Of course who doesn't like dirt roads. So you wash your car once a week. It's called exercise. Some people don't get the concept of a speed limit. Normal maintenance that has to be done to the park to keep it up to code so the clients are dispirited. With all the open space you do get to live stock Cows, which comes with the smell of defecation. With my closing been going on 5 months and so far we haven't thought about moving as of yet. All new concrete sites but no amenities (no firing, picnic…read moretable, etc), tight sites but good grass (w/ sticker burs abundant), WiFi 2 bars in site 24 which is a west/ east backin. Water pressure good, FHU's w/ 50 amp, 3 bars on Verizon so you can stream on cellular service. WiFi not strong enough too. About 1/2 the sites are FTers w/ #22 winning yard of the month. Roads are concrete but very tight. Our 35' crossed the grad even though we were as far right as we could go. 40'+ rigs will have issues turning and backing in as all sites are back in w/utilities at the rear of the site.

Sunset Ridge has some really nice and large concrete sites to park your rig, vehicles, boats, and…read moreeverything else you might bring along. The concrete streets are wider than average and make backing into your site a breeze. The grass around the sites is unbelievably lush and apparently watered by an underground seepage system that keeps the grass in good health. The grounds are maintained on a daily basis to keep everything trimmed to perfection. These are the highlights of our findings during our 9 week stay: - The pool is heated and hot tub worked most of our stay. It was still broken when we left. - The office/clubhouse is perpetually "coming soon", although they have no construction plans currently to build one. The office is located inside of a shipping container. - They sometimes erect a tent for gatherings, but stated they get destroyed by high winds on a regular basis. - They held potluck dinners in the fitness room during our stay, due to lack of any other facilities. - We were warned of past thefts when we arrived. Two thefts occurred on separate occasions during our stay and the "resort" sent out text messages to residents with tips from the local police department. - Stray dogs regularly roam the grounds. - There is no street lighting and building exterior lighting is off during most of the dark hours. Flashlights or headlamps are advised after dark. - Lawn maintenance is a constant irritant at the sites. It happens 6 days of the week, with 3-5 days that they would come through our site EACH WEEK. - The building is surrounded by SANDBURS. We picked them out of our shoes on a daily basis. - The air often smelled like sewer gas, most likely due to the nearby tidal basin. - Showers/restrooms are cleaned once a week, according to the manager. Daily would be more appropriate. - The high-speed internet located at each site was good. However, they don't provide a Wi-Fi Hotspot for use when away from your site (e.g. in fitness room). - They say Corpus Christi is the windiest city in the United States. We no longer doubt that statement. - While it is promoted as a "resort", it felt more like an RV park by the end of our stay there. Many "resort" amenities are perpetually "coming soon".

We travel for work and needed somewhere for a month. We have a nice spot with a outdoor covered area, we are not right on top of other RVs. They have laundry and are working on upgrading the WiFi to get it stronger. There are some homes and permanent RVs here but they aren't eyesores. Right off the main road and close to all the things you might need in town.

The office was closed when we came in, but a call to them and we were told to just pick a spot. Lots to choose from that time of year. Then, since we didn't want to unhook, we were told to just drop the money at the office when we left in the morning. It doesn't get any easier! I wrote them a thank you note and we plan to return late June 2023, on our way home again.
