The staff was not helpful at all , I was walking out for visiting a friend at the complex and my car was missing . I asked one of the guys since I see multiple trucks taking cars and he said "well you should know where it is and why it got towed " umm excuse me ?! Noo sir I'm a visitor and parked in the visitors parking , apparently the resident needed to register the cars , but I guess they didn't know. So when I ask for location they didn't want to tell me where .. so I had to take a picture of their tow truck "ad number " to try to call and find out about my car and my car was towed 5 mins before I called.. soo they knew . I was parked in Roy Rogers Park in lighthouse point and had a heart attack and not only did emerald tow my car knowing I was in the hospital they auctioned it off with my birth certificate and Medicare and SS and all of my belongings including jewelry and designer clothes and boots and chrome hearts pieces and I begged them to wait until I got out of the hospital and they laughed and hung up. 2 seater black slk Mercedes convertible gone just like that! Within 30 minutes a flatbed arrived and the driver was swift and knowledgeable to have my vehicle moved onto the flatbed (vehicle was stuck in park) he used such amazing care and skill to complete an almost impossible task. Amazing. I can't say enough good things about Emerald Towing and their driver, Tearon. This is the second time I have used Emerald. AAA could not be more incompetent. We had a blowout on the Turnpike at 11PM and called AAA (no spare tire on this brand of car). At 1:00AM after several useless calls AAA they say leave your keys and we will pick it up later. After another 10 calls and misinformation and 4PM the following day, the car is still on the side of the turnpike. I call Emerald Towing, speak to the dispatcher, he says a truck is on its way and by 5:15PM, Tearon is pulling up to my mechanic's shop to drop off the car. My car broke down in the middle of the road on a busy street, it was a pretty scary experience. I gave emerald towing a call and Luke was there within 10 minutes to save the day. He turned what would've been a terrible experience into me being back on the road and still making it in to work on time. Not a good experience my wife wrecked our car and emerald towing showed up and tried getting us to tow the car to a specific body shop and when we told him no we didn't want that he began to get rude with my wife and telling us that we are going to get taken advantage of if we let the insurance company have it sent to their place and to top it off when we went to gather our things from the car and it had been totaled we found that they went through all of our stuff that was in the car and were missing sunglasses and a few dollars cash that was in the center console and when you confront them they just say that they aren't responsible. Yesterday I took my son to the doctor and parked in an indoor garage. When I left I realized one of my tires was completely flat which came from a screw in the tire that I must have picked up from the construction going on in the garage. Anyway, having no spare tire, I pulled over, the police came & called a tow truck. Luke from Emerald Towing showed up and he was awesome! Angry Bc their tow driver talked my husband into towing it to their yard instead of around the corner to our driveway literally 1/10 th of a mile away , which is where we originally asked them to take it to once they removed it off the median. I literally could of pushed it home . They try to scare you stating insurance won't cover it and we would have to pay upfront which we would of had no problem doing bc later after talking to insurance vo they told me they would have reimbursed us for the tow . And so car then ended up being towed 7 miles away and sitting in their extremely crowded tow yard sitting in huge puddles with the keys in ignition overnight unlocked obviously. I brought the valet set and f keys to trade it for my key fob set they had ... He told me to just put it in the cup holder and I confirmed with him that I did . When I went to get my belongings out of car that next day I literally couldn't squeeze into the drivers seat to get them therefore beiing in that at a high risk of being banged by anyone opening doors of neighboring vehicles . AND they LOST my keys ! and it was locked apparently when the repair shop tow came to get it .So they offered to "break in " ( which the other tow company who was picking it up refused to let them ,saying it could damage car ) I had to drive a new set to the repair shop when I finally got someone to tow it from there in Boca to a repair shop in delray Beach after 5 days bc it was over a weekend ... I was there on Thursday to sign release but other tow finally came on Monday eve so of course this delayed my car repair to take weeks instead of 2 and cost an extra week of rental car out of my pocket ... I would never recommend this place to anyone i was in an accident on 3/31/22 and went to pick up my car the next day and it hasn't even been 24 hours and they were charging me an outrageous price of 359.43 just to get my car out and of course they are going to tell me that if I leave my car there for another day it's going to more money which I don't have. Our H2 broke down (Transmission failure) on Florida turnpike last night at 10:45 pm, on MM65, we called AAA for a tow, they first said it was a 60-90, minute wait, then they called back to tell me theres no flatbed wreckers for at least 4+ hours, to call someone else and AAA would reimburse the call charge, first company I thought of was Emerald towing, being a Retired publix garage Mechanic, they were right on the phone and had a flatbed in route to us in 20 minutes, Robert showed up and had us on the flatbed in no time, took us home and backed our Hummer H2 into a parking spot... Polite , professional, and most of all compassionate. I thought my fees were fair. Everything was explained to me the day after my accident.I was able to drive my wrecked car off of the lot, and everyone was so happy for me. Im bad with names, but the guy who processes the paperwork is super efficient. It's a quick process. The 2 men I dealt with at the gate were outstanding. Extremely over priced, they quoted me over 325.00 to tow my vehicle 6 miles. The lady was trying to take me for a fool. She kept asking me what was wrong with the vehicle and it seemed like she kept pricing it up. She also didn't pay attention , I had to repeat my self multiple times. The price changed a few times. Their competition this it for under 100.00 . Insane that during these times of Covid that a company would try to take advantage of someone. Called for a tow at 5 o'clock in the afternoon on a Friday. I was told it would be an hour and a half. I asked for a call when the driver was on the way as I was not with the vehicle but I could meet them. After three hours and no call, I called back. I was told the driver was on the way so I took an Uber to the vehicle. As soon as I arrived at my vehicle and my Uber pulled away, I get another call saying that they have too many police calls and wouldn't be able to get a driver to me. I rescheduled for the next morning at 8:00 AM. At 8:01 AM I received a voicemail from a woman who does not leave her name but sounds very unhappy. The transcript reads, ""Hi please call Emerald towing 954-917-4747 it's in reference to the call you set up we will be unable to do it thank you..." I return her call at 9:30 in the morning informing her that I was the one that set up the 8 o'clock tow and she says "Yea we're not gonna be able to do that today." This is 9/6/2020 at 10:30 pm. They won't let me get my own stolen property. Then they say I can't get it Monday either. Holiday. They charge me $330 to get a 50 CC scooter out of their lot that was towed because it was STOLEN. The scooter is basically destroyed. Will cost more to fix than its worth. They won't let me leave it there. They are gonna put a lien against me and I can't even register another scooter. RIP OFF!!! BEWARE they took advantage of my mom after she got into a car accident. They told her she had to have the car towed with them they were affiliated with BSO and had her sign a paper giving them possession of her car when the car insurance tow truck arrived to bring the car to the dealership they refused to give them the car. My mom went in earlier that day to sign a release form to let the insurance company take the car. They told them she had to pay over $1400 to get the car from impound. This is ridiculous I can't believe people can do this sort of stuff and still sleep at nigh. Do yourself a favor and don't give them your business. read more

I had an awful experience with Emerald towing this weekend. My 18-year-old little sister was involved in a car accident, which as you can imagine is already a very hectic situation. Once I was able to arrive at the accident the Broward Sheriff's Office had already called for a rotation tow. Emerald Towing was there to pick up both vehicles involved in the accident. My little sister who was shaken up from the accident, was asked by the Emerald driver if she wanted him to tow her car as well. I told my sister that we wanted to drop the car at the body shop two blocks north on federal highway. I believed she misunderstood the driver on scene because she said he told her he could only take it to his (Emerald's) lot. So, I contacted the Emerald towing dispatch. When I spoke with the dispatcher she told me that it would not be a problem for the driver to come back and drop the car at our body shop. The dispatcher asked me to hold on for one moment as she began to call the driver on the radio (which I could hear the whole conversation in the background). When she told the driver to come back to the accident he had left only five minutes ago the driver replied "THAT'S FUCKING BULLSHIT!! THEY TOLD ME TO..." and the dispatcher then quickly put me on hold, so I couldn't hear the rest of the rude transmission from the driver. When the dispatcher came back from putting me on hold she told me that the driver would be back in a few minutes and would drop the car at the body shop down the street for me. She then told me it would be $195 I believe. Once the driver made it back on site, I began to apologize for the inconvenience of him having to come back (which I really didn't need to do because I am a paying customer, and this is a service he provides.) and to my surprise the driver storms off past me towards the car. He then looks at me and looks at the car and says "Ya it's going to be $250 now to take this car" and I obviously inquired why the number had changed almost $55 dollars more than the phone. He stepped closer to me and in a very aggressive, and demining tone said, "because you made me come back". I told him that I was quoted $195 by the dispatcher and told him if he was going to change the price on me because he was aggravated, that I was going to talk to the supervisor and at that point he said "fuck it "and got back in his truck and left. I called the dispatch number again who apologized and said she was calling the supervisor and took my phone number to contact me back with a solution. Keep in mind at this point, it is now raining, and I wanted to take my sister to the hospital to get checked out but I still had a disabled​ car on the side of the road I couldn't just leave. If it was Emerald's Policy to raise the price because the truck had to return, I should have been told that by the dispatcher. I also should not haveheard​r the driver cursing at the dispatcher. The driver should not have been aggressive for any reason. Twenty minutes had gone by without the dispatcher calling me back with a solution so I called back and the dispatcher sa:​id " I am sorry, the supervisor is still working on It and I am walking out over this incident." I then thanked her for her time and told them I could not wait any longer for the supervisor to control this out of control and disrespectful driver and I called another tow company who was happy for the business. The responded in 15 mins and removed the vehicle and I was able to take my sister to the hospital to get checked out. Emerald was referred to me by my auto dealer, and I have already let them know how dissatisfied I an with their recommendation. My car is broke down at the Ft Lauderdale Airport in the parking garage. Emerald needed me to go there to see what the clearance was so they could send a tow truck to pick up my car. When I called them with the clearance height they asked me to wait for them to arrive. I was told that it would be one hour. I called them back after waiting for two hours without their tow truck arriving or them giving me a call explaining the delay. The customer service person that I spoke with let me know that they only have one truck that could pick up my car and that it was on another call. I let her know that she had told me one hour and that it would be nice to receive a call if there were to be any further delays. So here I still wait. read more

Worst towing company ever. Got into a terrible accident on Friday night called my insurance provider to sent out to tow company. While my insurance company was on there way with tow this terrible company comes by and says they have to take my car because they were first on seen. I advised I already had tow coming they said didn't matter they had to take my car. Ok I advised to take to my house, they said no they couldn't that since it's insurance they would only take to a specific place. I advised again take to my house then they said it would be $300.00 never in my life have I paid more than 100 for a 5min tow. My house was 5mins away. Then they lied and said it would be taken to Toyota dealership. After calling everywhere my car was sitting in there lot and wasn't going to be moved until Monday. I sent them emails,spoke directly with someone there advising not to move my car since progressive would pick up from there on Monday am.
