about that pre sale "quality" inspection huh?!?! I didn't think too much about it because Jack told me there was a 12 month bumper to bumper warranty. I had just moved back to Ca and was working and house hunting so it took me a few months to call Tony to schedule the repairs. This is when Tony told me the seals around the countertops had a 90 day warranty. A few months later it started to rain. The roof was leaking in the back corner causing mold, visible damage to the ceiling and water staining. I called Tony again and again was told it was my problem as it also has a 90 day warranty. Jack said there was a 12 month bumper to bumper warranty and a 15 year warranty on the roof. Neither Jack nor Tony told me when I picked it up at their main yard the the roof "seals" had a 90 day warranty. I was never given an owners manual because Jack "couldn't find one" at his office or at DiMartini RV's main dealership. Mold and staining were also found in the storage area under the seats due to leaking in the slide out. I've only had this for about 10 months. I had an appt with the service dept to fix this pile in March but I've decided to cut my losses. They're the ones that supposedly did the pre sale "quality" insp. why would I trust them to do their job when they demonstrated they can't or won't when I paid $37k 10 months earlier? What could I expect now that I'm not giving them $$??? Now that I've closed escrow on a property I think I'll just burn this pile. I wish I could burn the memory of this out of my mind. They'll tell you 12 month bumper to bumper warranty and 15 year roof warranty but the truth is almost everything has a 90 day warranty and they don't tell you that. Roll the dice elsewhere. This place does bad business. DO NOT TRUST THEM. I don't believe this is the same trailer I was shown at the Main st dealership where Jack works. I think they did a bait and switch. read more

we were impressed with this establishment, the beautiful place and the easy going owners that seemed so trust worthy, so we let our guard down. we traded our 2019 Tiffin Bus with 2022 Newmar London Aire. although we were promised that the coach went thru rigorous inspection, in a brief check up, we found quiet few defects, including pass. window that was loose. supposedly they repaired it, but getting home, we found that the window was gone. They sent new one. After we took the coach home we found more defects that we repaired at our expense. when you call few days after the sale, good luck if you get any response. At least in my experience, dont even try txt or call Brent, he always busy, (doing what) never calls back. on our first trip we found that the front a/c didnt work. Jon claimed that it was working in their place. Really, what about the other obvious defects we found. I wonder what their definition of quality control is. read more

I could not get our slide to retract. I could not move the RV. I called left a message and believe it, Tim called us back. He went through a check list of items for me to try, but nothing was working. Finally he got us to manually close the slide. It was not easy. Tim called Tony to see if he could get us in the shop. Tony made arrangements for us to come in early morning. Tony and Tim met me. Fixed the RV. Come to find out Tony was on Vacation and still took care of us. We purchased a 2017 new from Demartini RV in Grass Valley. While the sales process and parts associates have been pleasant over the years (no complaints), Tony in the service department has been horrible. Over the years, while he is very knowledgeable, he rarely will answer or return phone calls (prefers emails). Recently, we were camping Presidents Day Weekend, about an hour from Grass Valley, and our slide was stuck in the open position. After speaking with Lipper multiple times (almost 2-hours in total) they asked to get in touch with the dealerships service department so we could better understand the electrical configuration. I called Service/Tony about 4 times and left 2 voicemails letting him know I was stuck in the RV park and needed some guidance to get the slide closed so I could check out of the campground. I could not get Tony or anyone from the service department on the phone (again, stuck in an RV park). I ended up finding a local mobile RV repair guy who did his best to assist ($600), but all we could do is pull the motors, manually try and put the slide in, and I ended up driving apx. 80 miles home with the slide open 8". It is now 2/22/25 and Tony has still not called me back. I am now looking for an A-class to replace my C and for this reasons listed above, I will NEVER purchase from, or recommend Demartini RV. read more

We bought a used 2016 Thor Palazzo 33.3 from this dealership and we couldn't be happier with the treatment and care they took with getting us on the road with a great, fully functioning, smooth riding diesel pusher. Dave in Sales walked us through it as well as a newer model, but this unit was a long time dream for us and the price was terrific. We've never seen as wide a selection of diesel pushers anywhere else! Brandon, their mechanic, was challenged after they did the initial check of everything, but was able to address: 1) the radio/camera/touchscreen unit failed to work, so he was able to replace that (no small feat), then 2) the right hand camera didn't work, and he had to re-fish the wiring to the passenger side rear view mirror camera from the camera display (again, no small feat). While Brandon worked on that, the Parts Manager helped my wife pick up everything we would need for our first road trip. We've had it out for a couple of week-long stays and couldn't be happier with it. We even felt confident enough to buy a two-door Jeep Wrangler and modified it to be our towed (toad) vehicle. I now have a new hobby, something my spouse told me that I desperately needed! Family purchased a Forest River Surveyor 3 years ago. It has been one problem after another and we simply CANNOT get anyone in any department to give a call back. Here are only the highlights... Two years ago, the refrigerator stopped working and DeMartini was of zero help - zero. Would not call us back and we ended up having a new control board shipped directly from manufacturer - had to pay even though it should have been a warranty replacement. This, after spending $100 on dry ice while waiting for Demartini to call back, even if only to tell us they could not/would not help. Last trip, we suddenly had no 110 power to the trailer. We checked all the obvious before calling. We explained we were actually camping and really would appreciate a call back. No one bothered to call after we called and left SEVERAL messages with service - like they were actively avoiding the call. This was over the course of 2 full days. The problem is ongoing and we will be taking elsewhere for service. The day we got the trailer we had an incident. Demartini did not properly install the Anderson hitch and we nearly had a sway accident on the way home. Spent a couple of hours working directly with Anderson who claimed their anti-sway, leveling package was not properly installed. I reinstalled and we have not had an issue sense. We are in the market for another RV. Needless to say, we will not buy from Demartini. From our perspective, it seems they actually practice after sale avoidance - too many experiences to conclude otherwise. Too bad as all we really needed was a phone call. Not blaming them for the poor build of our trailer. I am not one to leave reviews. This is my first Yelp! review. We purchased our Class C RV from DeMartini in March, and it has been a great experience! Dave Stockinger in Sales was very patient with us and not only helped us find and purchase the perfect coach, but when Ford threw a last-minute recall, he got it fixed before we took possession. He took our regular calls and was always helpful. The walk-through was excellent and we've had several great camping trips already! Speaking of camping, we needed a few things fixed and their repair team did a great job for us. Although they were very busy (like all service centers), they found a way to squeeze in our minor repairs. Service Manager Tony Hartman was very accommodating, which I really appreciated since I had a five hour drive to their facility. They allowed me to camp overnight (no charge) so I could be there and ready for an 8 AM appointment. They started right on time, and in a little over an hour, we were good to go! Tim Briggs, the technician, and Tony listened to our problems, and they gave us a great explanation of the work performed. Both guys were a model of professionalism and courtesy. I'm implore you to not do business with DeMartini RV (Grass Valley, CA) They are by far the most incredulous dealership I've ever dealt with. Insanely unethical business practices as well as the lack of transparency, honesty and fairness is truly almost unbelievable. I spent 14yrs in the car business and never ever treated or responded to a client like they did with me. The Owner Tim hasn't a lick of integrity, nor does their lead salesman Dave. I beg of you to share this, even if you don't live in my area. This information needs to take a stronghold on the Web by constant saturation and sharing. I'm doing this in hopes of preventing anyone else from their horrible treatment, and/or possible financial ruin. Reply to Vicky::: Shows how little understanding of what actually took place. I left Saturday committed to the asking price as Tim wouldn't budge and Tim and Dave knew that. You couldn't offer me the 4.99% rate I got, so I left with the understanding from everyone that I would seek my own financing Monday morning. Spoke with Dave on Monday and told him the approval went through at 4.99% and that I would have a check in hand Tuesday. He even responded with he could help produce a P/O for the bank if needed. Tuesday comes around and I call at 12:30, told Dave we are ready to come up, and asked he get me pricing on the warranty. He replied that he needed to speak with Tim and get confirmation on pricing and if by chance he had anyone else on the unit. I told him at that very moment, "well you gave me a vin, I got a check, and there is no negotiating, so what would hold up this deal?" He never got back to me as you know, although he said he would. I called again at 3:30, got no response, 4:45 and finally the young lady on the phone told me she would personally share my upset with lack of communication and would make sure Tim and Dave got my message and would call me back. Guess what::: NO ONE CALLED BACK. Wednesday morning comes around and no calls, no email, no nothing. I call the dealership and finally get Dave. His somber voice spoke volumes. I asked why the lack of communication and the customer service...? I was told that the owner decided to sell to another woman on Tuesday. So he knew this info and chose not to share. He kept me on the hook just in case the deal with this woman fell through. Most likely this was due to me providing my own financing and the dealership not being able to make points off my rate, which by the way I offered that to Dave. Since the other buyer and myself would both be paying the same price, can't see it any other way. I have $124k in hand with the RV's VIN number printed on it.... I like that you feel the need to reply and protect the image of the dealership, but the damage is done and how and what took place is memorialized on the internet forever. I've never ever been treated the way I was at DeMartini. When I left Saturday, Tim shook my hand and I said, see you Monday or Tuesday. Dave gave me all the info I needed to give to the bank for the loan. We spoke 3 times on Monday.. Shady shady shady. Tried to keep one on the hook...not a new tactic at all. Lost my business, all of my referrals and guaranteed my distain being shared affects how people will choose to engage with the dealership. Made my 6, and 8 yr olds cry like I've never seen. Now myself, my disabled wife, kids and service dog will have to find another 37rb from a reputable dealership. read more

I'm not going to say buying a motorhome is easy and problem less because it's not. It takes a lot of patience and commitment on both the buyer and seller, but even more on the service department. There were many moments where we felt hopeless in this situation and I needed a lot of reassurance. DeMartini's staff were good to us. Lets face it we were buying this in the middle of a pandemic where literally nothing went smooth and still isn't. But I can appreciate the effort and the fact that these guys are still going to work everyday and trying to do what it takes to get us and keep us on the road enjoying our RV. They have big hearts and a good work ethic. I feel they are honest. In the beginning we did a lot of the purchase work with Tim, the owner. I liked him a lot and his straight forwardness and good stories. Brent, Tim's son, was our salesman. He was fantastic, patient and always willing to help with my constant need for updates. This guys works, he is always running around getting it done. Whatever it is....he's doing it! We had to order our coach as there were none in stock. It was many months late out of manufacturing but it did finally arrive and it was gorgeous. Berkshire XL 40 E. After owning it a bit, the problems came. We expected that, we've owned a Forest River trailer. That experience was a nightmare. We knew the risk was fairly high the first would be year full of repairs and working the bugs out. The unit we purchased was not what one would expect when you throw down the money of a second home. This had nothing to do with DeMartini, however because of these things is why DeMartini gets 5 stars. I do not like to mention this stuff on DeMartini's review but I think its important to note so you can really understand how great DeMartini has been and how hard they have worked for us. There were ridiculous issues by the factory and recall items that are shocking. However that being said Forest River has truly been doing a great job helping us resolve the issues. We are hopeful we will get all the bugs worked out soon. I feel Forest River could use more oversite within the factory. We had things like a roll of tape being left in the top of the slide which caused us major water leaks, a gasket being left out of the hydraulic jacks causing a leak, Sewer pipe leaks, not sealing around all the skylights, causing water leaks and voids where screws should be, forgetting trim, hot water heater leaking in 3 different areas, not only water but boiler fluid and windows popping out. That's the big stuff. There is a long list of little stuff too. Let me say Forest River and DeMartini Service have stood behind our rig and have done what they can to help out. They have worked together as a team very well. I would beg Forest River to step it up in the factory though because these mistakes have cost us a lot of money and time and most of these things should never have happened. We have not received any compensation for the mistakes which is the downfall for the consumer for poor manufacturing. I can not say enough wonderful things about Tony in Service at DeMartini. Tony Hartman is a jewel. Sometimes he is a little hard to get ahold of (probably because he's always helping someone) but he more than makes up for it with his extreme effort to solve problems and correct all these factory mistakes. In all fairness he can only deal with one problem and one person so its very reasonable that it can be hard to reach him. He has helped us over and over and is still hard at work currently with our coach. We have owned the coach since February and it has probably visited Tony and the guys at least 4 times. Every single time they have been outstanding, they have tried to resolve the issues as quickly as they could and have been so patient with my endless questions and frustrations. When I needed them most, they were there, every single time! While I appreciated the DeMartini experience in buying a coach I have really learned that the experience does not end when you buy it. It only begins and you should only purchase a beast like this from a place who has an outstanding service department. DeMartini absolutely has this. I'm sure that all Tony hears about are problems day in and day out. The stress of this job with cranky folks can not be enjoyable. Yet he keeps on showing up and doing what he can to help folks, to get them back on the road. No matter what rig you buy I think you will have a slew of issues, what counts is which dealer and service department will stand behind their rigs. I feel I can confidently say DeMartini was worth it. I am glad our family made our purchase through them. I would do it again. read more

We tried to buy a Class A Coach from them. First off In October they had a Discovery on their website that I put a bid on and they never called so I call and was in formed that it was sold. It is still on their website in January which is false advertising. Than we found the coach we wanted and it ended up at DeMartini they told us we could buy it in November for 210,000 but it had a chip issue. So we waited until in January they raise the price 230,000. We know the previous owner and know that they got it at a very good price and now they are selling it for even more. Their website shows they have a great selection but when you get there they will not sell any of them. The ones we were interested in were all of a sudden sold to their driver or someone else on the phone was buying it. They try to push you to ordering or buying one of the many Omni's they have on the lot. Then we picked out a Dodge 550 Isata that was used and they said we can't sell that one because of a recall. That place is a joke. BTW, we pulled up in a newer Mercedes S class. Complete waste of a day! read more

We purchased our motorhome from DeMartini RV in January and drove it back to the east coast. On a recent cross-country trip, we found ourselves very close to the dealership when our coach developed an irritating squeaking sound. Although it was a last minute request, and despite being very busy, the service manager (John) made time to see us. The RV tech (Tim) was knowledgeable, motivated and capable, and quickly resolved the issue. When I called the sales department to report this notable experience, the owner himself (also named Tim) personally took my call. Terrible customer service or should I say no customer service at all. If you're not the "right" looking customer, they will not even speak to you. Had to ask to look at the coaches and apparently no salespersons were available. However, I saw a bunch of old men sitting in their offices and no other customers in the lot.
