I used to go to this shop back when it was in Seabrook. They have a ton of comics back stock and rare items on the wall. They also do some good sales for back issues and books etc for a good price. All three had a huge selection of comic books, both new and old. Comics really aren't my thing, I like the collectibles that go with them and this place is surrounded with them. Vintage toys that I've never seen before to the more current Funko Pops. They have it all. Very cool place, talked to the owner and got excellent customer service. Really nice guy. While nothing really screamed take me home with you today, I'll for sure be back.

Cheating out on keeping the back issues in clean and identical/uniform looking display sometimes hinders me from even digging. Flipping through a store that clearly replaces every bag and board in the back issue section makes you feel like you're digging through one gigantic comic book collectors collection. It's satisfying. I can't stress that enough. A+++ shop. Best in the area.

Back in the day people used to talk about how Pokémon cards would have value and they literally have $300-$400 Pokémon cards and glass cases. I feel like I missed out lol. They were very organized with their comics with them all in alphabetical order and easy to find. You don't have to have a lot of money to participate in this interest. Although there are some very expensive comic books they also sell some for $1. They also offer cool experiences outside of comic books. They are hosting a dungeons and dragon tournament, Yu-Gi-Oh card tournament and more. I thought it was cool that it is a safe haven for kids to come and read comics or watch anime if they choose to get away.

One thing I really respect is how they changed their Pokémon card policy to help combat scalpers. Real Pokémon fans usually don't mind if the factory seal is cut when buying product because the cards and packs inside are still untouched, and it helps keep product in the hands of actual collectors and players instead of resellers clearing shelves. If you do want fully sealed product, they still offer it at current market price, which is a fair balance for everyone. When I saw Bluey books displayed I was surprised as it's not something a "comic book"/"nerd" shop is going to carry especially since they have a lot of independent TTRPG games I'm not familiar with. Then I found their youth selection of books -Goosebumps to The Babysitter's club to horror genre for young adults. They're not just a shop that caters to Funko Pop Culture to get by so they can have their Indy games and Call of Cthulhu game sessions. The staff was so helpful in giving me a ton of information and helping me with my needs. I had so many recommendations and they knew what they were talking about. I love that this place is about cultivating from a young age a love of books. I highly recommend this store over the other "nerd" stores in the surrounding area. I've been to them and was so disappointed with their selection of games and books and also the lack of professionalism.

Like many of the modern comic book stores, Bedrock City Comic want to make everyone who walks through their door as welcoming as possible. They have specific sections for kids and shelves that's just local Houstonian artists created works or books for new comers to start from. This store is definitely well organized and there's plenty of things to browse for. Sometimes there will be special artists event such as Gene Luen Yang stopping by for a meet and greet and signing. They certainly stock up as much of the creator's works as possible for people to buy and get it signed the same evening. This store also have a good selection for the hardcore collectors when it comes to buying Golden Age comics, statues, and special limited edition collectibles that you don't really need it but you want it just because. When I am around on this side of the town, I will always try to make time and stop by here just to take a look, who knows what I will find that trip.
