Every once in awhile someone restores your faith in humanity. Had a flat tire in the middle of morning rush hour! Adam showed up 15 minutes after I called which in itself was amazing considering the miles of bumper to bumper traffic creeping along at 20 miles an hour on the Turnpike. Emerald was referred to me by my auto dealer, and I have already let them know how dissatisfied I an with their recommendation. My car is broke down at the Ft Lauderdale Airport in the parking garage. Emerald needed me to go there to see what the clearance was so they could send a tow truck to pick up my car. When I called them with the clearance height they asked me to wait for them to arrive. I was told that it would be one hour. I called them back after waiting for two hours without their tow truck arriving or them giving me a call explaining the delay. The customer service person that I spoke with let me know that they only have one truck that could pick up my car and that it was on another call. I let her know that she had told me one hour and that it would be nice to receive a call if there were to be any further delays. So here I still wait. read more

Do not believe ANY 5 star reviews !!! This place has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE and is very low class!!! The people here are so rude I can't believe they even hire people of that standard. I got hit by a semi truck and my car was a total loss and this company towed my vehicle. I came 20 minutes before close and an old guy there was very rude threatening to throw me out when I needed to clean out my vehicle for my adjusters company to come pick it up. I left my two 10 inch sub roofers because I physically couldn't ply them out due to the extensive damage. My trunk was broken after I opened it and the subs were GONE once I left! They accused the other company and wouldn't give me the camera footage. This place is BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL please STAY AWAY. Unless you want your merchandise stolen and to be treated with absolute disrespect. read more

After an accident my mother's totaled car was towed there. She was still recovering so I had to go clean it out. I'm so glad I called beforehand and spoke with Alex. He was super nice and gave me very clear instructions as to what I needed to do to to proceed. Everything to what paperwork to bring to making sure I arrived with closed toed shoes as required for my protection. If I had shown up with the flip flops that I was originally wearing, I would have had to come back, which would have been annoying and a waste of my time. He even reminded me to bring a bag for all the stuff I was removing from the car. The check-in process was easy and I cleared out the car. Well almost, when I returned home I realized I left mom's garage remote and her Sunpass. When I called to say I needed to come back Mikey was patient and kind enough to have another employee go get them so I wouldn't have to venture back into the yard. All I had to do was go to the office. Super easy. Things to note, they had Girl Scout cookies for sale in the office. Buying some and bringing them to mom made her happy. Almost as happy as me finding her platinum and diamond bracelet on the floor of the passenger side. The bracelet fell off during the accident. It could have easily been taken by anyone working there but I believe these folks are hard working honest people. I really appreciated them making things easy during a stressful time. I was told that the price was $180 an hour and the person on the phone gave the specific example - that if the service took 30 minutes it would be $90. The driver arrived and was finished within 15 minutes. The driver said the price was $180, then I called the office and they said they would charge $125. This obviously goes against the example that was given on the phone. I feel that at most I should have been charged was $90 and thereby overcharged by $35. read more

My vehicle was towed from an accident scene and somewhere between the accident scene and my body shop $73.00 and 2 iPhone chargers somehow disappeared from my vehicle. The last thing I was thinking about was the cash in my console at the time of the accident. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed with the lack of integrity. read more

Scam artists. Broward Sherrifs Office uses this company at the scene of an accident. Emerald Towing took advantage of me by telling me the papers I was signing was to tow my car to their lot. Instead they towed it to a body shop called Auto Body Concepts. After much research and negative reviews of the shop I had my car towed to a reputable shop of my own choosing. They seemed nice enough until I went to remove items from my car. I found out they took a bracelet (with tags still on) out of my console but left other fashion jewelry. Spoke with a supervisor and she said, "No way, not my guys, we have cameras. Besides, they would have taken everything." SERIOUSLY?! They're not on camera once they leave the yard. About a week ago I got into an accident on Sample and 441. Someone ran a red light and completely totaled my car. I found out my car was taken to Emerald Towing, so I went to at least get my personal belongings....Unfortunately I got injured in the accident so they wouldn't allow me in the yard (understandably so, they really don't want any liability for anything), but the guy was nice enough to allow my wife in to get my stuff for me. The people in the office are pleasant, the workers are polite. I'm a car guy, so I keep a lot of stuff in my car, tools, spare parts etc. They got one of their workers to help my wife carry everything out for me. These guys are really great. I know nobody likes having their car towed, especially when it wasn't their fault, but these guys do honest work. If you park somewhere you shouldn't be parked, you pay the price. If you're in a car accident and you don't have insurance, you pay the price. Unfortunately if your stuff gets stolen and it ends up in any tow yard, it's a crap situation all around, but again, insurance usually helps. It's a business. read more

Called these guys early on Sunday morning for some help with some equipment I was picking up to haul back to Kansas City, they sent out 2 trucks with 2 guys that couldn't have been any better, they were a huge help in getting things taken care of and getting me on the road. I can't believe this business haven't been sued yet. $270 and my car has not even been stored for 12 hours and I am being charged an obscene amount of money. I tried to pick up the car and they said the office was closed and I would need to pick it up the next day with an even more obscene up charge. These people are thieves, lairs, and making their money by cheating the public. read more

Terrible. Their website says they close at seven but the man I spoke to says they close at six. When I suggested they update it he got very defensive. Awful service with an attitude. This is a scam. When Emerald Towing Service damages your car to the tune of $1000's of dollars in damage in their lot. They will direct you to this Company (ABC) that your Insurance Service tells you not to use and because they are not a recommended as a repair establishment for past complaints. Their is a reason they tell you not to use this Company for the following reasons: I repeatedly asked for up front invoices that detailed the parts, labor and repairs to be performed in writing. In writing means you authorize the work to be performed so when you pick up your car you can verify to the original invoice to match. It also means when in writing it will outline the work and the warranty on each item repaired. I asked for a invoices up front and when the car was picked up and I am still waiting for the hard copies to be emailed or delivered by US mail. The fact is when Emerald Towing damages your car they are forcing you to use them because Emerald does not want to pay you in cash when provided with a hard copy for a written estimate. They will balk & talk but not pay up with a check until you take your car to Auto Body Concepts and will continue to stall and delay. All around horrible service in the Emerald storage lot. When the workers damage your car that was already in an accident, there is a reason that your Insurance steers you away from these companies. Also since they didn't provide upfront invoices you have no kind of written and implied warranties unless they don't want to back up their repairs. With nothing in writing you will also discover when its time to pick up your car they only take cash and this was never disclosed by the Manager Anthony verbally and or in writing. Also this is not displayed on the storefront windows that cash is the only form of payment. Who has thousands of dollars to pay for cash repairs when honest businesses take credit cards-checks or money orders. Very dishonest/deceptive don't do business at this establishment. The next step is to report them to the Better Business Bureau and the City of Pompano and Broward County for possible tax evasion and the IRS. Buyer beware! read more
