They do have picnic tables that are on asphalt type material like your rig Handful of sites with concrete areas that have furniture and fire pits A few sites that have a fenced in area attached with a shade tarp for your dog that also has patio furniture Sites don't have enough room for an additional car like we had and there wasn't really any overflow parking except maybe five spots towards front by clubhouse and main road. Well maintained grounds. They pick your trash up for you if you put it outside each morning. Absolutely no shade. No trees. Nice clubhouse and pool area. They serve free breakfast everyday from 830-10. Coffee, juice, cereal, oatmeal and bagels. They also have a little store inside. Toiletries. Fire starting stuff. Etc with some cool souvenirs. General camp store supplies. The bathrooms/showers were clean and huge. They're hot inside. Appears to have no AC . There are six Bathrooms. They're all unisex. The laundry was super clean and nice. It has AC. Takes Apple Pay or cc. 3.50 to wash 3.50 to dry. 4 of each machine. 30 min wash cycle 45 min Dry cycle Bath house and laundry are keypads and a code is given to you at check in. Free WiFi that was actually decent. Small dog area. Has two chairs and a shade tarp. Could use some ant spray. Outside our rig in the grass area we had some small ant piles. So I think spraying would be nice. We were pull through site 404. They have a few tent sites that sit on the ponds (a protected wetland preserve) which may or may not have gators. That would be a concern to me if I tent camped. They all have triangle tarps for shade. Overall I'd give this Koa 4.5 stars Having a small cement area to step out on would be nice. We stopped at Peck's for dinner on our way to the campground. We got there when it was dark around 8:30. We had a back in spot and couldn't see much in the dark. The campground wasn't that crowded. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and we only stayed one night. And what a night it was! Lots of thunder and lightning and Freckles went crazy. In the morning they offered a complimentary breakfast. Dave got us a bagel with cream cheese and nice hot coffee. They had cereal, milk, juice etc. That was a nice surprise! We will try again in the future. We love Crystal River and all it has to offer!

We love it here! After having a horrible experience at our last place (the people, staff, small…read moresites, bad location etc were horrific), we were very pleasantly surprised with this park. The lots are roomy, the neighbors friendly, the staff is awesome, and the location is perfect for us! Being outdoor enthusiastics, there were several parks in the area, and many amazing BEAUTIFUL SPRINGS to paddle/kayak all within one hour or less from here. Silver Springs is 15 minutes away, and I definitely took advantage of it, paddling every opportunity I could. The staff here is very friendly, which is a breathe of fresh air! The spots are LARGE and very roomy, even with neighbors, it feels pretty open here. We highly recommend this location, and will definitely stop by again as we pass through on our travels!

First and foremost, the bathrooms were downright filthy and frequently out of toilet paper. It was clear that they hadn't been cleaned in quite some time, with dirt and grime accumulating in every corner. It is frustrating to think that such a basic necessity could be so neglected, especially for a campground that aims to attract visitors. Additionally, the overgrown vegetation was another major issue. The lack of lawn maintenance during the entire month we were there made the campground feel unkempt and uninviting. This neglect also contributed to an explosion of bugs--we were absolutely swarmed! We realize this is Florida and the bugs can be very bad this time of year. That is why it is very important to keep the facility well-maintained and clean to help combat this problem. The infestation made it hard to enjoy any outdoor activities. Being there in August, we were particularly looking forward to enjoying the pool. Unfortunately, while it was open when we arrived, it was locked the very next day due to "maintenance issues" that were never resolved throughout our entire stay. This was incredibly disappointing, especially in the heat of summer when a pool could have made all the difference. Another one of the amenities to this facility was a recreation lounge with a pool table. Unfortunately there was no air-conditioning which made it completely unusable unless you wanted to use it as a sauna. To top it all off, the manager, Amber, left much to be desired in terms of customer service. She was incredibly rude and dismissive when we brought up our concerns about the state of the facilities. Initially, we approached our concerns in a friendly and constructive manner, hoping to address the issues and improve our stay. However, as the month went on, her attitude worsened. She started treating us as if we were acting like first-class citizens who always got their way, when in reality, we are just normal horse people who understand what it takes to run a facility like this. It was disheartening to realize that, despite our genuine concerns, Amber seemed more interested in dismissing us than addressing the problems at hand. As time went on, the worse her attitude became, which was incredibly frustrating. Overall, I would not recommend Goethe Trailhead Ranch RV Campground to anyone looking for a clean and welcoming environment. It's a shame to see a place with such potential being run into the ground. Buddy's is a diamond in the rough. New owners are slowly restoring this RV park. There's still a…read morelot of work to be done, but it's all shaping up beautifully. The folks residing here are friendly & tend to watch out for one another, which is reassuring. Located on Lake Rousseau, where the fishing is plentiful. They have a small bathhouse (1 shower) & a nice laundry (3 washers @ $1.75/3 dryers at $1 per load). There's no cable & OTA is unreliable, but the wifi is excellent. TV channels are not consistent, but I really haven't missed watching it very much. Although I do watch a few channels occasionally, it's given me a great opportunity to catch up on some reading. Speaking of reading, there is a book exchange area in the laundry. These folks also own Big Bass Village RV down the road, so you can't always catch someone in the office, but the manager (Suzie) got back with me very quickly when I emailed her from the address on the website. I think the owners are really working hard to make this a beautiful place. It has great potential, it's VERY reasonably priced (lower than anyone else in the area), & are quick to answer questions or suggest sights/views/restaurants. I'm really glad that this was the RV park we chose for our stay in this pretty part of Florida.

Chad (campground host) was super helpful in getting us situated, and the $20/day rate was fair. Unfortunately the sites do not have electric hookups, but generators can be used until 10pm. They do have water hookups at each site. The grounds have a couple community pavilions, and about 22 total sites. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table. Fire wood can easily be found by looking around. Most sites offer plenty of shade. The place is commonly utilized by equestrian groups, although there were none during our stay. We were 1 of only 3 occupied sites during our visit. They do have a large bathhouse on site that was very clean. There is a trailhead leaving the park but we did not have an opportunity to do any hiking during our 1 night stay. There are several stores and restaurants nearby if you need to stop for supplies. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again, and would recommend Shangri-La to any others looking for tent or rv sites in this area.
