Unfortunately I need to make this review to warn anyone that these might be the worst greens in Charlotte, certainly at the price point of $65. The picture highlights how patchy they were. Some spots had grass, some weeds sprinkled isome had just a thin layer of muddy slick grass, and there were divots and ball marks everywhere that were almost impossible to fix. The rest of the course was fine and it was a nice layout but it was depressing walking up to each green. Hopefully work is done to fix this course up but use this as a warning to anyone that is a stickler about the greens conditions.

Bar none, dollar for dollar best character for a local course. Beautiful, perfect length and some great golf. I bring people here all the time and never disappointed. Staff is very helpful and polite adding to the experience. Food Wed-Sun. Beer and snacks offered all the time with a nice driving range and putting green. Can't recommend enough. This is a hidden jewel

Today, I played the worst golf course in the area, Emerald Lake. One star is too much. The course looked like they have just let it go and they don't really care. Surprisingly, they believe they have something special and are charging $57.00!!! I will never return! Very disappointed. There are too many courses In the area to waste your time and money playing here.

This course was a poor excuse of a "golf" course. It would better be labeled a runway, because when golf balls hit these greens, they take off. You will not be able to tell the difference between fairway and rough, they are both made of dirt. Let's not forget about the range which is so sandy I thought they wanted us to practice our fairway bunker shots. And oh yeah, they robbed us of $113 for this. It gets two stars because the pace of play was fast and the service was fine.

If you want to practice do not goto Emerald Lake because you will be hitting off straight dirt on the driving range

Overpriced, overbooked, terrible greens, terrible tee boxes, terrible conditions. You need to charge half of what you are charging.

For the price, the greens were in pretty bad condition. Overall pet good course, but there are better near by it.

I've been reading some good reviews about the upgrades to this course, including the addition of…read morethe Diamond Zoysia greens so it's been on my list of courses to play. Today it got checked off. I had a 12n Tuesday tee time and the weather was perfect for golf. When I got there at 11am to hit some balls off the driving range, I learned it was closed for some repairs. The Pro Shop guy said I could go ahead and start if I was ready so I did. This course plays very well. The fairways are in great shape and the course is wide open for the most part. There are some narrow fairways but maybe just a couple. There are just a few holes that leave you with a blind shot on the doglegs. I've never played on Diamond Zoysia so I wasn't sure what to expect. Just about a month in to the install and they still have a ways to go. It's almost like playing on green and silver sand with a little grass thrown in. It was very difficult to get a read on your putts. I especially liked the Par 3's on both sides, very accessible and set up nicely. I especially liked #18 which they consider their 'signature' hole. Which is 524 yards from the White tees. You have to go over a little creek to a landing area and then over a little pond to the green. It's visually appealing and wide open with all the water. There were several tee boxes that were in poor repair and in some cases just no grass at all, just bare dirt. That was disappointing to see. They get $32 riding for a Sr during the week which isn't bad. Their carts are gas and they keep them all clean and are following COVID guidelines. All the Staff I came in contact with were friendly and professional. Shout out to Gary who gave me some guidelines on some of the holes. I would highly recommend this course.

Think of it this way ...if you have a thick rug or carpet at home and try rolling a ball on it ...it's the same conditions and I'm not lying. We were so shocked. Even when you are teeing off the grass is so high there is no low points to hit from. So you have to tee up high. I normally NEVER hit review but please don't ever come out here. EVER!
