So much for convenience, right? Just another fun adulting task to add to the list! I found Terra Nova, which specializes in both, and that's all they do. You sign up on their website and they come out twice a year to turn your system off and drain it, turn it back on in the spring and check the backflow. They're one of EWEB's certified contractors, so they send the test results directly to EWEB. I signed up and they fit me in for the winterizing the same week. The cost seemed reasonable when you sign up for their ongoing service. So far, very pleased. One task checked off the list.

This business needs to provide a way for customers to see where the worker is in real time. I…read morerealize there was an emergency with one of the workers having to be out of the country but I had to wait at home for almost two entire work days so I could be here when the worker arrived for this service. I tried calling three times but couldn't leave a message and there was no outgoing message to tell the customer what was going on. Additionally, I had previously been told the leak in my pressure regulator would be fixed at the same time. Now I have to wait for another appointment to fix the original problem.

When they came to turn on the system a few days ago, something went wrong. The house water system lost all pressure as did the irrigation system being tested. They turned everything off and left, saying that Gordon would reschedule to fix it. He did not. He sent a letter saying that he would not be working for us anymore - with no explanation. We have called the company every day with no response. We are distraught. Legal action may be needed.

We have worked with many contractors on numerous projects at our home over the years. My wife and I by far had our best experience with Ed and his crew. Our project was not a small one.
