The rink is humble but obviously the town where the nestle factory used to be remains a legend. The roller skating rink was built when everyone in Syracuse and Fulton were still supported by blue collar work .... And it was a glorious time. But now the Nestle factory isn't there .. but the people remain and so does Bilou. A lot of kids there but also adults ! The skate management does a great job in turning the lights on almost every other song and they play the songs the teens all want to hear .. turn the strobes on.. lights off :) bug right after they turn on the lights and play a song to maintain the calm and super fun atmosphere. And the snacks are only a buck ! The price is very doable .. especially for a town where the unemployment rate is high. If you come to Bilou and you aren't happy with their business just go ahead and let management know .: from what I can see (and I have no affiliation with the management or rink) they are really doing their best. That is a loss, but second star is removed because the manager who was in charge of admission was not very friendly and did not hand me change instead he put it on the table. Traditionally you hand the change to the person. I was a cashier at stores in past so I know what being friendly means. He has no smiles. What is worse was that he lost another star. This is why I have 2 out of 5 because of his attitude and because of safety. The fire exit doors has a wood stud blocking. That is better than chain locks. But also what is bad is the front door exit blocked with stuff of his. I was going to leave and I noticed all things are blocked so I had to exit at the entrance door. Because of this, that is dangerous. Now, the place itself has shown age. The insulation needs replacement since I see its torn on upper walls and ceiling. Needs repairs. the floor I counted 25 spots or so needs truly sanded and polished with new polyurethane coating on the floor to protect the floor. Of course it is Maple wood in fan pattern for the turns. What is worse is that I was videotaping myself and doing selfies for my website and the owner does not like me doing that but other people were filming the rink themselves with their children! It does not make any sense. This is why he lost this third star. I highly recommend you find another rink. Poor attitude and safety reasons are high on factor for my concerns for you, skaters.

Golf takes to much work to be good at so I am pretty much a special occasion golfer. I am good…read moreenough that I do not make a complete fool of myself but no one is going to insist I play on their side in a golf out. With that said my 25Th High School Reunion (ESM class of 1980) scheduled a golf outing on the Friday before the reunion. It was planned as a 9 hole shoot gun start at Wa-Noa Golf Club. I had never played golf at Wa-Noa before since I was not a golfer growing up (I am still not). Unfortunately, I was late due to a flipped over garbage truck on I81 so I missed the shot gun start. However, one of my classmates was late as well. So it worked out. He and I grabbed a golf cart and started at the first tee. Part of Wa-Noa's charm is its lack of sophistication. For the most part it is a goat track. An opportunity to shoot a few holes of golf before the real games start in the 19th Hole. The course is flat and most of the hazards are trees and ponds. One of the things I remember at Wa-Noa was that it always seemed to be flooded. I ended up having a lot of fun. The course was just right for what the day called for. On opportunity to catch up with some old friends and not take it too seriously. My kind of golf course.

Like other places they had rentals which was good because we had a first timer and the pricing was a little strange. I liked the way the bunkers were set up but you could tell the place wasn't maintained very well. They also only had about 4 fields you could go to and one field was speedball which was used by the local team the whole time. There was definitely not as many people as we thought there would be, it was my group and two other people. As far as gameplay it was fun however the refs could have been more involved based on other places we've gone to, as they explained rules but didn't call some of them (blind fire in my case). Overall I'd say it's a good place to go to especially if you have a group that you're going with.
