The Geico application said that Jose was going to arrived in 50 minutes but they actually arrived in like 20 mins. I really appreciated how professional Jose and his son Andrew was with my car. A big thanks to the 2 gentlemen from Sals who assisted me w my RV this morning on I-95. I had 2 valve stems blow out simultaneously this morning. The guys showed up quickly and solved a number of problems encountered while trying to get my rig up onto the flatbed without bottoming out. Believe me it was no easy task. Geico scheduled Sal's Towing to transport my vehicle to a repair facility, and the call was dispatched to the company at 10:58 AM. After more than two hours of waiting, no driver arrived. I contacted their office multiple times, and each representative provided a different and inconsistent ETA. Ultimately, the tow was cancelled without any explanation or accountability. I strongly advise against using this company. After reviewing their Google reviews, it is clear that many other customers have experienced the same unacceptable level of service. Sal's Towing demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism and empathy. Their mission statement does not reflect the way they operate. They are unreliable and do nothing to alleviate the stress of dealing with a tow, an accident, or vehicle repairs. Unfortunately, they are the only provider available in my area. I have filed a formal corporate complaint with Geico and included screenshots of Sal's Towing's extensive negative reviews. If customer service is not a priority for this company, one must question why they are in business at all. Unless required through your insurance, I strongly recommend that you do not spend any money with Sal's Towing. I was trying to leave a gated community called pinebooke point in margate when One of their tow trucks ENTERED through the EXIT GATW as I was trying to leave through that same gate. I had to quickly reverse in order to not get hit by this truck. The truck driver thought it was funny!!! They were entering to tow cars in the development and when the gate is down, they are not allowed to do that. Since I was leaving and the gate was UP they took the liberty of entering. Needed a quick tow down the street. Sal's was the first and only place I called. They were courteous on the phone with prompt service within the hour. A guy named Cameron showed up. Super professional. Very personable with a great sense of humor. We chatted it up on football, marriage life and kiddos while he loaded my vehicle on the flatbed. He took off to the destination. I had a flat tire on I-95. Tow truck driver was rude. He got out of his vehicle and never approached me. later from a distance he signaled me to drive my vehicle with a flat tire towards him. Absolutely and amazingly horrible interactions with the front office staff. On Friday, November 29th around 1130am, the woman working in the front office was adamant that Sal's did not have the car after providing the make, model, and license plate information. My fiancé called first and I called about 20 minutes later. Between our two calls to Sal's, we called the police thinking the car may have been stolen. The woman didn't ask anyone around her or take any time to check the system. She was very adamant that Sal's had not received any calls, that they don't just patrol around, and are contract based and had not received any calls from or regarding the relevant address. However.... less than an hour later, the rental car company located the car.... at Sal's Towing. When we arrived at Sal's Towing, one of the men in the front office refused to acknowledge the woman's lies by saying "it may have been processing". What would anyone have to gain by not informing us that the car had been towed? This was a completely unnecessary waste of time and police resources. Do better. read more

I hit a car jack on I95 and it took out my transmission pan. Eddie from Sals towing arrived within a half hour and was so kind and helpful. The place I was initially towed to didn't do any transmission work so he towed me to a second location nearby and explained a ton of stuff to me. This is the second time I've used sals towing and both times I was in tears just out of sheer lack of knowledge of what was going on with my vehicle. I'm not a gal that likes to feel helpless. But when my car decided it was going to turn a trick that rendered it undriveable, that's exactly how i felt. I was at a carwash so I went in and asked the manager if he knew of any local towing companies. He picked up the phone and called Sal's. In about 30 minutes, the truck was there with Tom, the nicest tow truck driver ever and he quickly and efficiently assessed the situation, went into my trunk for some kind of a towing hook I didn't even know was there, and soon had my car up on the flatbed ready to go. But the great service didn't stop there. My phone was dying and I wasn't sure I had enough juice to get an Uber so Tom offered to drop me nearby my house given it was on the way to the dealership that he was taking my car too. Really? I think the fairy godmother of tow truck drivers just dropped into my life. The tow was $101 but the peace of mind of not having to sit with a non driveable car was worth every penny (pretty sure my insurance will cover it anyway) You can bet Sal's Towing is going into my phone so the next time (fingers crossed there isn't a next time) I'll know who to call myself. My husband unfortunately had a tire blow up on him on his way to work the other day and we were put in quite the situation. I found him the number for a tow truck company named J and S Towing that we dealt with a few short years ago that was reasonably priced, so we started there. When my husband called them with where he was, the driver was so rude to him telling him that the streets that he were at were wrong. My husband was not wrong as he was standing right in front of the signs. That rude driver kept wanting to argue with him so my husband hung up and decided to call Sals Towing! The driver, Matthew, was there in about 15-20 minutes and he was nice enough to drive my husband to meet up with me at the auto repair place. Wow! To be honest, I called because I had a question about my car lights that didn't stop blinking. It was 3 am and whoever picked up spoke to me, with such care that I was at ease. Geico requested Sal's to come pick up my car. Dispatcher called to tell me they had a driver that could be there quicker but didn't have a flatbed. Told him my car requires a flatbed. He proceeded to question me, telling me that this driver towed a Tesla recently backwards. I told him to be my guest as long as he accepted responsibility when my front end got torn off and any other damage to my car. He became irate and argumentative saying he doesn't tell BMW how to fix cars, they shouldn't be dictating how he tows one. SERIOUSLY??!! After calling and giving them clear details of my vehicle, the driver shows up to change the tire with a jack that was not adequate to lift my vehicle. My battery died and I called up GEICO RSA at 2pm. I told them it wasn't an emergency however I needed a jump. They sent Sals Towing. GEICO said it would be 60 minutes. They showed in 15 minutes. My car was running less than 5 minutes later. Literally 20 minutes after my initial call my baby was ready to ride again. Pat, my hero, also told me that Sals has a repair shop. An amazing experience & this review should have been posted sooner. They were there to tow my car when my own insurance company, Progressive, or On Star were unable to get anyone to tow my car. I know the post below looks long, but it was a horrific night only made better when Sal's Towing, specifically Randy the driver, showed up to save me. Randy was great even reassuring me that everything would be OK even though the winds were so heavy it felt like my car was going to fly off the flatbed. He was very nice, very professional & extremely calm & patient. Please read the story to grasp the total picture. On Nov. 15th 2023, south Florida was literally underwater. Ft. Lauderdale, Sunrise, Oakland Park & many other surrounding areas received record breaking rain & floods. On my way home from the Pink concert at the FLA Live, at about 12am., I dropped off a friend in Oakland Park then making my way to Boca Raton. It is still a torrential downpour. As I turned onto Oakland Park Blvd off Dixie, my car hit something in the road or a pothole in the road that was under water. My low-pressure tire gage came on & I immediately pulled over to the left side of the road as the right side was completely submerged in water. My tire was flat, only later to find out the next day that the side wall was gashed open. I have run flats, which means there is no spare tire. I called On Star who told me a tow truck was on its way to tow the car to the Cadillac dealer in West Palm Beach & it would be about 90 minutes. After an hour I called back to ask if they would take me as a passenger as I live in West Palm Beach. On Star told me the tow truck wasn't coming because of the flood waters. I called Progressive Roadside who told me the same thing. Neither could get to me until later in the day. Now it's 3am. & I am frantic sitting in my car in the pouring rain unable to move. I called the police who called someone they knew who could tow my car. When he arrived, he was unable to tow it because it is a rear wheel drive & I needed a flatbed. He called his friend Sal, who called me immediately & said he would send someone within the hour. He was able to get my car on the flatbed, without damaging my rims, as it was a brand-new car, & drove it 45 miles to the Cadillac dealer in West Palm & then drove 45 miles back to Oakland Park. My ride never showed up at Cadillac to take me home, so Sal's Towing driver dropped me off at my house, since it was on his way to i95 South. I finally arrived home about 5:45am. Sal's Towing was appointed to me thru GEICO Insurance Co. They called me within 5 minutes of my request. The operator asked me if GEICO told me about the overage miles and said they only covered 20 miles and I had to pay the $157.00 difference. I asked how many miles away I was and said 49, so it meant I was being charged $5.41 per mile. I mentioned it was a little too steep of a fee, he replied he could cancel the request and I had to call back to get another company and that would delay the pick up time. I said how long it would take for them to pick me up, and said within the hour. I told him I would pay his asking price IF he would show up within the time-frame. When the time expired, got a call from GEICO and said the request was cancelled by the towing co. because they could not get a hold of me. BTW, I WAS AT THE TURNPIKE SERVICE PLAZA and gave them specific directions and even had a strobe light ON TOP!!! 5 HRS LATER, Thanks to sal's towing, made it home safe. Scoundrels, double dippers is how they act. BTW, the towing miles included exceeded the 49 miles to my location. Shame on them! Taking advantage of people in distress for personal gain!!! read more

All I have to say is that Sal's towing company exceeded expectations. If you need someone that cares and services right away, Sal's towing is the one to call. After my friend's car broke down (5pm), we called the insurance company for service (progressive) , horrible customer service. They couldn't help us. We started calling different towing companies (paying out of pocket) and after saying they would send someone and waiting over hours, they would call us and cancel. Sal's towing dispatcher treated me with respect and showed that he cared. Immediately send John (best tow guy) to the rescue. In less than 20 minutes we were on our way home. (remember since 5pm stranded in the middle of a heavy traffic main street). I can't thank you enough guys. Keep it up. read more

Poor customer service!! The dispatch agent is a lier!!!! He just told me that he, and the driver assigned to my roadside assistance claim, just gave me a call at arrival. I HAVE BEEN WAITING WITH MY PHONE IN MY HAND FOR OVER AN HOUR INSIDE MY CAR. I HAVE NO MISSED CALLS FROM ANYONE!!!! I explained that to the dispatched agent and he replied "Well, you should get your phone check out because we call you a few times..about 5 mins ago. " He also said " ..and now the driver is on another ride so you'll have to wait another 60 mins to get someone else." Now what since does that make if the first driver is only " 5 minutes away"? NO ONE called NO ONE came they just left me stranded. I had to end up calling a different company to help. DO NOT waste your time with this unprofessional company! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! I called for a tow, they quoted me $65 for hook up and $6 a mile. The distance was 9.3 miles. They charged me $75 for the hookup and then decided to round up to the nearest mile vs charging me the exact mileage which is easy to do these days. They also failed to tell me they charge a 4% credit card charge. The driver hooked my suv up quickly because it was in the middle of the street but failed to strap the tires down for a 9 mile ride. Just be aware and get exact confirmation. These slick tactics are wrong but seems normal in the towing industry. Me and my vehicle arrived safely, that's what matters most. read more

He tried to jump the car with no success. He stayed until the flatbed arrived shortly after. A pleasure to see guys that know what they're doing. I couldn't have been happier with my towing experience. Something busted in my car, (probably the alternator belt) and my mechanic referred me to Sal's to get my car towed to the shop. They were courteous and professional on the phone and told me the truck would arrive in about an hour. When the driver arrived, he was super friendly and professional. He introduced himself as John and had my car on the tow quickly. We were on the road within 10 minutes. As we drive, he explained the pricing to me and said he'd complete the billing when we dropped the car. When we got to the shop, he already knew what I had to do since we arrived after they were closed. And then...and this is the topper! He gave me a lift home. He didn't make it out to be a big deal, but it meant a lot to me. I would've been waiting for a ride at the car shop, in the dark, alone. Instead, I got a safe ride home, right to my friend door. If you have an accident in Coral Springs, they will be called to the scene...BEWARE OF SHADY PRACTICES! After my husband's car accident, Sal's was called out to the scene by the police response team since they are the contracted towing company with the City. They coerced my distraught husband into towing the car to their lot instead of our loyal local body shop stating false information. (ILLEGAL) They said it was after hours and our body shop was closed, so if they dropped us off there and something happened to our vehicle overnight, they would be liable (LIES, LIES, LIES). The next day we went to release the car from them (which was a 40 minute drive) to be towed to our original desired location and they casually (sneakily) asked if we needed anything out of the car, to which my husband said yes, however they neglected to mention the "small" $30 fee they would be charging for unlocking the gate and allowing us access to the vehicle that sat only a short distance from the entrance to their office. While retrieving his belongings, he was approached by another body shop (called there by the employee who opened the gate) who again tried to convince him to use them, stating they could get our deductible waived for us and that if our body shop didn't do that for us they were doing us an injustice. They towed us back to the original desired location and gave the body shop the bill of over $600 to pay on our behalf. They charged towing both ways...ok, charged for access to the vehicle...are you kidding me? and charged 2 days of storage fees for having our vehicle for less than 24 hours!!! read more

Great experience with Sal's. More specifically, Paul - big guy, 50's, awesome dude. I used the ERS from Geico to have my C63 towed to MB Fort Lauderdale at the tail-end of his 12 hour shift. I couldn't of received more patient and courteous service. He was extraordinarily careful to ensure that no damage was done to my car...I have after market Renntech modifications, and a ton of carbon fiber. Keeping in mind, he's going into hour 13 of a night shift - 100% patient and careful all the way. Honestly one of the best I've had in my near 30 years of driving. Job VERY well done. read more

Mr. Oliver McGill is a great example of the type of Tow-Truck-Driver which reflects well on Sal's Towing. Mr. McGill towed our vehicle as if it was his own. (I know, I followed behind him in my other Car.) He backed our SUV into a single-parking-space on the first-try, he had nailed it perfectly! That's experience. We also asked for a flat-bed truck to tow our AWD vehicle. He showed up with what looked like a standard Tow-Truck for a 2-wheel-Drive car. It seemed Sal's read my GEICO App and noted to send a tow-vehicle with the ability to have all-4-wheels off the ground. This new-type of tow-truck (at least to me) unfolded like 'Origami' to be perfect for an AWD vehicle!
